Abstract
Description
本出願は、2013年6月19日付けで出願された米国出願第61/837,047号及び2014年2月5日付けで出願された米国出願第61/936,239号の利益に関しこれを主張する。
本開示は、配送網内のアイテムに関するリアルタイム情報の提供に関する。
アイテムは、受領され、追跡され、配送網を用いて配送される。アイテムが配達網などの配送網を移動しているときは、各アイテムのステータスはどんな時にも利用できない。よって、例えば、米国郵政公社などの配送網の作業者は、アイテムが配送網中を移動する際のリアルタイム追跡や完全なアイテム可視性の提供を望むであろう。リアルタイムでアイテムのステータスを追跡できることにより、配送網は、作業、効率、及び配送の分析において改善を実現し、改善された新たな製品及びサービスを配送網の利用者に提供することができる。

Claims (20)
- 中央プロセッサと通信するデータリポジトリであって、前記中央プロセッサは該データリポジトリへの入出力を制御する前記データリポジトリと、
前記データリポジトリと通信する複数のアイテム処理装置であって、前記各アイテム処理装置が、
前記アイテム処理装置で処理されているアイテム上のコンピュータ読取り可能コードをスキャンしてスキャンデータを生成するよう構成されたスキャナ、及び
前記データリポジトリの前記中央プロセッサと通信し、リアルタイムで前記データリポジトリに記憶するために前記スキャンデータを前記中央プロセッサに与えるよう構成された通信モジュール、を含む前記複数のアイテム処理装置と、
前記中央プロセッサと通信する少なくとも1つのモジュールであって、リアルタイムで前記データリポジトリから前記スキャンデータを要求し、受信し、操作し、及び前記操作したスキャンデータに基づいてリアルタイムで情報を生成するよう構成された前記少なくとも1つのモジュールと、
前記少なくとも1つのモジュールと通信するインタフェースであって、前記生成した情報にリアルタイムでアクセスするよう構成された前記インタフェースと、
を備えたアイテムのリアルタイム追跡システム。 - 前記スキャンデータは、前記コンピュータ読取り可能コードを示す情報と前記スキャナを示す情報とを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記スキャナを示す前記情報は、スキャナタイプ、スキャナ位置、及びスキャン時間を含む、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモジュールは、前記受信したスキャンデータに基づいて施設でのアイテムのリアルタイム又は略リアルタイムのインベントリを生成するよう構成されたインベントリモジュールを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモジュールは、前記受信したスキャンデータに基づいて施設でのアイテムの予想されるインベントリを生成するよう構成された予測仕事量モジュールを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記データリポジトリは、複数の配送網システムと通信し、前記複数の配送網システムは、網情報を前記データリポジトリに提供するよう構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の配送網システムは、輸送リソース利用情報を提供するよう構成された輸送情報システムを含む、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモジュールは、前記受信したスキャンデータ及び前記輸送リソース利用情報に基づいて施設でのアイテムの予想されるインベントリを生成するよう構成された予測仕事量モジュールを含む、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の配送網システムは、アイテム処理設備情報を提供するよう構成されたアイテム処理設備システムを含む、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモジュールは、前記受信したスキャンデータ及び前記アイテム処理設備情報に基づいて施設でのアイテムの予想されるインベントリを生成するよう構成された予測仕事量モジュールを含む、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのモジュールは、前記スキャンデータに基づいてサービス品質を分析するよう構成された品質測定モジュールである、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記操作したスキャンデータに基づいて前記スキャンデータ又は前記生成した情報へのアクセスを利用者に提供するよう構成されたアクセスポータルをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記アクセスポータルは、特定の利用者に関連付けられたアイテムからのスキャンデータに選択的にアクセス可能にするよう構成されている、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のアイテム上のコンピュータ読取り可能な識別子から生成された前記複数のアイテムのスキャンデータを受信し、
前記スキャンデータをデータリポジトリに記憶し、
プロセッサを用いて前記データリポジトリに記憶されたスキャンデータを操作してリアルタイム又は略リアルタイムでアイテム情報を生成し、及び
前記生成したアイテム情報を伝達する、
