上記反応混合物からのモレキュラーシーブの結晶化は、例えばポリプロピレンジャーまたはテフロン(登録商標)ライニングされたもしくはステンレス鋼製のオートクレーブなどの適切な反応容器において、静的、転動、または撹拌条件下で、使用される温度で結晶化が起こるのに十分な時間、例えば、1日〜10日間、100℃〜200℃(例えば、120℃〜160℃)の温度で行うことができる。結晶化は、通常、自生圧力下で閉鎖系において行われる。
その合成されたままかつ無水の形態において、モレキュラーシーブSSZ−107は、以下のモル関係を含む化学組成を有する:

モレキュラーシーブSSZ−107は、気体および液体を乾燥するために;サイズおよび極性特性に基づく選択的な分子分離のために;イオン交換体として;化学キャリアとして;ガスクロマトグラフィーにおいて;ならびに触媒として、使用することができる。適切な触媒使用の例としては、有機化合物転化反応、モノアルキルアミンとジアルキルアミンの合成、有機酸素化物のオレフィンへの転化、および窒素酸化物の接触還元が挙げられる。

30.22gの脱イオン水、3.22gの50% NaOH溶液、14.62gの20% 1,1−ジエチルピロリジニウム水酸化物(SACHEM、Inc.)、および5.00gのCBV760Y−ゼオライト粉末(Zeolyst International、SiO2/Al2O3モル比=60)を一緒にテフロンライナー中で混合した。得られたゲルを均質になるまで撹拌した。次いで、ライナーをキャップし、Parr鋼製オートクレーブ反応器内に入れた。次いで、オートクレーブをオーブンに入れ、135℃で5日間加熱した。固体生成物を遠心分離によって回収し、脱イオン水で洗浄し、95℃で乾燥させた。
例1の合成されたままのモレキュラーシーブ生成物をマッフル炉内で540℃に加熱した空気流下で1℃/分の速度でか焼し、540℃で5時間保持し、冷却し、次いで粉末XRDで分析した。
例7のか焼されたモレキュラーシーブ材料を、90℃で2時間、10mL(モレキュラーシーブ1g当たり)の1N硝酸アンモニウム溶液で処理した。混合物を冷却し、溶媒をデカントして、同じプロセスを繰り返した。

- 前記有機酸素化物が、メタノール、ジメチルエーテル、またはそれらの組み合わせを含み、前記オレフィンが、エチレン、プロピレン、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項11に記載の有機化合物転化プロセス。
- 窒素酸化物を含有するガス流と、請求項1に記載のモレキュラーシーブを含む触媒とを接触させることを含む、窒素酸化物(NOx)を選択的に還元するプロセス。
- 前記触媒が、Cr、Mn、Fe、Co、Ce、Ni、Cu、Mo、Ru、Rh、Pd、Ag、Re、Ir、およびPtのうちの1つ以上から選択される遷移金属をさらに含む、請求項13に記載のプロセス。
- 前記遷移金属が、前記モレキュラーシーブの全重量に基づいて、0.1〜10重量%の量で存在する、請求項14に記載のプロセス。
