Abstract
Description
・居住環境を保護もしくは復元する、または空地を最大化する敷地開発
・不浸透性の表面を最小化する雨水設計
・不浸透性を低減し、また浸透を促進し、汚染物質の量を減らし、ならびに植生の屋根を使用するために代替表面および非建設技術を使用するヒート・アイランド効果
・永続的に灌漑しない、または飲用可能な消費を最小化するグリーン屋根(または緑の屋根、green roof)システムを使用することによる水の効率性
・建物およびシステムのエネルギー効率を最低レベルに設定することによる、エネルギーおよび最適化、ならびに
・バージン材の需要を減らし、また廃棄物を削減するための、ならびにリサイクルされた部品を使用するための、ならびに建物の500マイル以内で製造され、組み立てられた地域材を使用するための建設材および製品を再利用する材料およびリソース
1ガロンのシリカ・フリュームと1ガロンのスラグ・セメントと1.5ガロンのセメントとを少なくとも2分間共に混合した。細断タイヤ・ピースの75Ibsを混合物に加え、得られた混合物をさらに5分間混合した。その後、2ガロンの水を加えて乾燥混合物をウェットさせた。混合物を十分にウェット状態とし、12インチ×12インチのサイズ、4インチの深さのモールドに混合物を注ぎ入れ、これに1/2インチのグラウトを前もって加えた。モールドを充填し、蓋でモールド覆って閉じ、室温、周囲環境において5日間乾燥させた。混合物を各モールドにおいて乾燥し、得られた環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロックを取り外し、建設に使用できる状態とした。
[0050]で準備した環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロックを揚圧力耐性(uplift pressure resistance)について試験した。国際コード協議会(International Code Council(登録商標))のテスト・アプリケーション・スタンダード(TAS)114−95アペンディクス「D」に従い、マイアミ・デイド・カウンティの揚圧力プロトコル(Miami Dade County uplift protocol)に従って、コンクリート・デッキに直接混合した1インチのモルタルの頂部および底部のトッピングを含む、12インチ×12インチの細断タイヤ混合物を使用して、5000Ibシャティヨン耐久力テスタ(5000 Ib. capacity force Chatillon tester)を用いて、試験を実施した。失敗圧力は937.5psfで、フロリダ州マイアミ−デイド郡での最低基準45psfをはるかに上回った。

Claims (11)
- 環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロックであって、
頂面、該頂面に実質的に平行である底面ならびに該頂面および該底面に実質的に垂直な4つの側面を有するブロックを形成する、シリカ・フリューム、スラグ・セメントおよびセメントでコートされた複数の細断ラバー・ピース、ならびに
前記頂面、前記底面または該頂面および該底面の両方の外側に設けられた1またはそれよりも多いグラウト層
を有して成り、
前記ブロックが、前記頂面と前記底面との間の距離によって規定される深さを有し、
シリカ・フリューム、スラグ・セメントおよびセメントでコートされた複数の細断ラバー・ピースが、内側間隙マトリックス構造を形成する、
環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。 - 前記間隙マトリックス構造の少なくとも一部に設けられた発泡絶縁材をさらに有して成る、請求項1に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 前記ブロックが約12インチ平方である、請求項1に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 前記ブロックの厚さが約2インチよりも大きい、請求項3に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 前記ブロックの厚さが約4インチである、請求項4に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 前記ブロックの厚さが約2インチ〜約20インチである、請求項4に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 前記ブロックが屋根システムで使用される、請求項2に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 前記屋根システムが低勾配屋根システムを含んで成る、請求項7に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 壁、デッキまたは歩道の建設に使用するための、請求項1に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロック。
- 環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロックの製造方法であって、
実質的に乾燥したシリカ・フリュームとスラグ・セメントとセメントとを共に混合すること、
その後、実質的に乾燥したシリカ・フリュームとスラグ・セメントとセメントとの混合物に、細断ラバー・ピースを加え、該細断ラバーが実質的に完全にコートされるまで混合すること、
その後、シリカ・フリュームとスラグ・セメントとセメントと細断ラバー・ピースとの実質的に乾燥した混合物が、十分にウェット状態になるまで水を加えること、
その後、シリカ・フリュームとスラグ・セメントとセメントと細断ラバー・ピースとのウェット混合物を、グラウト層の頂部におけるモールドへと、該モールドが実質的に満たされるまで注ぐこと、
各モールドに蓋を取り付けること、ならびに
各モールドを乾燥させること
を含んで成る、製造方法。 - 前記モールドを周囲空気において乾燥する、請求項12に記載の環境に配慮した絶縁建設ブロックの製造方法。
