Abstract
Description
本出願は、2009年6月22日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/219120号の優先権を主張する2009年7月7日に出願された米国特許出願第12/498586号の一部継続出願である、2011年6月21日に出願された米国特許仮出願第13/165673号の一部継続出願であり、前記特許出願の各々は参照されることによりその全体が本出願に組み込まれる。
本発明の範囲を限定することを意図せずに、以下の実施例は、本発明の様々な実施形態をどのように作れるか又は使用できるかを例示する。
図1と同様の封止デバイスを、下記の構成要素及び組立工程を用いて製造した。

図6と同様の封止デバイスを、下記の構成要素及び組立工程を用いて製造した。
図8と同様のハンドル組立体を、以下の構成要素及び組立工程を用いて製造した。
ある長さの直径0.23mmのニチノールワイヤ(Fort Wayne Metals、インディアナ州フォートウェイン)を入手した。ワイヤの明確な長さは測定しなかったが、ワイヤは、次の段落において説明する送り孔を通過して二重にするのに十分な長さがあればよい。電解研磨をしたワイヤを入手した。

直交方向の基材引張り強さ 1433psi

以下のことを例外として、実施例1と同じように製品を構成した。
図21に示す追加の製品32を、実施例5の2つの中間的(即ち、粉末塗装していない)製品(1つは内側、1つは外側)を用いて構成した。中間製品は反対方向に巻いた。更に、内側中間製品は、内側中間製品の目孔が外側中間製品の目孔の中に嵌合するように製造した。FEP塗装の前に、内側中間製品と外側中間製品を、下記の方法を用いて組み重ねた。
以下の例外を除いて、実施例1において説明したと同様の製品を作成した。実施例1において前に説明したように図22Bに示す同様のジグ50を入手した。花弁体ジグ52及び括れ部ジグ54は、図22Bに示すように位置決めた。ワイヤ巻付工程は、図22Bのワイヤ経路56に示す通りであり、ワイヤは、アンカー点57から始まり、目孔ピン孔59に挿入される目孔ピン59(図示せず)において終了する。ワイヤは、デバイスの巻きの開始点及びデバイスの巻きの終了点において目孔ピンの周りに720度巻かれる。この実施例の完全に伸張した最終製品51を22Aに示す。
追加の製品(図23A及び23B)は、実施例7の2つの中間(即ち、粉末塗装していない)製品(1つは内側中間製品、1つは外側中間製品)を用いて構成され、中間製品は反対方向に巻かれた。更に、内側中間製品は、内側中間製品の目孔が外側中間製品の目孔の中に嵌合するように製造された。
以下の実施形態は、カバーを付ける前の実施例7に説明したデバイス(以後、実施例7のフレームと呼ぶ)の熱固定を教示する。
以下の実施形態は、実施例10において説明するデバイス用のアンカー手段を教示する。
Claims (24)
- 医療デバイスであって、
該医療デバイスのフレームを形成するように配列された複数の細長い部材であって、前記フレームが該デバイスの長手方向の第1端付近の近位目孔と、該デバイスの長手方向の第2端付近の遠位目孔と、近位球状体と、遠位球状体とを含み、前記近位球状体及び前記遠位球状体が、各々、前記第1目孔と前記第2目孔との間に配置され、かつ前記遠位球状体が複数の花弁体を含む、複数の細長い部材と、
該医療デバイスの前記フレームの少なくとも一部を被覆する封止部材と、
前記遠位球状体の前記花弁体の少なくとも1つに取り付けられた少なくとも1つのアンカーであって、該少なくとも1つのアンカーが第1脚と第2脚とを含み、前記第1脚の少なくとも一部が前記第2脚の一部に対して実質的に平行に方向付けられており、かつ前記第1脚と前記第2脚が前記少なくとも1つのアンカーのループ状端部において集束する、アンカーと、
を備える医療デバイス。 - 前記複数の花弁体の各花弁体が少なくとも1つのアンカーを含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記複数の花弁体の少なくとも1つの花弁体が少なくとも2つのアンカーを備える、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記複数の花弁体の少なくとも1つの花弁体がアンカーを含まない、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記複数の花弁体の各花弁体が少なくとも1つの花弁体が少なくとも1つのアンカーを含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのアンカーが前記封止部材によって被覆される、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記封止部材がポリテトラフルオロエチレンを含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのアンカーが前記封止部材で被覆されない、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのアンカーが埋植部位において身体組織と非外傷性接触をするように作られている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記遠位目孔が前記遠位球状体から延びる、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記遠位球状体の少なくとも一部が前記遠位目孔に対して凹状である、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 該医療デバイスが左心耳を閉鎖するように作られている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1脚及び前記第2脚の各々が第1部分及び第2部分を備える、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1脚の前記第1部分と前記第2脚の前記第1部分が実質的に同じ長さを有し、かつ実質的に互いに平行である、請求項13に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1脚及び第2脚の前記第2部分がそれぞれの前記第1部分から側方へ発散し、前記ループ状端部で集束して、前記少なくとも1つのアンカーの開口を形成する、請求項14に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記開口が概ね楕円形状を有する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記開口が概ね長方形状を有する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記開口が概ね円形状を有する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのアンカーがホッケースティック形態を有し、かつ前記第1脚及び第2脚の前記第1部分がホッケースティックの軸部に対応し、前記第1脚及び第2脚の前記第2部分が前記ホッケースティックの刃に対応する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1脚の前記第1部分と前記第1脚の前記第2部分が約45度から約135度の範囲の角度を形成する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1脚の前記第1部分と前記第1脚の前記第2部分が約75度から約155度の範囲の角度を形成する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1脚の前記第1部分と前記第1脚の前記第2部分が約90度の角度を形成する、請求項15に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記第1と第2脚の少なくとも一部が互いに平行ではない、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 患者体内の送達部位へ医療デバイスを送達する方法であって、
送達カテーテルを用意して、前記送達カテーテルの中へ前記医療デバイスを装填するステップと、
前記送達カテーテルを前記送達部位まで前進させるステップと、
前記送達カテーテルから前記医療デバイスを展開するステップと、
を含み、
前記医療デバイスが、前記医療デバイスのフレームを形成するように配列された複数の細長い部材を備え、前記フレームが前記デバイスの長手方向の第1端付近の近位目孔と、前記デバイスの長手方向の第2端付近の遠位目孔と、近位球状体と、遠位球状体とを含み、前記近位球状体及び前記遠位球状体が、各々、前記第1目孔と前記第2目孔との間に配置され、
前記遠位球状体が複数の花弁体と、前記医療デバイスの前記フレームの少なくとも一部を被覆する封止部材と、前記遠位球状体の前記花弁体の少なくとも1つに取り付けられた少なくとも1つのアンカーとを含み、前記少なくとも1つのアンカーが第1脚と第2脚とを含み、前記第1脚の少なくとも一部が前記第2脚の一部に実質的に平行に方向付けられており、かつ前記第1脚と前記第2脚が前記少なくとも1つのアンカーのループ状端部で集束する、方法。
