Claims (4)
- 所定のネットワークを介してコンテンツの断片データを受信して、前記断片データに基づいて前記コンテンツを再生する再生装置であって、
前記コンテンツを配信する複数の配信元に交互に接続して、前記コンテンツにおいて連続する所定の取得数の前記断片データを前記各配信元から受信し、
前記断片データを前記配信元から該再生装置へ配信する際のネットワーク特性を計測し、
前記複数の配信元のそれぞれの前記ネットワーク特性を比較して、前記ネットワーク特性が最も良好な前記配信元を高優先配信元として選択し、前記高優先配信元以外の他の前記配信元を低優先配信元として判断し、前記高優先配信元からの前記取得数を、前記低優先配信元からの前記取得数よりも増加させることを特徴とする再生装置。 - 前記複数の配信元の数の所定倍数を、前記高優先配信元の判断に用いる前記断片データの数である判断単位に設定し、
前記コンテンツの再生を開始して前記複数の配信元のそれぞれに1回目に接続する間に受信する前記断片データの前記取得数を、前記判断単位を前記複数の配信元の数で除算した共通の第1取得数に設定し、
前記ネットワーク特性の計測結果に基づいて前記高優先配信元を選択したとき、前記高優先配信元からの前記取得数を前記第1取得数よりも多い第2取得数に設定し、前記低優先配信元からの前記取得数を前記判断単位から前記第2取得数を減算した第3取得数に設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の再生装置。 - 前記ネットワーク特性として、前記取得数の前記断片データのそれぞれの配信の平均スループットを算出することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の再生装置。
- 請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の再生装置としてコンピュータを機能させるためのプログラム。
