Abstract
Description
(a)UVキセノン管12bの照射エネルギーは、70mmの直接照射の場合、UVランプの約13倍である。よってパルス発光でも効果がある。
(b)UVランプでは連続発光が必要であるが、UVキセノン管12bではパルス発光でよいため、照射時間は少なくてすむ。たとえば、UVキセノン管12bを2回発光させた場合(パルス発光、休止、パルス発光)、休止を5秒とすれば、UVランプで同程度の照射エネルギーを得ようとした場合の照射時間の1/3程度の稼動時間ですむ。
(c)UVランプは蛍光灯であるため、5℃以下、40℃以上で使用すると寿命が短くなる。
(d)UVランプは低温始動性が悪く立ち上がりも遅い。立ち上がりが遅いためスタート時の除菌能力が低くなるおそれがある。UVキセノン管12bは一定した除菌能力がある。
(e)UVランプは水銀を使用しているが、UVキセノン管12bは水銀を使用していない。つまり環境面での優位性がある。

Claims (2)
- 収納庫内の収納空間に収容された食器類を、該収納庫に内装した乾燥機構を動作させて乾燥するようにした食器乾燥庫において、
前記収納庫内に紫外線を照射する照射部を備えた構成とされ、
前記乾燥機構と前記照射部とが、前記収納庫内の上部空間おける幅方向の一方側の空間に、幅方向において前記収納空間の一部と隣接するように配されていることを特徴とする食器乾燥庫。 - 請求項1において、
前記照射部は下方に向けて紫外線を照射するようになっている、食器乾燥庫。
