Claims (20)
- 装置であって、
プリントヘッドのカバープレートを有し、前記カバープレートは、
導電性材料の複数のレイヤと、
前記複数のレイヤに挟まれた非導電性フェライトのレイヤと、
前記複数のレイヤと前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤとを貫通し、前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤを通って前記複数のレイヤの間に電流の導電経路を形成する少なくとも1つのコネクタと、
前記複数のレイヤと前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤとを貫通し、前記プリントヘッドのノズルと位置合わせされるように構成される少なくとも1つの開口部と
を有する、
装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つのコネクタは、前記複数のレイヤのうち第1のレイヤを通り前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤに垂直に延び、前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤを通る面内で延び、前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤを通り前記複数のレイヤのうち第2のレイヤに垂直に伸びる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記複数のレイヤは1平方フットあたり1/2オンスないし2オンスの間の厚さを有する銅メッキを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記導電性材料のレイヤ間の抵抗を検出するセンサをさらに有する、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記非導電性フェライトはニッケル亜鉛およびマンガン亜鉛よりなる群から選択される、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記複数のレイヤの少なくとも1つのレイヤは接地電圧に電気的に結合するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記カバープレートの端部から外向きに突き出した突起をさらに有する、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記非導電性フェライトは1平方センチメートル当たり500百万オームないし1.5十億オームの体積抵抗率を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つのコネクタは前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤ中で方向を変える、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの開口部は、前記ノズルが前記カバープレートに延在できるように、サイズが少なくとも1インチ×2インチである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの開口部は、各々直径が1/8インチ未満の開口の格子を有する、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤは厚さが少なくとも1ミリメートルである、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - プリントヘッドであって、
請求項1に記載の装置を有し、
前記少なくとも1つの開口部は、前記プリントヘッドの少なくとも1つのノズルと位置合わせされ、前記複数のレイヤのうちの1つのレイヤは接地と電気的に結合し、前記複数のレイヤのうちの他の1つのレイヤは印刷媒体に面する、
プリントヘッド。 - プリンタであって、
請求項1に記載の装置を有し、
前記少なくとも1つの開口部は、プリントヘッドの少なくとも1つのノズルと位置合わせされ、前記複数のレイヤのうちの1つのレイヤは接地と電気的に結合し、前記複数のレイヤのうちの他の1つのレイヤは印刷媒体に面する、
プリンタ。 - システムであって、
プリンタを有し、前記プリンタは、
複数のプリントヘッドを有するマーキングエンジンであって、各プリントヘッドは印刷媒体から前記プリントヘッドを制御する回路への静電気放電を緩和するカバープレートを含むマーキングエンジンを有し、
各カバープレートは、
導電性材料の複数のレイヤと、
前記複数のレイヤに挟まれた非導電性フェライトのレイヤと、
前記複数のレイヤと前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤとを貫通し、前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤを通って前記複数のレイヤの間に電流の導電経路を形成する少なくとも1つのコネクタと、
前記複数のレイヤと前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤとを貫通する少なくとも1つの開口部と、
印刷時に前記マーキングエンジンの動作を命令するプリントコントローラとを有する、
システム。 - 各カバープレートについて、前記少なくとも1つのコネクタは、前記複数のレイヤのうち第1のレイヤを通り前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤに垂直に延び、前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤを通る面内で延び、前記非導電性フェライトのレイヤを通り前記複数のレイヤのうち第2のレイヤに垂直に伸びる、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 各カバープレートについて、前記複数のレイヤは1平方フットあたり1/2オンスないし2オンスの間の厚さを有する銅メッキを含む、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 各カバープレートについて、前記少なくとも1つのコネクタの幅は1/10インチないし1/2インチの間である、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 各カバープレートについて、前記非導電性フェライトはニッケル亜鉛およびマンガン亜鉛よりなる群から選択される、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 各カバープレートについて、前記複数のレイヤの少なくとも1つは、接地電圧に電気的に結合している、請求項15に記載のシステム。
