Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- 塞栓除去装置であって、
内側ルーメンを有するオープンセル構造を形成する複数の相互接続されたストラットを含む血栓係合構造体であって、送達カテーテルから血管内に放出されたときに、半径方向に拘束された形態から半径方向に拡張した形態へと拡張するようにバイアスされているか又は拡張可能である血栓係合構造体と、
前記血栓係合構造体の内側ルーメン内に位置する支持構造体であって、前記血栓係合構造体のそれぞれのストラットに連結された複数のコネクタを有する支持構造体とを備え、
前記血栓係合構造体が送達カテーテルから血管内に放出されたときに、前記コネクタが、半径方向に拘束された形態から半径方向に拡張した形態へと移動するようにバイアスされているか又は移動可能であり、それにより、前記血栓係合構造体の拡張を引き起こすか、または補助し、かつ/または促し、かつ/またはオープンセル構造を形成および維持することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項1に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記支持構造体が、前記血栓係合構造体のルーメンを少なくとも部分的に通って延びる細長い中央支持部材をさらに備え、前記複数のコネクタのうちの各コネクタが、前記中央支持部材に連結された第1端部と、前記血栓係合構造体のそれぞれのストラットに連結された第2端部とを有することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項2に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記中央支持部材が前記血栓係合構造体に対して移動可能であることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項2または3に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
各コネクタが、前記コネクタよりも近位側に延在する前記中央支持部材のセグメントと鈍角を形成することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項4に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記支持構造体が半径方向に拡張された形態にあるときよりも、前記支持構造体が半径方向に拘束された形態にあるときの方が、それぞれのコネクタと前記中央支持部材との間に形成される鈍角が大きいことを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項2乃至5の何れか一項に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記複数のコネクタの第1端部が、前記中央支持部材に沿って、軸方向にオフセットされたそれぞれの位置で前記中央支持部材に接続されていることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項2乃至6の何れか一項に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記複数のコネクタの第1端部が、前記中央支持部材に沿って、周方向にオフセットしたそれぞれの位置で前記中央支持部材に接続されていることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項1に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記複数のコネクタのうちの各コネクタが、前記血栓係合構造体のそれぞれの第1のストラットに接続された第1端部と、前記血栓係合構造体のそれぞれの第2のストラットに接続された第2端部とを有することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項8に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
それぞれの第1および第2のストラットが、前記血栓係合構造体の異なる側に位置することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項8または9に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記コネクタのうちの1またはそれ以上が、それぞれの中間点で、一定の角度を形成することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項8乃至10の何れか一項に記載の塞栓除去装置において、
前記コネクタの各々が中間部分を含み、前記コネクタの1またはそれ以上のそれぞれの中間部分が、前記血栓係合構造体に対するそれぞれのコネクタのヒンジのような動作を可能にする、柔軟部分、屈曲点、リビングヒンジまたはその他の適切なジョイントを含むことを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
