Claims (1)
- 機関排気通路内に配置された三元触媒と、
前記三元触媒の温度、前記三元触媒に流入する排気ガスの空燃比、及び、機関吸入空気量を含む機関運転状態を検出するように構成されている運転状態センサと、
前記三元触媒から流出する排気ガス中のアンモニア濃度を検出するように構成されているアンモニアセンサと、
電子制御ユニットであって、
前記三元触媒に流入する排気ガスの空燃比が理論空燃比よりもリッチのときに前記三元触媒から流出する排気ガス中のアンモニア濃度を検出するとともに、このときの前記機関運転状態を検出し、
検出された前記機関運転状態における基準アンモニア濃度を算出し、
検出された前記アンモニア濃度が前記基準アンモニア濃度よりも高いときに前記三元触媒の劣化度合いがあらかじめ定められた設定度合いよりも高いと判断する、
ように構成されている電子制御ユニットと、
を備えた、内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
