式(1)中、nは1.95〜2.05の正数を示す。また、R1は、同一又は異なっていてよい、置換又は非置換の一価の炭化水素基を示す。炭化水素基の炭素原子数は、好ましくは1〜12であり、より好ましくは1〜8である。
R4 aSiO(4−a)/2 …(2)
式(2)中、aは1.5〜2.8の正数を示し、好ましくは1.8〜2.5、より好ましくは1.95〜2.05である。また、R4は、同一又は異なっていてよい、置換又は非置換の一価の炭化水素基を示す。但し、一分子中のR4のうち少なくとも2つはアルケニル基である。炭化水素基の炭素原子数は、好ましくは1〜12であり、より好ましくは1〜8である。
R5 bHcSiO(4−b−c)/2 …(3)
式(3)中、bは0.7〜2.1の正数を示し、cは0.001〜1.0の正数を示し、b+cは0.8〜3.0である。また、R5は、同一又は異なっていてよい、置換又は非置換の一価の炭化水素基を示す。炭化水素基の炭素原子数は、好ましくは1〜10である。なお、R5としては、上記R1として例示した基と同じ基が例示できる。
チタンジイソプロポキシビス(アセチルアセトネート)、チタンテトラアセチルアセトネート、チタンジイソプロポキシビス(エチルアセトアセテート)、チタニウムジ−2−エチルヘキソキシ−ビス(2−エチル−3−ヒドロキシヘキソキシド)、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸チタン化合物、リン酸チタン化合物、チタンオクチレングリコレート、チタンラクテート、チタンラクテートアンモニウム塩、チタンジイソプロポキシビス(トリエタノールアミネート)、チタンアミノエチルアミノエタノレート、ジ−n−ブトキシ・ビス(トリエタノールアミナト)チタン等のチタンキレート化合物;
トリ−n−ブトキシチタンモノステアレート、ジイソプロポキシチタンジステアレート、チタニウムステアレート、(2−n−ブトキシカルボニルベンゾイルオキシ)トリブトキシチタン、n−ブチルリン酸エステルチタン等のチタンアシレート;
などが挙げられる。
無電解ニッケルメッキ処理が施された軸体(SUM22製、直径10mm、長さ275mm)をエタノールで洗浄し、その表面にシリコーン系プライマー(商品名「プライマーNo.16」、信越化学工業製)を塗布した。プライマーを塗布した軸体を、ギヤオーブンを用いて150℃の温度にて10分焼成処理した後、常温にて30分以上冷却し、軸体の外周面にプライマー層を形成した。
すなわち、両末端がジメチルビニルシロキシ基で封鎖されたジメチルポリシロキサン(重合度300)100質量部、BET比表面積が110m2/gである疎水化処理されたヒュームドシリカ(日本アエロジル社製、R−972)1質量部、平均粒子径が6μm、嵩密度が0.25g/cm3である珪藻土(オプライトW−3005S、中央シリカ製)40質量部、及び、アセチレンブラック(デンカブラックHS−100、デンカ製)5質量部をプラネタリーミキサーに入れ、30分撹拌した後、3本ロールに1回通した。これを再度プラネタリーミキサーに戻し、架橋剤として、両末端及び側鎖にSi−H基を有するメチルハイドロジェンポリシロキサン(重合度17、Si−H量0.0060mol/g)2.1質量部、反応制御剤としてエチニルシクロヘキサノール0.1質量部、白金触媒(Pt濃度1%)0.1質量部、及び、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンオイル(商品名「KF−644」、信越化学工業製)0.9質量部を添加し、30分撹拌して混練して、付加硬化型液状導電性シリコーンゴム組成物を調製した。
すなわち、アクリルポリオール28質量部、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート(商品名「デュラネートE402−B80B」、旭化成製)17質量部、ジブチルスズジラウレート(昭和化学製)0.02質量部、小径シリカ(平均粒子径4.4μm、商品名「ACEMATT OK−607」、エボニックデグサ製)4質量部、イオン導電剤(商品名「EF−N112」、三菱電子化成マテリアル製)0.1質量部、有機チタン化合物(商品名「TC−750」、マツモトファインケミカル製)3質量部、及び、酢酸ブチル(溶媒)30質量部を混合して、樹脂原料を得た。
作製した現像ローラを装着した画像形成装置を用い、下記(i)〜(iii)の条件下でそれぞれ複数のA4用紙に幅202mm、長さ288mmのベタ画像を印字し、印字濃度、画像均一性、及びドラムカブリの有無を評価した。
(i)温度10℃、湿度22%RH
(ii)温度23℃、湿度55%RH
(iii)温度30℃、湿度80%RH
被覆層の形成に際して、イオン導電剤に代えて、「ビオミセル BN−1300」(ヒドロキシ基を有する有機ホウ素化合物及び三級アミン化合物の反応生成物である分子化合物、ボロン研究所製)1質量部に変更したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして現像ローラを作製し、画像形成装置に装着した。この画像形成装置を用いて、実施例1と同様にして印字特性の評価を行った。評価結果は表1に示すとおりとなった。
有機チタン化合物に代えて酸化チタン粉末(R−5N、堺化学工業製)3質量部を配合したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして現像ローラを作製し、画像形成装置に装着した。この画像形成装置を用いて、実施例1と同様にして印字特性の評価を行った。評価結果は表1に示すとおりとなった。
Claims (9)
- 軸体と、
前記軸体の外周面上に設けられた弾性層と、
前記弾性層上に設けられており、ポリオール成分、ポリイソシアネート成分及び有機チタン化合物を含有する樹脂原料の硬化物を含む被覆層と、
を備える、現像ローラ。 - 前記樹脂原料における前記有機チタン化合物の含有量が、前記ポリオール成分及び前記ポリイソシアネート成分の合計量100質量部に対して、0.1質量部以上5質量部以下である、請求項1に記載の現像ローラ。
- 前記樹脂原料が導電性付与剤を更に含有する、請求項1又は2に記載の現像ローラ。
- 前記導電性付与剤がイオン導電剤を含む、請求項3に記載の現像ローラ。
- 前記樹脂原料における前記イオン導電剤の含有量が、前記ポリオール成分及び前記ポリイソシアネート成分の合計量100質量部に対して、0.1質量部以上5質量部以下である、請求項4に記載の現像ローラ。
- 前記導電性付与剤が、ヒドロキシ基を有する有機ホウ素化合物及び三級アミン化合物の反応生成物である分子化合物を含む、請求項3に記載の現像ローラ。
- 前記樹脂原料における前記分子化合物の含有量が、前記ポリオール成分及び前記ポリイソシアネート成分の合計量100質量部に対して、0.2質量部以上5質量部以下である、請求項6に記載の現像ローラ。
- 軸体の外周面上に弾性層を形成する第一の工程と、
前記弾性層上に塗布された、ポリオール成分、ポリイソシアネート成分及び有機チタン化合物を含有する樹脂原料を硬化させて、前記樹脂原料の硬化物を含む被覆層を形成する第二の工程と、
を備える、現像ローラの製造方法。 - 請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の現像ローラを備える、画像形成装置。
