Abstract
Description
一形態においては、本発明は、バルブ金属基材;アノード分極下において水溶液から酸素を放出させるのに好適な、基材に施されている第1の触媒成分;酸性雰囲気中で塩素酸塩溶液から二酸化塩素を生成させるのに好適な第2の触媒成分;を含み、第1の触媒成分と第2の触媒成分は互いから電気絶縁されている電極素子に関する。
この第2の触媒成分は、場合によってはより低い電位に分極して二酸化塩素の生成を増大させることができる。
一態様においては、電極素子の第1の触媒成分は貴金属酸化物を含む。
一態様においては、本発明による電極素子において、第2の触媒成分は、酸化ルテニウム、酸化イリジウム、酸化パラジウム、酸化ロジウム、及び酸化白金からなる群から選択される貴金属酸化物の混合物である。場合によっては、第2の触媒成分はまたバルブ金属酸化物も含む。
他の形態においては、本発明は上記記載の少なくとも1つの電極素子を含む電解槽に関する。
・少なくとも1つのカソード、及びアノードとして請求項1に記載の少なくとも1つの電極素子を含む電気化学セルを与え;
・かかるセルに、塩素酸塩溶液を含む水性供給材料を供給し;
・カソードとアノードの間に電流を流すことによって供給材料を電気分解して、それによって第1の触媒成分の表面上に酸素及び酸性雰囲気(acidity)を形成し、酸性雰囲気を第2の触媒層の表面の周囲に供給し;
・触媒層上で生成する二酸化塩素をストリッピング及び回収する;
工程を含む、触媒成分上で二酸化塩素を生成させる方法に関する。
下記の実施例は本発明の特定の態様を示すために含めるものであり、その実施可能性は特許請求されている値の範囲内で概ね立証された。以下の実施例において開示する組成及び技術は本発明の実施において良好に機能することが本発明者らによって発見された組成及び技術を表していることが当業者によって認識されるが、当業者は、本開示を考慮すれば、発明の範囲から逸脱することなく、開示されている具体的な態様において多くの変更を行って、なお同様又は類似の結果を得ることができることを認識する。

Claims (10)
- 電極素子であって:
バルブ金属基材;
アノード分極下において水溶液から酸素を放出させるのに好適な、前記基材に施されている第1の触媒成分;
酸性雰囲気中で塩素酸塩溶液から二酸化塩素を生成させるのに好適な第2の触媒成分;
を含み、
前記第1の触媒成分及び前記第2の触媒成分は互いから電気絶縁されている、前記電極素子。 - 前記第2の触媒成分がセラミック担体上に担持されている、請求項1に記載の電極素子。
- 前記第2の触媒成分が金属担体上に担持されている、請求項1に記載の電極素子。
- 前記第2の触媒成分が電源装置に接続されている、請求項3に記載の電極素子。
- 前記第1の触媒成分が貴金属酸化物を含む、請求項1に記載の電極素子。
- 前記第2の触媒成分が、酸化ルテニウム、酸化イリジウム、酸化パラジウム、酸化ロジウム、及び酸化白金からなる群から選択される貴金属酸化物の混合物であり、場合によってはバルブ金属酸化物を含む、請求項1に記載の電極素子。
- 前記第2の触媒成分が、シート、メッシュ、又は多孔質材料の形態である、請求項1に記載の電極素子。
- 請求項1に記載の少なくとも1つの電極素子を含む電解槽。
- 前記電極素子が、互いから絶縁されている、基材に施されているインターカレートされた第1の触媒成分及び第2の触媒成分の列によって構成されている、請求項8に記載の電解槽。
- 触媒成分上で二酸化塩素を生成させる方法であって:
・少なくとも1つのカソード、及びアノードとして請求項1に記載の少なくとも1つの電極素子を含む電気化学セルを与える工程;
・前記セルに、塩素酸塩溶液を含む水性供給材料を充填する工程;
・前記カソードと前記アノードの間に電流を流すことによって前記供給材料を電気分解して、それによって前記第1の触媒成分の表面上に酸素及び酸性雰囲気を形成し、それによって酸性雰囲気を前記第2の触媒層の表面に密に接触させる工程;
・触媒層上で生成する二酸化塩素をストリッピング及び回収する工程;
を含む、前記方法。
