電子タバコに使用するのに適したいくつかの材料によるニコチンの吸収を調べた。この調査の目的は、液体調合物からニコチンが時間と共に様々な物質に吸収されるかどうかを調べることであった。ニコチン3.7重量%、水9%およびグリセリン87.3%を含む5gのニコチン溶液を40mlの琥珀色の小瓶に充填した。ポリプロピレンおよびポリカーボネートの数片を溶液(対照試料を除く)に添加し、小瓶をスクリューキャップで密閉し、周囲温度またはオーブン中40℃で8週間保存した。1日目、次いで、1週間目、2週間目、4週間目および8週間目に試料を採取した。
プロトン化ニコチンの保存安定性への影響を、PPおよびPCを含むカトマイザー電子タバコ(「装置」)に充填された3種のニコチン溶液を調べることによって研究した。3種のニコチン溶液は、酸を含まないニコチン溶液および2種のプロトン化溶液であった。その内、1種はレブリン酸1.0モル当量でプロトン化し、もう1種は安息香酸1.0モル当量でプロトン化した。作製した各調合物は、ニコチン量を2.5%w/wとし、水9%および適量のグリセリンで溶液を100%とした。安定性プロトコルとして、各調合物を一連の電子タバコに充填すると共に、観察されたニコチン損失の原因を理解するために、多数の密閉ガラス瓶(対照試料として使用)にも充填した。
Claims (23)
- (i)容器、および
(ii)前記容器内に入れられたニコチン溶液を含み、前記容器中に存在するニコチンの少なくとも5重量%はプロトン化型であり、かつ前記ニコチン溶液と接触する前記容器の少なくとも一部はポリカーボネートまたはポリプロピレンから形成されている、容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。 - 前記ニコチン溶液と接触する前記容器の大部分はポリカーボネートまたはポリプロピレンから形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記ニコチン溶液と接触する前記容器の少なくとも一部はポリカーボネートから形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記ニコチン溶液と接触する前記容器の少なくとも一部はポリプロピレンから形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1、2または3に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記容器はカトマイザーであるか、またはカトマイザーの一部であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記溶液中に存在する前記ニコチンの少なくとも20重量%はプロトン化型であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記溶液中に存在する前記ニコチンの少なくとも40重量%はプロトン化型であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記ニコチンは酢酸、乳酸、ギ酸、クエン酸、安息香酸、ピルビン酸、レブリン酸、コハク酸、酒石酸、オレイン酸、ソルビン酸、プロピオン酸、フェニル酢酸、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される酸によってプロトン化されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記ニコチンはレブリン酸によりプロトン化されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 前記ニコチンは安息香酸によりプロトン化されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の容器に入れられたニコチン溶液。
- 電子蒸気供給システムであって、
前記電子蒸気供給システムの使用者が吸入するための液体を気化させる気化器、
前記気化器に電力を供給するための電池を含む電源、および
ニコチン溶液が含まれる容器を含み、前記容器は前記溶液中に存在するニコチンの少なくとも5重量%がプロトン化型であり、かつ前記ニコチン溶液と接触する前記容器の少なくとも一部はポリカーボネートまたはポリプロピレンから形成されている、電子蒸気供給システム。 - 前記容器または前記ニコチン溶液は請求項2乃至10のいずれか1項に定義されていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の電子蒸気供給システム。
- ニコチン溶液を安定化する方法であって、前記溶液中に存在する前記ニコチンの少なくとも5重量%がプロトン化型であるように溶液中に存在するニコチンをプロトン化する工程を含む、ニコチン溶液を安定化する方法。
- 前記ニコチン溶液はポリカーボネートまたはポリプロピレンと接触することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記ニコチン溶液はポリカーボネートまたはポリプロピレンと少なくとも7日間接触して保管されることを特徴とする請求項13または14に記載の方法。
- ニコチン溶液の安定化のためのニコチンのプロトン化の使用。
- 前記ニコチン溶液の保存安定性を向上するための、請求項16に記載の使用。
- 前記ニコチン溶液中に存在するニコチンの少なくとも5重量%がプロトン化型であることを特徴とする請求項16または17に記載の使用。
- 前記ニコチン溶液がポリカーボネートまたはポリプロピレンに対して安定化されていることを特徴とする請求項16乃至18のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 蒸発損失が低減されることを特徴とする請求項16乃至19のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 前記ニコチンは、酢酸、乳酸、ギ酸、クエン酸、安息香酸、ピルビン酸、レブリン酸、コハク酸、酒石酸、オレイン酸、ソルビン酸、プロピオン酸、フェニル酢酸、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される酸によりプロトン化されることを特徴とする請求項13乃至20のいずれか1項に記載の方法または使用。
- 前記ニコチンがレブリン酸によりプロトン化されることを特徴とする請求項13乃至21のいずれか1項に記載の方法または使用。
- 前記ニコチンが安息香酸によりプロトン化されることを特徴とする請求項13乃至22のいずれか1項に記載の方法または使用。
