Abstract
Description
第1の端面、第2の端面及び軸方向チャネルを備えた多孔性セラミックハニカム体の、上記第1の端面から上記第2の端面まで延在する外周に配置された外皮を乾燥させるための方法において、
第1のガスを第1の速度で上記ハニカム体に向かって流すことを含む、第1組の条件下で、上記外皮を乾燥させるステップであって、上記第1の流動ガスの少なくとも一部は、上記ハニカム体の上記外周に配置された上記外皮の外周の周りを略均一に通過して、上記外皮を第1の乾燥度まで均一に乾燥させ、部分的に乾燥した外皮を形成する、ステップ;
上記部分的に乾燥した外皮を、上記第1組の条件とは異なる第2組の条件下で、第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるステップ
を含む、方法。
上記外皮は、平均粒径(D50)10nm〜700nmの無機バインダを含む、実施形態1に記載の方法。
上記第2組の条件は、上記外皮を上記第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるために、第2のガスを、上記第1の速度を超える第2の速度で、上記ハニカム体に対して流すことを含む、実施形態1又は2に記載の方法。
上記第1のガス及び上記第2のガスは、空気である、実施形態1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記外皮が上記第1組の条件下で接触する大気の相対湿度は、約10%〜約60%相対湿度であり、
上記外皮が上記第1組の条件下で接触する上記大気の温度は、約40℃〜約60℃であり、
上記第1のガスは、上記外皮の上記外周を通過して、約2.0m/秒超で流れる、実施形態1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記第2組の条件は、上記外皮が接触する大気の温度を約60℃〜約150℃に制御することを含む、実施形態1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記第2組の条件は、上記外皮を上記第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるために:
上記第1の速度を超える第2の速度で第2のガスを上記ハニカム体に向かって流すこと;
マイクロ波照射;及び
赤外線照射
のうちの少なくとも1つに上記外皮を供することを更に含む、実施形態1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記第1組の条件は、上記外皮を上記第1の乾燥度まで乾燥させるために:
マイクロ波照射;
高周波;及び
赤外線照射
のうちの少なくとも1つに上記外皮を供することを更に含む、実施形態1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記第1の乾燥度は、約20%乾燥度以上かつ上記第2の乾燥度未満であり、
上記第2の乾燥度は、約80%乾燥度以上である、実施形態1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記外皮を、上記第1組の条件下で、約120分未満乾燥させるステップ;及び
上記外皮を、上記第2組の条件下で、約120分未満乾燥させるステップ
を更に含む、実施形態1〜9のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記外皮を、上記第1組の条件下で、約30分未満乾燥させるステップ;及び
上記外皮を、上記第2組の条件下で、約30分未満乾燥させるステップ
を更に含む、実施形態1〜10のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
第1の端面、第2の端面及び軸方向チャネルを備えた多孔性セラミックハニカム体の、上記第1の端面から上記第2の端面まで延在する外周に配置された、平均粒径(D50)10nm〜700nmの無機バインダを含む外皮を、乾燥させるためのシステムにおいて、
上記軸方向チャネル及び上記外周が略垂直となるように、上記ハニカム体を上記第1の端面上で支持するよう構成された、ハニカム支持体;
送風機であって、第1の流動ガスの一部が、上記ハニカム体の上記外周に配置された上記外皮の外周の周りを略均一に通過して、上記外皮を第1の乾燥度まで均一に乾燥させ、部分的に乾燥した外皮を形成するように、上記第1のガスを第1の速度で上記ハニカム体に向かって垂直に流し、また上記外皮を第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるために、第2のガスを、上記第1の速度を超える第2の速度で、上記ハニカム体に対して垂直に流すよう、構成された送風機(上記第1のガス及び上記第2のガスは空気である);
上記第1のガスを第1の温度まで、及び上記第2のガスを上記第1の温度より高い第2の温度まで加熱するよう構成されたヒータ;並びに
上記送風機を、第1のガスを第1の期間だけ流し、また上記第2のガスを第2の期間だけ流すように制御するよう構成されたコントローラ
を備える、システム。
上記第1のガスを第1の相対湿度まで加湿し、また上記第2のガスを、上記第1の相対湿度未満の第2の相対湿度まで加湿するよう構成された加湿器を更に備える、実施形態12に記載のシステム。
上記第1の相対湿度は、約10%〜約60%相対湿度である、実施形態12又は13に記載のシステム。
上記第2の期間中、上記外皮をマイクロ波照射に供するよう構成されたマイクロ波生成器;及び
上記第2の期間中、上記外皮を赤外線照射に供するよう構成された赤外線生成器
のうちの少なくとも1つを更に備える、実施形態12〜14のいずれか1つに記載のシステム。
上記第1の温度は約40℃〜約60℃であり、
上記第2の温度は約60℃〜約150℃である、実施形態12〜15のいずれか1つに記載のシステム。
上記第1の速度は、約3m/秒超である、実施形態12〜16のいずれか1つに記載のシステム。
上記第1の乾燥度は、約20%乾燥度以上かつ上記第2の乾燥度未満であり、
上記第2の乾燥度は、約80%乾燥度以上である、実施形態12〜17のいずれか1つに記載のシステム。
上記第1の期間は、約120分未満であり、
上記第2の期間は、約120分未満である、実施形態12〜18のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
上記第1の期間は、約30分未満であり、
上記第2の期間は、約30分未満である、実施形態12〜18のいずれか1つに記載の方法。

Claims (5)
- 第1の端面、第2の端面及び軸方向チャネルを備えた多孔性セラミックハニカム体の、前記第1の端面から前記第2の端面まで延在する外周に配置された外皮を乾燥させるための方法において、
第1のガスを第1の速度で前記ハニカム体に向かって流すことを含む、第1組の条件下で、前記外皮を乾燥させるステップであって、前記第1の流動ガスの少なくとも一部は、前記ハニカム体の前記外周に配置された前記外皮の外周の周りを略均一に通過して、前記外皮を第1の乾燥度まで均一に乾燥させ、部分的に乾燥した外皮を形成する、ステップ;
前記部分的に乾燥した外皮を、前記第1組の条件とは異なる第2組の条件下で、第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるステップ
を含む、方法。 - 前記外皮は、平均粒径(D50)10nm〜700nmの無機バインダを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2組の条件は、前記外皮を前記第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるために、第2のガスを、前記第1の速度を超える第2の速度で、前記ハニカム体に対して流すことを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記外皮が前記第1組の条件下で接触する大気の相対湿度は、約10%〜約60%相対湿度であり、
前記外皮が前記第1組の条件下で接触する前記大気の温度は、約40℃〜約60℃であり、
前記第1のガスは、前記外皮の前記外周を通過して、約2.0m/秒超で流れる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 第1の端面、第2の端面及び軸方向チャネルを備えた多孔性セラミックハニカム体の、前記第1の端面から前記第2の端面まで延在する外周に配置された、平均粒径(D50)10nm〜700nmの無機バインダを含む外皮を、乾燥させるためのシステムにおいて、
前記軸方向チャネル及び前記外周が略垂直となるように、前記ハニカム体を前記第1の端面上で支持するよう構成された、ハニカム支持体;
送風機であって、空気である第1のガスの一部が、前記ハニカム体の前記外周に配置された前記外皮の外周の周りを略均一に通過して、前記外皮を第1の乾燥度まで均一に乾燥させ、部分的に乾燥した外皮を形成するように、前記第1のガスを第1の速度で前記ハニカム体に向かって垂直に流し、また前記外皮を第2の乾燥度まで乾燥させるために、空気である第2のガスを、前記第1の速度を超える第2の速度で、前記ハニカム体に対して垂直に流すよう、構成された送風機;
前記第1のガスを第1の温度まで、及び前記第2のガスを前記第1の温度より高い第2の温度まで加熱するよう構成されたヒータ;並びに
前記送風機を、第1のガスを第1の期間だけ流し、また前記第2のガスを第2の期間だけ流すように制御するよう構成されたコントローラ
を備える、システム。
