Description
Claims (15)
- ヘッドアップディスプレイのための光導波路であって、
前記光導波路は、
入力端から出力端まで伸び、前記入力端から前記出力端に、全内部反射によって光を案内するように構成された導波路本体と、
光が、前記導波路本体に沿って前記出力端に向かって内部全反射によって伝播する、前記導波路本体内に光を結合するための、前記導波路本体の前記入力端における入力結合デバイスと、
前記出力端における前記導波路本体の面上の出力結合構造と、
を備え、
前記出力結合構造は、個別に形成されるが、前記導波路本体に取り付けられ、
前記出力結合構造は、反射によって、前記光導波路から外に光を向けるように構成された反射構造である、
光導波路。 - 前記入力結合デバイスは、プリズム、または、回折格子である、請求項1に記載の光導波路。
- 前記出力結合構造は、鋸歯状格子である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の光導波路。
- 前記出力結合構造が、変化する反射率を提供するために前記導波路本体の伝播軸に沿って勾配をゆるくされた、改変型の鋸歯状格子である、請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- 前記鋸歯状格子は、格子の造作の大きさ、深さ、または、間隔を変えることによって勾配をゆるくされる、請求項4に記載の光導波路。
- さらに。前記導波路本体と前記出力結合構造との間に光学的なコーティングを備える、請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- さらに、前記出力結合構造の露出面上に光学的なコーティングを備える、請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- 前記出力結合構造が、透過性のあるUV硬化材料から形成される、請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の光導波路。
- ヘッドアップディスプレイのための導波路を製造する方法であって。
入力端と出力端を有する導波路本体を与えることと、
前記出力端における出力結合領域において、前記導波路の面上に光学的に透過性のある材料を堆積させることと、
光学的に透過性のある前記材料に反射構造を刻印することと、
出力結合構造を形成するために、光学的に透過性のある前記材料を硬化させることと、
のステップを備える、製造方法。 - 硬化させる前記ステップが、透過性のある前記材料をUV光に晒すことを備える、請求項9に記載の製造方法。
- 光学的に透過性のある前記材料が、液体またはゲル状の形態で堆積される、請求項9または10に記載の製造方法。
- さらに、前記導波路本体と光学的に透過性のある前記材料との間に光学的なコーティングを施すステップを備える、請求項9ないし請求項11のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
- さらに、前記出力結合構造の露出された面に光学的なコーティングを施すステップを備える、請求項9ないし請求項12のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
- 前記出力結合構造が鋸歯状格子である、請求項9ないし請求項13のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
- 前記出力結合構造が、変化する反射率を提供するために前記導波路本体の伝播軸に沿って勾配がゆるくされた、改変型の鋸歯状格子である、請求項9ないし請求項14のいずれか一項に記載の製造方法。
