Abstract
Description
Claims (12)
- 患者の眼の水晶体嚢内に移植されるように構成された眼内レンズであって、
遠位端と近位端とを有する変形可能な外側ケーシングと、
前記患者の眼の光軸を横切るように位置付けられ、かつ光学流体を保持するための内部チャンバを少なくとも部分的に画定する少なくとも1つの弾性膜面を有する流体光学系と、
前記流体光学系に関連付けられ、遠位端と近位端とを有する内側ケーシングであって、各端は、前記外側ケーシングの対応する遠位端および近位端に結合されて、前記内側および外側ケーシング間に貯蔵部を画定し、前記貯蔵部は、少なくとも部分的に前記流体光学系の周辺の周りに配置され、かつ前記光学系の前記内部チャンバと流体連通する、内側ケーシングと
を含み、
前記変形可能な外側ケーシングは、前記水晶体嚢が軸方向に圧縮されると、前記貯蔵部の容積を増大させ、かつ流体を前記チャンバから前記貯蔵部内へと吸引し、弾性膜の曲率を変更する方法で変形するように構成される、眼内レンズ。 - 前記内側ケーシングは柔軟である、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記内側ケーシングの前記近位端にわたる透明要素をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記内側ケーシングと前記流体光学系の前記変形可能な膜とは一体に形成される、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記内側ケーシングは、前記流体光学系に軸方向の深さを提供する実質的に円筒状の側壁をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記内側ケーシングの前記円筒状の側壁は、前記貯蔵部と前記光学系の前記内部チャンバとの間の前記流体連通を提供する少なくとも1つの穴をさらに含む、請求項5に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記側壁は前記内側ケーシングの前記遠位端を形成し、かつ前記外側ケーシングに密着される、請求項5に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記流体光学系は、前記貯蔵部の少なくとも側壁画定部分を有し、かつ前記貯蔵部と前記光学系の前記内部チャンバとの間の前記流体連通を提供する少なくとも1つの穴を有する別の要素を含む、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記内側ケーシングは前記流体光学系に結合される、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記流体光学系の前記側壁は前記外側ケーシングに密着される、請求項1に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 視力障害を治療する方法であって、
眼内レンズを患者の眼の水晶体嚢内に挿入するステップであって、前記眼内レンズは、
遠位端と近位端とを有する変形可能な外側ケーシングと、
光学流体を保持するための内部チャンバを少なくとも部分的に画定する少なくとも1つの弾性膜面を有する流体光学系と、
前記流体光学系に関連付けられ、遠位端と近位端とを有する内側ケーシングであって、各端は、前記外側ケーシングの対応する遠位端および近位端に結合されて、前記内側および外側ケーシング間に貯蔵部を画定し、前記貯蔵部は、少なくとも部分的に前記流体光学系の周辺の周りに配置され、かつ前記光学系の前記内部チャンバと流体連通する、内側ケーシングと
を含む、ステップと、
弾性膜が前記眼の光軸を横切って配置されるように前記流体光学系を前記水晶体嚢内に配置するステップと、
前記水晶体嚢が軸方向に圧縮されると、前記貯蔵部の容積を増大させ、かつ流体を前記チャンバから前記貯蔵部内へと吸引し、前記弾性膜の曲率を変更する方法で前記変形可能な外側ケーシングが変形するように、前記眼内レンズを前記水晶体嚢内に配置するステップと
を含む方法。 - 眼内レンズであって、
光学流体を収容するための第一の空洞と、少なくとも部分的に前記第一の空洞の周囲に配置され、かつそれと流体連通する周辺空洞とを画定する流体光学系本体であって、前記第一の空洞は、患者の眼の光軸を横切って延びるように構成された変形可能な光学膜により少なくとも部分的に画定される、流体光学系本体を含み、
水晶体嚢の軸方向の圧縮は、流体が前記第一の空洞から前記周辺空洞へと流れて前記膜の曲率を変化させるように、前記周辺空洞の容積を増大させるように構成される、眼内レンズ。
