Description
Claims (5)
- ハニカム体の第1および第2の対向する端面の間で軸方向に延在する複数のセルを含み、前記セルが交差する多孔性壁を含んでなるハニカム体と、
前記ハニカム体の周囲上に配置された第1のセメント混合物層と、
前記第1のセメント混合物層上に配置された第2のセメント混合物層と、
を含んでなることを特徴とするハニカム構造。 - 600℃から室温までの冷却時の前記第1のセメント混合物の平均熱膨張係数が、20×10−7/℃以下であり、
600℃から室温までの冷却時の前記第2のセメント混合物の平均熱膨張係数が、前記第1のセメント混合物の平均熱膨張係数より高く、かつ
前記第1のセメント混合物の熱膨張係数が、前記ハニカム体の熱膨張係数と実質的に等しいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハニカム構造。 - 前記第1のセメント混合物層が、前記第2のセメント混合物層よりも高い厚さ可変性を有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のハニカム構造。
- ハニカム構造の製造方法において、
ハニカム体の周囲を第1のセメント混合物でコーティングして、第1のコーティングセメント混合物を形成するステップと、
前記第1のコーティングセメント混合物を乾燥して、第1の皮膜層を形成するステップと、
前記第1の皮膜層を第2のセメント混合物でコーティングして、第2のコーティングセメント混合物を形成するステップと、
前記ハニカム体の周囲上の前記第2のコーティングセメント混合物を乾燥して、第2の皮膜層および前記ハニカム構造を形成するステップと、
を有してなる方法。 - 前記第1のコーティングセメント混合物を乾燥するステップが、前記第1のコーティングセメント混合物を、100〜200℃の温度範囲で、90分未満、高温強制空気に暴露するステップを含んでなり、かつ
前記第2のコーティングセメント混合物を乾燥するステップが、前記第2のコーティングセメント混合物を、25〜60℃の温度範囲で、60分未満、高温空気に暴露するステップを含んでなることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
