Abstract
Description
(1)概日サイクルに基づいて、明期が暗期よりも長い光環境で管理する長日管理下で育成牛を飼育する方法であって、前記明期は、前記育成牛に対して青色光を含む光を照射する第1の期間と、該第1の期間に続く、前記育成牛に対して青色光を含まず、アンバー色光を含む光を照射する第2の期間とを含むことを特徴とする育成牛の飼育方法。
(2)前記概日サイクルが23時間〜25時間の範囲内であり、前記明期が15時間〜17時間の範囲内であり、前記暗期が9時間〜7時間の範囲内であることを特徴とする(1)に記載の育成牛の飼育方法。
(3)前記第2の期間が、1時間〜3時間の範囲内であることを特徴とする(2)に記載の育成牛の飼育方法。
(4)前記青色光を含まず、アンバー色光を含む光が、ピーク波長が570nm〜610nmの範囲内の光を含み、かつ、波長が380nm〜500nmの範囲内の光を含まないことを特徴とする(1)〜(3)の何れか1項に記載の育成牛の飼育方法。
外光を遮断した畜舎内でホルスタインの子牛(8週齢、体重は97±4.1kg)6頭の飼育を7日間行った。飼育における概日サイクルを、それぞれ朝5時から翌日の朝5時までの24時間とした。ここで、明期の第1の期間を朝5時から午後7時までとし、明期の第2の期間を午後7時から午後9時までとし、暗期を午後9時から翌日の朝5時までとし、これを1サイクルとして、この24時間のサイクルを7日間繰り返した。
明期に第2の期間を設けず、明期を第1の期間のみとした以外は、実施例1と同様に、ホルスタインの子牛の飼育を行った。
Claims (4)
- 概日サイクルに基づいて、明期が暗期よりも長い光環境で管理する長日管理下で育成牛を飼育する方法であって、
前記明期は、前記育成牛に対して青色光を含む光を照射する第1の期間と、該第1の期間に続く、前記育成牛に対して青色光を含まず、アンバー色光を含む光を照射する第2の期間とを含むことを特徴とする育成牛の飼育方法。 - 前記概日サイクルが23時間〜25時間の範囲内であり、
前記明期が15時間〜17時間の範囲内であり、
前記暗期が9時間〜7時間の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の育成牛の飼育方法。 - 前記第2の期間が1時間〜3時間の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の育成牛の飼育方法。
- 前記青色光を含まず、アンバー色光を含む光は、ピーク波長が570nm〜610nmの範囲内の光を含み、かつ、波長が380nm〜500nmの範囲内の光を含まないことを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の育成牛の飼育方法。
