Abstract
Description
(1)硬化した多層塗装系でコーティングされた基材を用意し、当該多層塗装系の最上層はオーバーベークされたクリアコートであり、
(2)少なくとも1つの1〜10個の炭素原子を有する有機カルボン酸を含む水性ベースコート材料を、(1)からのオーバーベークされたクリアコートに直接適用し、適用されたベースコート材料からポリマーフィルムを形成し、
(3)クリアコート材料を(2)で得られたベースコートフィルムに適用し、その後、
(4)(2)からのベースコートフィルム及び(3)からのクリアコートフィルムを一緒に硬化させる。
以下の表に記載されている製剤成分及びその量に関して、以下のことを考慮すべきである。市販の製品又は他のところに記載されている製造プロトコルを参照する場合、成分のために選択された特定の主要な(principal)指定にかかわらず、当該市販の製品のみ、又は当該参照されたプロトコルによって製造された製品のみを参照する。
表Aにおける「水性相」の下に挙げられた成分を記載した順番で一緒に攪拌して、水性混合物を形成した。次のステップにおいて、「有機相」の下に挙げられた成分から有機混合物を調製した。有機混合物を水性混合物に添加した。その後、組み合わせた混合物を10分間攪拌し、脱イオン水及びジメチルエタノールアミンを用いて8のpH、及び23℃で回転粘度計(Mettler−Toledo製のRheomat RM 180器)で測定された、1000s−1のせん断荷重の下で115mPasのスプレー粘度に調整した。
69.8質量部の国際特許出願WO 91/15528に従って製造されるアクリル化ポリウレタン分散系(バインダ分散系A)、12.5質量部のPaliogen(登録商標)Blue L 6482、1.5質量部のジメチルエタノールアミン(脱塩水中、10%)、1.2質量部の市販のポリエーテル(BASF SE製のPluriol(登録商標)P900)及び15質量部の脱イオン水から、青色ペーストを製造した。
40質量部の国際特許出願WO 91/15528に従って製造されるアクリル化ポリウレタン分散系(バインダ分散系A)、34.5質量部のCinilex(登録商標)DPP Red、2質量部の市販のポリエーテル(BASF SE製のPluriol(登録商標)P900)、3質量部の1−プロポキシ−2−プロパノール及び20.5質量部の脱イオン水から、赤色ペーストを製造した。
14.06質量部の安息香酸(IMCD Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG製)と102.4質量部の脱イオン水中の10%のジメチルエタノールアミン溶液との混合物8質量部をさらに添加することを除いて、表Aと同様に水溶性ベースコート材料I1を製造した。
14.5質量部の安息香酸と、13.6質量部の脱イオン水中の15%のアンモニア溶液と、66.6質量部の脱イオン水との混合物6.4質量部をさらに添加することを除いて、表Aと同様に水溶性ベースコート材料I2を製造した。
15.67質量部のパラ−トルイル酸(Sigma−Aldrich製、CAS No.:99‐94‐5)と102.4質量部の脱イオン水中の10%のジメチルエタノールアミン溶液との混合物8.1質量部をさらに添加することを除いて、表Aと同様に水溶性ベースコート材料I3を製造した。
15.67質量部のオルト−トルイル酸(Sigma−Aldrich製、CAS No.:118‐90‐1)と102.4質量部の脱イオン水中の10%のジメチルエタノールアミン溶液との混合物8.1質量部をさらに添加することを除いて、表Aと同様に水溶性ベースコート材料I4を製造した。
クロスカット耐性(cross-cut resistance)を測定するために、以下の一般的なプロトコルに従って多層塗装系を製造した:
硬化したカソード電着塗装系で被覆され、10×20cmの寸法を有するスチールシートを基材として使用した。
Claims (11)
- 水性ベースコート材料とオーバーベークされたクリアコート材料との接着性を向上させる目的で、前記水性ベースコート材料中に芳香族カルボン酸及び芳香脂肪族カルボン酸を使用する方法。
- 前記有機カルボン酸がモノカルボン酸である、請求項1に記載の使用方法。
- 前記ベースコート材料が、それぞれの水性ベースコート材料の総量に対して、0.1〜5質量%の芳香族及び/又は芳香脂肪族カルボン酸を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の使用方法。
- 前記ベースコート材料が、それぞれの水性ベースコート材料の総量に対して、0.3〜1.5質量%の芳香族及び/又は芳香脂肪族カルボン酸を含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の使用方法。
- 前記カルボン酸が、7個〜15個、好ましくは7個〜8個の炭素原子を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の使用方法。
- 前記ベースコート材料が、ポリウレタン、ポリエステル、ポリ(メタ)アクリレート及び/又は前述したポリマーのコポリマーからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのヒドロキシ官能性ポリマーをバインダとして含む、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の使用方法。
- 基材上に多層塗装系を製造する方法であって、
(1)硬化した多層塗装系でコーティングされた基材を用意し、前記多層塗装系の最上層がオーバーベークされたクリアコートであり、
(2)少なくとも1つの芳香族及び/又は芳香脂肪族カルボン酸を含む水性ベースコート材料を、(1)からのオーバーベークされたクリアコートに直接適用し、適用された前記ベースコート材料からポリマーフィルムを形成し、
(3)クリアコート材料を(2)で得られたベースコートフィルムに適用し、その後、
(4)(2)からのベースコートフィルム及び(3)からのクリアコートフィルムを一緒に硬化させる、方法。 - 前記方法が、段階(2)と段階(3)の間に段階(2a)をさらに含み、前記段階(2a)において、少なくとも1つのさらなるベースコート材料を、(2)で得られるベースコートフィルムの上に直接適用し、この少なくとも1つのさらなるベースコート材料からポリマーフィルムを形成し、その後、段階(3)において、クリアコート材料を、前記ベースコートフィルム又は段階(2a)で製造される最上層のベースコートフィルムの上に直接適用し、次に、段階(4)において、(2)及び(2a)からのベースコートフィルム、並びに、(3)からのクリアコートフィルムを一緒に硬化させる、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記基材が金属基材又はプラスチック基材である、請求項7又は8に記載の方法。
- 段階(1)からのオーバーベークされたクリアコートが、欠陥を示す多層塗装系の最上層を表す、請求項8又は9に記載の方法。
- 請求項7から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって、基材上に製造される多層塗装系。
