Abstract
Description
本出願は、2015年11月27日出願の欧州特許出願第15306883.8号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、この出願の全内容は、あらゆる目的のために参照により本明細書に援用される。
i)液相中クレー物質およびフリーラジカル開始剤の分散液を提供するステップと;
ii)前記分散液に、塩化ビニリデンおよびそれと共重合可能な少なくとも1種のエチレン性不飽和モノマーを添加するステップと;
iii)塩化ビニリデンおよび前記少なくとも1種のエチレン性不飽和モノマーを重合させて、塩化ビニリデンポリマーコンポジットを形成するステップと
を含み、
クレー物質の量は、液相に対して1リットル(「gL−1」)当たり10.0〜60.0g、好ましくは液相に対して25.0〜40.0gL−1であり、コポリマーは、82/18〜93/7、好ましくは85/15〜90/10の塩化ビニリデン/前記エチレン性不飽和モノマーの重量%(wt%)を有する、方法。

− Disponil(登録商標)LDBS25:258gL−1のアニオン性界面活性剤での溶液(BASFから入手可能);
− クレー:ラポナイト(登録商標)RDS;ラポナイト(登録商標)S482;ラポナイト(登録商標)XLG;およびCloisite(登録商標)Na+(すべてBYK Additivesから入手可能);
− MA:メチルアクリレート(純度>99%;真空下で蒸留;Aldrichから入手可能);
− Na4P2O7:ピロリン酸ナトリウム(純度98%;Aldrichから入手可能);
− VDC:塩化ビニリデン(純度99.5%(GC);25重量%のNaOH溶液で洗浄;Flukaから入手可能);および
− 水:PureLabシステムで脱イオン化。
ポリマーへのモノマー転化率は、重量分析により決定した。
40gL−1のクレー(モノマーに基づく10重量%クレー分率)と共のエマルジョン重合によるP(VDC−co−MA)/ラポナイトコンポジットラテックスの合成
実施例1において、0.16g(0.7ミリモル)のAPSおよび3.2gのラポナイトS482を、80.3gの水に添加した。この混合物を、開始剤の完全溶解およびクレーの完全剥離まで(最小限3時間)撹拌した。固体含有量をほぼ31%、およびモノマー(VDC/MA)の重量%を90/10に固定した。次いで、混合物を反応器に導入し、窒素で20分間パージした。同時に、VDCおよびMAを別個に窒素で0℃にて20分間パージし、浴を反応器に接続することなく70℃で予熱した。20分後、3.2g(0.037モル)のMAおよび28.8g(0.297モル)のVDCを反応器に注入バルブを介して導入し、オートクレーブを窒素で1バールに加圧した。反応混合物を300rpmにてアンカーで撹拌し、70℃で加熱した。
約30%の固体含有量で異なる重量%のVDC/MAについてのエマルジョン重合によるP(VDC−co−MA)/ラポナイトS482コンポジットラテックスの合成
モノマー組成を変えた以外は、実施例4〜実施例7を実施例1で使用した手順に従って行った:実施例4においてVDC/MA=83/17(重量%/重量%)、実施例5においてVDC/MA=85/15(重量%/重量%)、実施例6においてVDC/MA=87/13(重量%/重量%)、および実施例7においてVDC/MA=93/7(重量%/重量%)。
様々なクレー含有量と共のほぼ30%の固体含有量でのエマルジョン重合によるP(VDC−co−MA)/ラポナイトS482コンポジットラテックスの合成
得られたラテックスの平均粒子直径およびそのコロイド安定性に対するクレー濃度の影響を理解するために、一連の実験を実行した。固体含有量をほぼ30%、およびモノマー(VDC/MA)の重量%を87/13(すなわち、4.2g(0.048モル)のMAおよび27.8g(0.287モル)のVDCを導入した)に固定した。ラポナイトS482の量を液相に対して4.0、12.5、20.0、30.0、40.0、および60.0gL−1に調整した以外は、実施例8C〜実施例13を実施例1と同じ手順に従って行った。重合の最後に、ラテックスを、転化率および粒子サイズの決定について、それぞれ、重量分析およびDLSにより分析した。
異なる固体含有量およびクレー含有量でのエマルジョン重合によるP(VDC−co−MA)/ラポナイトS482コンポジットラテックスの合成
実施例14において、0.10g(0.47ミリモル)のAPSおよび1.0gのラポナイトS482を、100.0gの水に添加した。この混合物を、開始剤の完全溶解およびクレーの完全剥離まで少なくとも3時間撹拌した。次いで、混合物を反応器に導入し、窒素で20分間パージした。同時に、VDCおよびMAを別個に窒素で0℃にて20分間パージし、浴を反応器に接続することなく70℃で予熱した。20分後、2.0g(0.023モル)のMAおよび18.0g(0.186モル)のVDCを、反応器に注入バルブを介して導入し、オートクレーブを窒素で1バールに加圧した。反応混合物を300rpmにてアンカーで撹拌し、70℃で加熱した。
界面活性剤を使用してのエマルジョン重合によるP(VDC−co−MA)/ラポナイトS482コンポジットラテックスの合成
0.17gのDisponil(登録商標)LDBS25溶液を水相に界面活性剤として添加する以外は、実施例17を実施例16と同じ手順に従って行った。
Claims (14)
- 塩化ビニリデンポリマーコンポジットを調製する方法であって、
i)液相中クレー物質およびフリーラジカル開始剤の分散液を提供するステップと;
ii)前記分散液に、塩化ビニリデンおよびそれと共重合可能な少なくとも1種のエチレン性不飽和モノマーを添加するステップと;
iii)塩化ビニリデンおよび前記少なくとも1種のエチレン性不飽和モノマーを重合させて、塩化ビニリデンポリマーコンポジットを形成するステップと
を含み、
クレー物質の量は、前記液相に対して1リットル当たり10.0〜60.0g(「gL−1」)、好ましくは前記液相に対して25.0〜40.0gL−1であり、かつ前記コポリマーは、82/18〜93/7、好ましくは85/15〜90/10の塩化ビニリデン/前記エチレン性不飽和モノマーの重量%(wt%)を有する、方法。 - 前記クレー物質が、前記塩化ビニリデンポリマーの粒子表面を囲む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記クレー物質が、モンモリロナイト、ヘクトライト、ラポナイト、サポナイト、マイカ、バーミュキュライト、ノントロナイト、ベイデライト、ボルコンスコイト、カオリナイト、蛇紋岩、およびギブサイトからなる群から選択される、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
