Abstract
Description
二次電池の電圧及び電流を監視して二次電池の充放電を制御する充放電制御装置であって、
前記二次電池と外部端子の間の電流経路に設けられ、互いのドレインが接続された充電制御FET及び放電制御FETと、
前記充電制御FETとドレイン及びゲートが接続された放電基準FETと、
前記二次電池の一端が接続される第一の電源端子と、前記二次電池の他端と前記放電制御FETのソースが接続される第二の電源端子と、前記充電制御FETのゲートが接続される充電制御端子と、前記放電制御FETのゲートが接続される放電制御端子と、前記放電基準FETのソースが接続される放電過電流基準端子と、前記充電制御FETのソースが接続される放電過電流検出端子と、を有する充放電制御回路と、を備え、
前記充放電制御回路は、前記放電過電流基準端子の電圧に基づく放電過電流基準電圧と前記放電過電流検出端子の電圧によって放電過電流を監視する放電過電流検出回路と、前記放電過電流検出回路の信号によって前記放電制御FETを制御する信号を出力する制御回路と、を有することを特徴とする。

Claims (6)
- 二次電池の電圧及び電流を監視して二次電池の充放電を制御する充放電制御装置であって、
前記二次電池の一端に接続される第一の外部端子と、
第二の外部端子と、
前記二次電池の他端と前記第二の外部端子と間に設けられ、互いのドレインが接続された充電制御FET及び放電制御FETと、
前記充電制御FETのドレインとドレインが接続され、前記充電制御FETのゲートとゲートが接続された放電基準FETと、
前記二次電池の一端が接続される第一の電源端子と、前記二次電池の他端と前記放電制御FETのソースが接続される第二の電源端子と、前記充電制御FETのゲートが接続される充電制御端子と、前記放電制御FETのゲートが接続される放電制御端子と、前記放電基準FETのソースが接続される放電過電流基準端子と、前記充電制御FETのソースが接続される放電過電流検出端子と、を有する充放電制御回路と、を備え、
前記充放電制御回路は、前記放電過電流基準端子の電圧に基づく放電過電流基準電圧と前記放電過電流検出端子の電圧によって放電過電流を監視する放電過電流検出回路と、前記放電過電流検出回路の信号によって前記放電制御FETを制御する信号を出力する制御回路と、を有する
ことを特徴とする充放電制御装置。 - 前記充放電制御装置は、前記放電制御FETのドレインとドレインが接続され、前記放電制御FETのゲートとゲートが接続された充電基準FETを備え、
前記充放電制御回路は、前記充電基準FETのソースが接続される充電過電流基準端子と、前記充電過電流基準端子の電圧に基づく充電過電流基準電圧と前記第二の電源端子の電圧によって充電過電流を監視する充電過電流検出回路と、を有し、
前記制御回路は、前記充電過電流検出回路の信号によって前記充電制御FETを制御する信号を出力する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の充放電制御装置。 - 前記充電制御FET及び前記放電制御FETと前記放電基準FET及び前記充電基準FETとは、縦型のMOSFETである
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の充放電制御装置。 - 前記充電制御FET及び前記放電制御FETと前記放電基準FET及び前記充電基準FETは、前記充放電制御回路と異なる半導体基板上に形成された
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の充放電制御装置。 - 前記充放電制御回路は、
前記放電過電流検出端子の電圧と前記第二の電源端子の電圧を比較し、前記第一の外部端子と前記第二の外部端子の間に充電電流が流れていることを検出すると、前記制御回路に充電電流検出信号を出力する比較回路を有し、
前記制御回路は、前記充電電流検出信号に応じて前記放電過電流検出回路の電流経路と前記充電過電流検出回路の電流経路を切替える
こと特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の充放電制御装置。 - 前記二次電池と、
請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の充放電制御装置と、を備えた
ことを特徴とするバッテリ装置。
