Abstract

本願は、参照によってその全体が本明細書に組み込まれている、2011年3月4日に出願した米国特許出願第13/040,458号(弁理士整理番号第809125号)、名称「VIRTUAL AGGREGATION OF FRAGMENTED WIRELESS SPECTRUM」の一部継続出願である。本願は、いずれもが参照によってその全体が本明細書に組み込まれている、2011年3月4日に出願した米国特許出願第13/040,458号(弁理士整理番号第809125号)、名称「VIRTUAL AGGREGATION OF FRAGMENTED WIRELESS SPECTRUM」の一部継続出願である、2012年4月17日に出願した米国特許出願第13/449,170号(弁理士整理番号第809615号)、名称「SYSTEM AND METHOD PROVIDING RESILIENT DATA TRANSMISSION VIA SPECTRAL FRAGMENTS」の一部継続出願でもある。
次の議論において、伝送機構が、4つの搬送波S0…S3を利用すると仮定する(異なる個数の搬送波を使用することができるが)。さらに、搬送波は、任意の信号干渉が潜在的にスライスのサブセットだけ(すべてではなく)に影響するように、周波数領域で分離される(隣接しない)と仮定する。最後に、受信器が信号の状況に関するフィードバックを送信器に提供するために、制御チャネルが使用可能である(帯域内または帯域外のいずれか)と仮定する。これらの仮定は、さまざまな図面に関して本明細書で議論されるさまざまな他の実施形態に帰するものとすることもできる。
本明細書で説明されるさまざまな技法および実施形態を、無線通信チャネル内の強いラジオ周波数(RF)干渉の存在下でペイロード・データの「ヒットレス」配信を提供するディスジョイント複製スペクトル拡散(DRSS)実施形態を提供するように適合させることができる。たとえば、無線通信の伝統的な技法は、通信チャネルの搬送波対雑音(C/N)比を考慮して、Quasi Error Free(QEF)データを配信するように設計された誤り保護符号レートを有する単一搬送波RF信号の使用を伴う。増やされた干渉の存在下では、誤り保護符号レートは、受信器で信号の劣化の影響を打ち消すのを助けるために、下げられる(より強くされる)。この手法に関する問題は、受信される信号の帯域内であり、QEFしきい値未満のC/N比をもたらす、十分に強い干渉が、符号レートがどれほど強いのかにかかわりなく、データの完全な消失をもたらし得ることである。これは、(他の理由の中でも)LNA、ミキサ、およびアナログ−ディジタル変換器(ADC)を使用するサンプリング回路などのコンポーネントを含む受信器のフロント・エンドRFダウンコンバージョン回路網の完全な飽和に起因する可能性がある。したがって、単一搬送波システムに基づく最良の誤り符号化技法であっても、帯域内の、QEF C/Nしきい値だけ搬送波電力より強い干渉と戦うことはできない。
ストリームを複数のストリーム・セグメントにセグメント化し、これらのストリーム・セグメントをそれぞれのスペクトル部分を介して送信することによって、悪意のあるスイーパ、漏れのある機器、および類似物などからの干渉側に対する弾力性を改善することができる。
上で説明される仮想スペクトル・アグリゲーション(VSA)技法の使用は、それぞれを潜在的に周波数領域で散在させることのできる複数の搬送波を介してペイロードを送信することを可能にする。各搬送波を、異なる鍵を用いて暗号化することができ、各搬送波に関連する帯域幅を、構成搬送波のアグリゲート帯域幅がペイロードのトランスポートに必要な所望の帯域幅と等しくなるように、ランダムに割り当てることもできる。
Claims (8)
- データ・ストリームを複数の出力サブストリームに分割するスプリッタであって、前記出力サブストリームのそれぞれは、第1の搬送波信号のそれぞれのスペクトル断片に関連付けられ、かつ前記それぞれのスペクトル断片の帯域幅と互換のデータ・レートを有し、前記それぞれのスペクトル断片は、前記出力サブストリームと関連して使用されるように適合された複数のスペクトル断片のうちの1つであり、
前記複数のスペクトル断片の前記それぞれのスペクトル断片は、前記複数のスペクトル断片に関して不連続なスペクトル・ブロックであり、少なくとも前記複数のスペクトル断片に含まれない割り振られたスペクトル断片によって、前記複数のスペクトル断片の他のスペクトル断片から分離される、スプリッタと、
複数の変調器であって、各変調器は、前記第1の搬送波信号の前記それぞれのスペクトル断片を介する送信のために適合された変調された信号を提供するためにそれぞれのサブストリームを変調するように構成され、前記変調器のうちの少なくともいくつかは、それぞれのサブストリームを暗号化するように構成される、複数の変調器と、
前記変調された信号を前記第1の搬送波信号のそれぞれのスペクトル断片にアップコンバートする少なくとも1つのアップコンバータとを含み、
前記アップコンバートされた変調された信号内に含まれる前記サブストリームは、前記データ・ストリームを回復するために受信器で復調され、組み合わされるように適合される装置。 - 各暗号化された出力サブストリームは、それぞれの暗号化鍵に関連付けられる、請求項1に記載の装置。
