Abstract
Description
ここでいう固体電解質とは、電圧を印可することによりイオン(リチウムイオン)を透過することができる固体の物質をいう。本実施形態においては、この固体電解質は、比較的薄いプレート状とすることができる。
前述した実施形態及び実施例の説明は、実施形態、及び実施例1に係るリチウム空気電池の負極複合体構造を説明するための例示であって、特許請求の範囲に記載の発明を限定するものではない。また、本発明の各部構成は前述した実施形態に限らず、特許請求の範囲に記載の技術的範囲内で種々の変形が可能である。
まず、負極複合体の作製方法について説明する。ここでいう負極複合体とは、第一のフィルム5及び第二のフィルム9により囲まれた領域(負極集電体7、固体電解質2、リチウム4、非水系電解液、セパレーターを含む)を指す。
負極複合体の凹面を上側にして配置し、凹みに水系電解液を入れる。水系電解液は塩化リチウム等の潮解性物質を含むものとし、塩化リチウムであれば重量で負極複合体内の金属リチウムの15倍以上を含ませる。15倍は負極複合体内の金属リチウムが全て反応するために必要となるモル数で1.5倍の水を含む飽和水溶液を作るために必要な塩化リチウムの重量である。なお、この水系電解液はポリアクリルアミド樹脂等でゲル化しても良く、その際にはゲルに必要量の潮解性物質を混合する。
触媒としてMnO2を0.8gと、導電助剤としてケッチェンブラック(比表面積800m2/g)0.1gと、バインダー(結着剤)としてポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)0.1gを計り取り、エタノールを5mL加えてメノウ乳鉢で混練する。混練物を50×50mm程度のシートに圧延し、多孔質のカーボンペーパーなどの60×60mm以上の薄板に圧着する。
水系電解液を封入した第一のフィルム5の凹み部に蓋をするように、正極3を載せて空気電池とする。

Claims (5)
- 平面状の正極と、水系電解液と、固体電解質と、前記正極面上に前記系電解液を封止する第一のフィルムとを備え、
前記第一のフィルムは、前記水系電解液を収める凹み部と、該凹み部に設けた孔とを有し、
前記固体電解質が前記孔を塞いでいるリチウム空気電池。 - 前記第二のフィルムは凹み部を有し、該凹み部は、前記第一のフィルムの凸部を覆っている、請求項1に記載のリチウム空気電池。
- 負極と、前記負極に積層した金属リチウム、リチウムを主成分とする合金、またはリチウムを主成分とする化合物を、前記第一のフィルムと前記第二のフィルムとの間に備えた、請求項2に記載のリチウム空気電池。
- 前記正極は、カーボンクロス、カーボン不織布、カーボンペーパーのいずれかである請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム空気電池。
- 前記第一のフィルムと前記固体電解質とが、熱溶着フィルムによって接合されている請求項2乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム空気電池。
