Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to a light emitting device.
Light-emitting devices using semiconductor light-emitting elements such as LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are required to be highly reliable by downsizing, increasing the efficiency of light extraction, and increasing output in the market of backlights, lighting, and in-vehicle lights. It is getting stronger and stronger. In particular, side-view type light emitting devices for backlights are increasingly required to have high efficiency and high output while being reduced in size and thickness.
As a side view type light emitting device, there is a device in which a light emitting element is mounted in a concave portion of a resin package, and light emitted from an opening of the concave portion of the resin package is used as illumination light. In the light emitting device having such a configuration, if the height of the opening of the concave portion of the resin package is lowered in order to reduce the thickness, the distance between the side surface of the light emitting element and the inner surface of the concave portion of the resin package is shortened. Light is irradiated with high intensity on the inner surface of the substrate. For this reason, the resin package is deteriorated by light from the light emitting element, and discoloration and cracks are likely to occur. As a result, the reliability including the life of the light emitting device is lowered.
Further, when solder mounting is performed using the lower surface side of the resin package as the mounting surface, internal stress is generated in the resin on the side opposite to the mounting surface, so that cracks are likely to occur on the upper surface side of the resin package by use after mounting.
For example,
However, as in the light emitting device described in

FIG. 4A is a schematic plan view showing a configuration of a light emitting element in the light emitting device according to the first embodiment. 4B is a schematic cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the light-emitting element in the light-emitting device according to the first embodiment, and is a cross-sectional view taken along the line IVB-IVB in FIG. 4A. FIG. 4C is a diagram for explaining the shape of the light emitting element in the light emitting device according to the first embodiment in plan view.

導電性金属酸化物としては、Zn(亜鉛)、In(インジウム)、Sn(スズ)、Ga(ガリウム)及びTi(チタン)からなる群から選択された少なくとも1種の元素を含む酸化物が挙げられる。具体的には、ZnO、AZO(AlドープZnO)、IZO(InドープZnO)、GZO(GaドープZnO)、In2O3、ITO(SnドープIn2O3)、IFO(FドープIn2O3)、SnO2、ATO(SbドープSnO2)、FTO(FドープSnO2)、CTO(CdドープSnO2)、TiO2などの導電性金属酸化物がある。

[Operation of light emitting device]
Next, the operation of the
For convenience of explanation, it is assumed that the
When the
More specifically, the light emitted from the side surface of the
Moreover, a part of light irradiated to the
The
In FIG. 5 showing the arrangement in a front view, the
The irradiation intensity of light emitted from the side surface corresponding to the
Further, the light emitted from the side surface corresponding to the
Furthermore, as the distance between the side surface of the light-emitting
Thus, since the irradiation intensity of the light irradiated to the
In addition, for the

Further, it is preferable that one of the pair of pad electrodes of the
The pair of pad electrodes is not limited to be provided on a straight line parallel to the longitudinal direction of the outer shape, for example, as in the
[Conditions for external shape of light-emitting element]
Here, the light-emitting

All of the light-emitting
Further, in the outer shape line indicating the outer shape of the
In the
Further, the base CA of the triangle faces the lower side SP in parallel. For this reason, the part close to the lower side SP is the base CA. Accordingly, in this case, the base CA is the second portion W2.
In the
Further, the lower base DA of the trapezoid faces the lower side SP in parallel. For this reason, the part close to the lower side SP is the lower base DA. Therefore, in this case, the lower base DA is the second portion W2.
Further, as in the
It should be noted that the external line facing the lower side SP is slightly deviated from the parallel to the lower side SP when the

Second Embodiment
Next, a light emitting device according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 11 is a schematic front view showing the configuration of the light emitting device according to the second embodiment.
In FIG. 11, the external lead portion and the sealing resin are not shown.
The
Further, the
Further, the two

The
<Third Embodiment>
Next, a light emitting device according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 12 is a schematic front view showing the configuration of the light emitting device according to the third embodiment.
In FIG. 12, the external lead portion and the sealing resin are not shown.
In the
Each
The
In addition, since the
In addition, like the
In addition, the plurality of
The

<応用例>
<Application example>
[Configuration of lighting device]
Next, as an application example of the light emitting device according to each embodiment, a lighting device using these light emitting devices will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 13 is a schematic cross-sectional view illustrating a configuration of an illumination device using the light emitting device according to the first embodiment.

The
The
The
