Abstract
Description
本発明は、排気部品を試験するための装置と方法に関する。とりわけ、本発明は、大型車両用ディーゼルエンジン排気システムで使用される排気部品の触媒効率を試験するための装置と方法に関する。
ディーゼルエンジン用の現代の排気後処理システムは、ますます高度化されつつある。典型的には、これらのシステムは、排気ガス中に存在する潜在的に有害な汚染物質の量を減らすために考案された様々な部品からなる。これらの汚染物質は、「Nox」と総称される窒素酸化物(NO)や二酸化窒素(NO2)のような窒素の酸化物、一酸化炭素(CO)、未燃燃料、または、炭化水素、および粒子状物質を含んでいる。
(i)一酸化炭素を二酸化炭素(CO2)に、未燃燃料を水とCO2に変換するディーゼル酸化触媒(DOC)部、
(ii)特定のすすと灰中の粒子状物質の量を減らすディーゼル粒子フィルター(DPF)、
(iii)NOとNO2を窒素に変換することによりNOx値を下げるための選択的接触還元触媒(SCRC)部、および
(iv)選択的接触還元プロセスの一部として尿素の形態で排気システムに注入される過剰なアンモニアを取り除くためのアンモニアスリップ触媒(ASC)部。
排気ガスを、排気部品を通過させる工程、および、
排気ガスが前記排気部品を通過する前後に、排気ガスの特性を測定する工程を含み、
経路を通る排気ガスの流れは、排気ガスが通過する排気部品の体積が減少するように、制限される。
該装置は、
第1のクランプ手段と第2のクランプ手段であって、それぞれが、排気ガスが運ばれる際に通る導管の端部を収容するための開口部を含むシーリングプレートを備える、クランプ手段、および、
第1のクランプ手段のシーリングプレートが排気部品の前記第1の端面と接触し、第2のクランプ手段のシーリングプレートが排気部品の前記第2の端面と接触するクランプ位置に、第1のクランプ手段と第2のクランプ手段を移動させる手段であって、その結果、第1のシーリングプレートと第2のシーリングプレートの開口部が位置合わせされ、それによって、前記開口部の間で前記排気部品を通るガスの流路が定められる、手段、を備える。
Claims (14)
- 排気部品を車両から取り外した際に排気部品の触媒効率を試験する方法であって、
排気部品は、排気ガスが通過する複数の細長い経路を有し、前記経路は、前記排気部品の第1の端面と第2の端面の間に延び、
該方法は、
第1の密閉手段を、排気部品の前記第1の端面に当て、第2の密閉手段を、排気部品の前記第2の端面に当てる工程であって、その結果、前記第1の密閉手段と前記第2の密閉手段が、ガス漏れしない密封を形成し、排気ガスが排気部品の複数の経路を通過するのを防ぐ、工程、
排気ガスを、排気部品内を通過させる工程、および、
排気ガスが前記排気部品を通って流れる前後に、排気ガスの特性を測定する工程を含み、
前記経路を通る排気ガスの流れは、排気ガスが通過する排気部品の体積が減少するように、前記第1の密閉手段と前記第2の密閉手段によって制限される、方法。 - 排気ガスが通過する排気部品の体積は、50%未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 排気ガスが通過する排気部品の体積は、15%乃至30%である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ガスが通過する排気部品の体積は、ガスが排気部品の周辺領域を通過しないように、排気部品の中心に位置している、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の密閉手段は第1のシーリングプレートを含み、第2の密閉手段は第2のシーリングプレートを含み、該方法は、前記第1のシーリングプレートと前記第2のシーリングプレートの間で排気部品をクランプで留める工程をさらに含む、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 排気部品はパーティキュレートフィルタである、請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 排気ガスが排気部品を通る前に排気ガスをあらかじめ加熱する工程を含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 排気ガスを、排気部品内に通過させる工程は、排気ガスの入口に加熱したガス流を与える工程を含み、加熱したガスは排気部品中の触媒の作用を受ける材料を含む、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記材料は排気部品の加熱したガス流の中に注入される、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記材料は、窒素酸化物、一酸化炭素、炭化水素、または、これらのガスの少なくとも複数の混合物である、請求項8または9に記載の方法。
- 前記排気部品を加熱する工程を含む、請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 排気部品の触媒効率を試験するために請求項1の方法で使用される装置であって、
排気部品は、排気ガスが通過する複数の細長い経路を有し、前記経路は、前記排気部品の第1の端面と第2の端面の間に延び、
該装置は、
第1のクランプ手段と第2のクランプ手段であって、それぞれが、排気ガスが運ばれる際に通る導管の端部を収容するための開口部を含むシーリングプレートを備える、クランプ手段、
前記開口部内にあり、排気ガスの源に接続された導管、および、
第1のクランプ手段のシーリングプレートが排気部品の前記第1の端面と接触し、第2のクランプ手段のシーリングプレートが排気部品の前記第2の端面と接触するクランプ位置に、第1のクランプ手段と第2のクランプ手段を移動させる手段であって、その結果、第1のシーリングプレートと第2のシーリングプレートの開口部が位置合わせされ、それによって、前記開口部の間で前記排気部品を通るガスの流路が定められる、手段、
を備える、装置。 - シーリングプレートはセラミック製のフェルト材料で作られたシール層を含む、請求項12に記載の装置。
