本開示は、以下の態様を含む。
[1]
樹脂コーティングされた裏材に、パターン化研磨層を製造するための方法であって、
複数の空洞を備えた分配表面を有する製造ツールを準備する工程であって、各空洞が、前記分配表面に対して垂直な空洞長手方向軸と、前記空洞長手方向軸に沿った深さDとを有する、工程と、
粒子長手方向軸に沿った長さLが、前記粒子長手方向軸に垂直な横断軸に沿った幅Wよりも長い、細長い研磨粒子を選択する工程であって、前記複数の空洞の前記深さDが0.5L〜2Lである、工程と、
前記複数の空洞の数よりも多い前記細長い研磨粒子が提供されるように、過剰量の前記細長い研磨粒子を前記分配表面に供給する工程と、
前記分配表面の前記複数の空洞の大半を、前記粒子長手方向軸が前記空洞長手方向に平行になるように個々の空洞に配置された細長い研磨粒子で充填する工程と、
前記充填する工程の後に、空洞内に配置されていない、前記過剰量の細長い研磨粒子の残りの部分を、前記分配表面から除去する工程と、
前記樹脂層が前記分配表面に面するように、前記樹脂コーティングされた裏材を前記分配表面と位置合わせする工程と、
前記複数の空洞内の前記細長い研磨粒子を、前記樹脂コーティングされた裏材に移動させ、前記細長い研磨粒子を前記樹脂層に付着させる工程と、
前記製造ツールを除去して、前記樹脂コーティングされた裏材上の前記パターン化研磨層を露出させる工程と、
を含む、方法。

前記深さDが1.1L〜1.5Lであり、前記複数の空洞内に配置された前記細長い研磨粒子が、前記分配表面の下で前記製造ツール内に収容される、[1]に記載の方法。
[3]
前記供給する工程の後、前記細長い研磨粒子を前記複数の空洞内へと導くために、充填支援部材により、前記細長い研磨粒子を前記分配表面上で動かす工程を含む、[1]又は[2]に記載の方法。
[4]
前記充填する工程中に重力を利用して前記細長い研磨粒子を前記複数の空洞に滑り込ませることが可能なように前記分配表面が配置され、前記分配表面が前記移動させる工程中に反転されて、重力により前記細長い研磨粒子を前記複数の空洞から滑り出させることが可能になる、[1]〜[3]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。

前記移動させる工程が、前記細長い研磨粒子を接触部材で押し付けて、前記空洞長手方向軸に沿って前記細長い研磨粒子を外方向に動かす工程を含む、[1]〜[4]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
[6]
前記移動させる工程が、空気を前記複数の空洞内に吹き付けて、前記空洞長手方向軸に沿って前記細長い研磨粒子を外方向に動かす工程を含む、[1]〜[5]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
[7]
前記移動させる工程が、前記製造ツールを振動させる工程を含む、[1]〜[6]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
[8]
前記分配表面から前記空洞長手方向軸に沿って動くときに、前記複数の空洞が内向きにテーパー形状である、[1]〜[7]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
[9]
前記複数の空洞が、前記空洞長手方向軸を包囲する空洞外周を有し、前記細長い研磨粒子が、前記粒子長手方向軸を包囲する研磨粒子外周を有し、前記空洞外周の形状が、前記研磨粒子外周の形状に一致する、[1]〜[8]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
[10]
前記細長い研磨粒子が正三角形を含み、前記粒子長手方向軸に沿った前記細長い研磨粒子の幅が、名目上同じである、[1]〜[9]のいずれか一項に記載の方法。

Claims (2)

  1. 樹脂コーティングされた裏材に、パターン化研磨層を製造するための方法であって、
    複数の空洞を備えた分配表面を有する製造ツールを準備する工程であって、各空洞が、前記分配表面に対して垂直な空洞長手方向軸と、前記空洞長手方向軸に沿った深さDとを有する、工程と、
    粒子長手方向軸に沿った長さLが、前記粒子長手方向軸に垂直な横断軸に沿った幅Wよりも長い、細長い研磨粒子を選択する工程であって、前記複数の空洞の前記深さDが0.5L〜2Lである、工程と、
    前記複数の空洞の数よりも多い前記細長い研磨粒子が提供されるように、過剰量の前記細長い研磨粒子を前記分配表面に供給する工程と、
    前記分配表面の前記複数の空洞の大半を、前記粒子長手方向軸が前記空洞長手方向に平行になるように個々の空洞に配置された細長い研磨粒子で充填する工程と、
    前記充填する工程の後に、空洞内に配置されていない、前記過剰量の細長い研磨粒子の残りの部分を、前記分配表面から除去する工程と、
    前記樹脂層が前記分配表面に面するように、前記樹脂コーティングされた裏材を前記分配表面と位置合わせする工程と、
    前記複数の空洞内の前記細長い研磨粒子を、前記樹脂コーティングされた裏材に移動させ、前記細長い研磨粒子を前記樹脂層に付着させる工程と、
    前記製造ツールを除去して、前記樹脂コーティングされた裏材上の前記パターン化研磨層を露出させる工程と、
    を含む、方法。
  2. 前記深さDが1.1L〜1.5Lであり、前記複数の空洞内に配置された前記細長い研磨粒子が、前記分配表面の下で前記製造ツール内に収容される、請求項1に記載の方法。
