Description
Claims (10)
- 多導体ケーブルであって、
本体部分と、
前記本体部分に隣接したブレイクアウト部分と、
前記本体部分の中の外側ジャケットと、
前記本体部分の中の前記外側ジャケットの内部に伸び、また前記ブレイクアウト部分の中で前記外側ジャケットの外側に伸びる複数の導体と、
前記外側ジャケットに取り付けられ、また前記ブレイクアウト部分の中の前記複数の導体を取り囲むブレイクアウト・ブーツと、
前記ブレイクアウト・ブーツの内部に配置される少なくとも1つの導体スペーサであって、前記少なくとも1つの導体スペーサは前記複数の導体に係合し、また前記ブレイクアウト部分において互いに間隔の開けられた関係に前記複数の導体をとどめておくように配列される、少なくとも1つの導体スペーサと、
前記複数の導体との間の空間の中の前記ブレイクアウト・ブーツの中に配置されるシーリング材料と、
を備える、ケーブル。 - 前記少なくとも1つの導体スペーサは、前記複数の導体に係合し、また前記複数の導体をとどめておくように構成された複数の開口部を備える、請求項1に記載のケーブル。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導体スペーサは、前記シーリング材料が、前記少なくとも1つの導体スペーサを通して流れることを可能にするように構成された複数の開口部を備える、請求項1に記載のケーブル。
- 前記複数の導体は、前記外側ジャケットの中心軸に実質的に沿って配置される中心導体と、前記中心導体の周囲に配置される複数の外側導体と、
を備えており、また、
前記少なくとも1つの導体スペーサは、
前記中心導体に係合し、また前記中心導体をとどめておくように構成された中央開口部を画成する中央部分と、
前記中央部分から半径方向に伸び、また前記複数の外側導体に係合し、また前記複数の外側導体をとどめておくように構成された複数の外側開口部を画成する複数のアーム部材と、
を備える、請求項1に記載のケーブル。 - 前記少なくとも1つの導体スペーサは、本体部材を備えている前記複数の導体スペーサのうちの各導体スペーサが、前記複数の導体のうちのそれぞれの導体を受け入れ、またそれぞれの導体に係合するように構成された中央開口部を含んでいる、導体スペーサの折り重ね可能なリンク機構を形成するように互いに接続された複数の導体スペーサを備える、請求項1に記載のケーブル。
- 前記複数の導体スペーサのうちの隣接する導体スペーサは、かみ合うピボット部材によって形成される旋回するジョイントで接続される、請求項5に記載のケーブル。
- 前記複数の導体スペーサのうちの隣接する導体スペーサは、かみ合う柔軟な部材によって形成される柔軟なジョイントで接続される、請求項5に記載のケーブル。
- 前記シーリング材料は、ウレタン材料である、請求項1に記載のケーブル。
- 前記シーリング材料は、前記導体スペーサと前記外側ジャケットの端部との間に、また前記導体スペーサと前記ブレイクアウト・ブーツの外側端部との間に、配置される、請求項1に記載のケーブル。
- 多導体ケーブルをアセンブルする方法であって、
本体部分と、
前記本体部分に隣接したブレイクアウト部分と、
前記本体部分の中の外側ジャケットと、
前記本体部分の中の前記外側ジャケットの内部に伸び、また前記ブレイクアウト部分の中で前記外側ジャケットの外側に伸びる複数の導体と、
を備えている多導体ケーブルを提供するステップと、
前記複数の導体に係合し、また互いに間隔の開けられた関係に前記複数の導体をとどめておくように、前記ブレイクアウト部分の内部に少なくとも1つの導体スペーサを配列するステップと、
ブレイクアウト・ブーツを前記外側ジャケットに取り付け、前記ブレイクアウト部分において前記複数の導体の周囲に前記ブレイクアウト・ブーツを配列するステップと、
前記複数の導体の間の空間の中の前記ブレイクアウト・ブーツの中にシーリング材料を配置するステップと、
を含む、方法。
