Claims (29)
- 装置であって、
ケージ及び前記ケージに結合された弁座を含み、弁体内に配置されることになる、弁座アセンブリと、
第1の側、第2の側、第3の側、及び第4の側を有するシールと、を備え、前記第1の側、前記第2の側、及び前記第3の側が、前記弁座アセンブリと接触しており、前記第4の側が、前記弁体と接触することになる、装置。 - 前記シールが、黒鉛から成る第1の部分を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シールがガードを備える、請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記シールが、前記ケージの一端に配置されている、請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載の装置。
- 前記シールが、前記弁座によって画定された凹部内に配置されている、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記弁体をさらに備え、前記弁体が、前記シールを圧縮するために前記第4の側に接触するテーパ面を画定する、請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記弁座の少なくとも一部分が、前記シールを圧縮するために前記ケージに対して移動可能である、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記シールが、華氏約−350度〜華氏約1200度の温度を有するプロセス流体と共に用いられることになる、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 装置であって、
第2の部分に対して移動可能な第1の部分を含む弁座アセンブリと、
前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分との間で圧縮されることになるシールと、
前記弁座アセンブリを受容する弁体と、を備え、前記シールが、前記弁座アセンブリと前記弁体との間で圧縮されて、流体シールを形成することになる、装置。 - 前記弁座アセンブリが、ケージ及び弁座を備える、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記ケージが前記第1の部分を備え、前記弁座が前記第2の部分を備える、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の部分が、前記弁座であり、前記第2の部分が、前記弁座に移動可能に結合されたフランジを備える、請求項9乃至11のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記弁座が、第1の螺山を含み、前記ケージが、前記第1の螺山と嵌合する第2の螺山を含む、請求項10又は11に記載の装置。
- 前記弁座が、前記ケージを介して前記弁体内で吊される、請求項10、11又は13に記載の装置。
- 前記弁体が、テーパ面を画定し、前記シールが、前記テーパ面と前記弁座アセンブリとの間で圧縮されることになる、請求項9乃至14のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記弁座アセンブリが前記弁体内に配置されているとき、前記第1の部分の位置が、前記第2の部分の位置に対して調節可能である、請求項9乃至15のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記シールが、華氏約−350度〜華氏約1200度の温度を有するプロセス流体と共に用いられることになる、請求項9乃至16のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 方法であって、
弁座アセンブリの第1の表面と第2の表面との間でシールを圧縮することであって、前記弁座アセンブリが、弁座及びケージを含むことと、
弁体の第3の表面と前記弁座アセンブリの第4の表面との間で前記シールを圧縮することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記弁座アセンブリの前記第1の表面と前記第2の表面との間で前記シールを圧縮することが、前記ケージに対して前記弁座の少なくとも一部を移動させることを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記弁座の少なくとも前記一部を移動させることが、ツールを前記弁体内に配置することと、前記ツールを前記弁座に動作可能に結合することとを含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記第3の表面がテーパをつけられ、前記弁体の前記第3の表面と前記弁座アセンブリの前記第4の表面との間で前記シールを圧縮することが、前記弁座アセンブリを前記弁体内に下げることと、前記弁体の前記第3の表面の一部に沿って前記シールに接触することとを含む、請求項18乃至20のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 装置であって、
ケージを介して弁体内に吊された弁座の一部に係合するためのブラケットと、
前記ブラケットに回転可能に結合され、前記ブラケットを前記弁体内に吊すための、ハンガーと、を備え、前記ブラケットが、シールを圧縮するために前記ケージに対して前記弁座の少なくとも前記一部を移動させるように回転させられることになる、装置。 - 前記ハンガーの長さが調節可能である、請求項22に記載の装置。
- 前記ブラケット上に配置された継手をさらに含み、前記継手が、前記ブラケットを回転させるためにツールによって係合されることになる、請求項22又は23に記載の装置。
- 前記ブラケットが、前記弁座の前記一部に係合するための雄コネクタを備える、請求項22乃至24のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記ハンガーがケーブルを備える、請求項22乃至25のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 装置であって、
弁体内に配置されたケージに結合された弁座に係合するための手段と、
前記係合するための手段を前記弁体内に吊すための手段と、
前記吊すための手段を前記係合するための手段に回転可能に結合するための手段と、を備え、前記係合するための手段が、前記ケージに対する前記弁座の回転によりシールを圧縮することを可能にすることになる、装置。 - ツールを受容するための手段をさらに備える装置であって、前記受容するための手段が、前記弁座に前記係合するための手段の第1の側に配置される、請求項27に記載の装置。
- 前記吊すための手段が、前記吊すための手段の長さを調節するための手段をさらに備える、請求項27又は28に記載の装置。
