Abstract
Description
前記励起光の少なくとも一部が入射されて、前記励起光よりも長波長の蛍光を発する蛍光体と、
前記励起光と前記蛍光とが重ね合わされてなる出射光を出射する光取り出し面とを備え、
前記出射光は、少なくとも前記励起光のピーク波長以上1050nm以下の範囲にわたる発光を示し、且つ、少なくとも前記励起光のピーク波長から1050nmまでの範囲内において、全て1050nmでの発光強度以上の発光強度を示すことを特徴とする。
以下、別実施形態につき説明する。

Claims (6)
- 380nm以上500nm以下の範囲内に単一のピーク波長を有する励起光を発するLED素子と、
前記励起光の少なくとも一部が入射されて、前記励起光よりも長波長の蛍光を発する蛍光体と、
前記励起光と前記蛍光とが重ね合わされてなる出射光を出射する光取り出し面とを備え、
前記出射光は、少なくとも前記励起光のピーク波長以上1050nm以下の範囲にわたる発光を示し、且つ、少なくとも前記励起光のピーク波長から1050nmまでの範囲内において、全て1050nmでの発光強度以上の発光強度を示すことを特徴とする、発光素子。 - 前記出射光は、波長が430nm以上1050nm以下の範囲にわたる発光を示すことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の発光素子。
- 前記出射光は、前記励起光のピーク波長以上1050nm以下の範囲内における発光強度の極小値が、前記励起光のピーク波長における発光強度に対して0.5%以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の発光素子。
- 前記蛍光体は、前記励起光が入射されると、500nm以上600nm以下の範囲内にピーク波長を有する第一蛍光を生成する第一蛍光体と、600nm以上1050nm以下の範囲内にピーク波長を有する第二蛍光を生成する第二蛍光体とを含んでなることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の発光素子。
- 前記第二蛍光体は、600nm以上900nm以下の範囲内にピーク波長を有する蛍光を生成する蛍光体と、900nm以上1050nm以下の範囲内にピーク波長を有する蛍光を生成する蛍光体とを含んでなることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の発光素子。
- 前記蛍光体は、少なくとも前記第一蛍光体と前記第二蛍光体とが混合又は積層されてなることを特徴とする、請求項4又は5に記載の発光素子。
