Description

The present invention relates to a set-up method in which front and rear knitted fabrics can be pulled down independently, and more particularly to a set-up method in which a set-up portion is open.

When starting knitting with a flat knitting machine, a set-up needle is used. A typical set-up method is shown in FIG. Using the set-up yarn, hooks are alternately formed on the front needle bed F and the rear needle bed B to form a hook row 60. Similarly, the hook row 62 is formed and the set-up yarns are crossed. Next, the set-up needle 20 is raised and the intersecting portion of the set-up yarn is held with a hook. Then, for example, several stitch knitting stitch rows 64 and 66 are knitted on the stitch rows 60 and 62, a stitch stitch row not shown is knitted, and the stitches of the main knitted fabric are knitted on the stitch stitch stitch rows. When the pull-down force is applied to the knitted fabric by the set-up needle 20 via the hook rows 60 and 62 and the knitting progresses and the lower end of the knitted fabric can be held by the lowering roller, the set-up needle 20 is removed from the set-up yarn. Then lower the set-up bed. When the knitting of the main knitted fabric is completed and the knitted fabric is removed from the flat knitting machine, the set-up portion and the main knitted fabric can be separated by removing the yarn.

The knitting method shown in FIG. 6 is composed of, for example, a pair of front and rear knitted fabrics, and one of the knitted fabrics extends downward from the other knitted fabric, that is, the knitted fabrics having different knitting start heights at the front and rear. Not suitable for organizing. In the set-up method of FIG. 6, since the set-up yarn is connected back and forth at the set-up portion, the set-up portion is closed. When the tubular knitted fabric is knitted following the set-up portion, the inside of the knitted fabric cannot be seen unless the yarn is removed. In addition, knitted fabrics with different knitting start heights cannot be knitted (knitted fabrics with different front and back). FIG. 1 shows an example of a knitted fabric having a difference in front and back, 2 is a front knitted fabric, 4 is a back knitted fabric, where the back knitted fabric 4 extends downward from the front knitted fabric 2 and the knitting start position is low, and the front knitted fabric 2 The rear knitted fabric 4 is connected at both ends to form a tubular knitted fabric. In 4) of FIG. 6, the stitch row 64 is connected to both the stitch rows 60 and 62. In 5), the stitch row 66 is also connected to both the hook rows 60 and 62. From here, for example, it is assumed that the front knitted fabric 2 is knitted on the stitch row 64 and the rear knitted fabric 4 is knitted on the stitch row 66. Since the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4 are both connected to the hook rows 60 and 62, the set-up needle 20 pulls down the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4 having different knitting lengths up to the mouth. However, since the knitting lengths to the tooth mouths are different, an appropriate pulling force cannot be applied from the set-up needle 20 to the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4, making knitting difficult.

According to the present invention, a flat knitting machine including at least a pair of front and back needle beds and a plurality of set-up needles is used to form one set-up portion at the bottom of one knitted fabric and the other set at the bottom of the other knitted fabric. In the set-up method for creating a set-up part,
a: First knitting row and second knitting row are knitted first as the hang row of one set-up portion, and third hang row and fourth hang row are set as the hang row of the other set-up portion The set yarn of the first row and the set yarn of the second row are crossed between the front and back needle beds, and the set yarn of the third row and the fourth row Crossing the set-up yarn between the front and back needle beds,
b: The intersection of the set yarn of the first row of stitches and the set yarn of the second row of stitches is held by the set-up needle, and the set yarns of the third row of stitches and the fourth set of stitch rows Holding an intersection with the set-up yarn with a set-up needle;
c: removing the hook located on one needle bed from the needle bed and leaving the hook located on the other needle bed with respect to the third hook row and the fourth hook row;
d: removing the hook located on the other needle bed from the needle bed and leaving the hook located on the one needle bed with respect to the first hook row and the second hook row;
e: knitting the stitches of one set-up portion on the hooks of the first hook row and the second hook row located on the one needle bed, and the third needle located on the other needle bed Knitting the stitches of the other set-up portion on the stitches of the stitch rows of the second stitch row and the stitches of the fourth stitch row;
Are executed in the above order. It should be noted that at the intersection of the set yarn of the first row of stitches and the set yarn of the second row of stitches, the position where the set yarn of the third row of stitches passes and the set yarn of the fourth set of rows pass. Arrange to avoid position. Similarly, the intersection between the set yarn of the third row and the set yarn of the fourth row is such that the set yarn of the first row and the set yarn of the second row are passed through. Arrange so as to avoid the position where.

When steps a to e are executed in the present invention, the hook row at one set-up portion is locked only to the needles on one needle bed, and the hook row at the other set-up portion is only the needles on the other needle bed. The hook rows are separated from each other. Further, the set-up needle holds only the set-up yarn of one hook row or the set-up yarn of the other hook row, and does not hold both set-up yarns. Therefore, the stitch row of one set-up portion and one knitted fabric are knitted following the row of stitches of one set-up portion, and the stitch row and the other set-up portion of the other set-up portion are followed by the stitch row of the other set-up portion. When the knitted fabrics are knitted, the two knitted fabrics can be pulled down separately by the set-up needle. Therefore, for example, even when one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric have different knitting start heights, these knitted fabrics can be knitted. Note that it is arbitrary which one of the front and rear is one and which is the other.

In this invention, since one set-up portion is connected only to one knitted fabric and the other set-up portion is connected only to the other knitted fabric, one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric are connected to the set-up needle. Can be knitted while pulling down independently. For this reason, one of the knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric can be knitted so as to extend downward from the other. In other words, the knitting start position of one knitted fabric can be made lower than the knitting start position of the other knitted fabric. Accordingly, the degree of freedom in designing a tubular knitted fabric or the like increases. Further, in the present invention, since the knitted fabric having the set-up portion opened can be knitted, the inside of the knitted fabric can be seen without removing the yarn.

In this invention, the hooks of the third hook row and the fourth hook row that have been knitted later are first removed from the needles of the needle bed, and the hooks of the first hook row and the hooks of the second hook row that have been knitted first. Is removed from the needle of the needle bed later, so that the hook can be reliably removed. Furthermore, in the present invention, two set yarns can be held by one set up needle, and a larger number of hooks can be pulled down. For this reason, the knitted fabric can be reliably pulled down without applying excessive force to the set-up yarn.

Particularly preferably, when the first and second stitch rows are knitted in step a, a set-up needle is provided at the intersection of the set yarn of the third row and the set yarn of the fourth row. The set-up yarn is positioned on the one needle bed side without forming a hook on the other needle bed at the position held by. In this way, the set-up yarns of the first and second hook rows are not caught by the set-up needles holding the third and fourth hook rows.

Particularly preferably, the set-up needle is biased downward, and after step e, one of the one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric is knitted and the other knitted fabric is delayed so that the one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric are delayed. The position of the lower end differs between the knitted fabric. That is, the set-up needle is biased downward and is slidable up and down with respect to the set-up bed or the like, so that the height can be changed between the set-up needles. For this reason, the position of a lower end can be easily varied between one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric.

Further, the present invention provides a flat knitting machine including at least a pair of front and back needle beds and a plurality of set-up needles, one set-up portion at the bottom of one knitted fabric and the other set at the bottom of the other knitted fabric. In the set-up method for creating the set-up part,
a: a step of knitting a row of stitches of a set-up yarn in one set-up portion and a row of sets of a set-up yarn in the other set-up portion so as to cross between the front and back needle beds;
b: Position where the set-up yarn crosses between the front and back needle beds with respect to the set-up yarn in the set-up row of one set-up portion and the set-up yarn in the set-up row of the other set-up portion And holding the set-up yarn with the set-up needle so that one set-up needle holds one set-up yarn;
c: With respect to the stitch row of one set-up portion, leave the hook located on one needle bed, remove the hook located on the other needle bed from the needle bed, and to the row of stitches on the other set-up portion Leaving the hook located on the other needle bed and removing the hook located on the one needle bed from the needle bed;
d: knitting the stitch of one set-up portion on the hook of one set-up portion located on the one needle bed, and on the hook of the other set-up portion located on the other needle bed, Knitting the stitches of the other set-up part,
Are executed in the above order.

Here, when steps a to d are executed, the hook row at one set-up portion is locked only to the needles of one needle bed, and the hook row at the other set-up portion is only to the needles of the other needle bed.

Preferably, the set-up needle is urged downward, and after step d, one of the one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric is knitted, and the other knitting is delayed so that the one knitted fabric and the other knitted fabric are delayed. The position of the lower end differs from the ground.

In the following, an optimum embodiment for carrying out the invention will be shown.

The flat knitting machine to be used includes, for example, a pair of front and back, or a total of four needle beds in the front and back, and for example, one of the front and back needle beds can be racked against the other needle bed, and stitch transfer between the needle beds is possible. It shall be free. However, in the modified example of FIG. 5, racking and transfer may not be possible. A space between the needle beds is called a tooth opening, and needles of the needle bed (hereinafter simply referred to as “needles”) advance into the tooth opening to form a knitted fabric. A portion of the knitted fabric that is valuable as a product is called a main knitted fabric. Further, the set-up yarn is a yarn used for set-up (start of knitting), and the removal yarn is a yarn used for knitting between the set-up portion and the main knitted fabric. The set-up portion and the main knitted fabric can be separated by removing the yarn removal. If the removal yarn is a water-soluble yarn, the removal operation can be omitted, and if the set-up yarn is water-soluble, the yarn removal is unnecessary.

The main knitted fabric is wound downward by the lowering roller of the flat knitting machine, and the set-up yarn row is held and pulled down by the set-up needle until the knitted fabric reaches the lowering roller. For example, one set-up needle is attached to the set-up bed for every two needles on the needle bed. Preferably, the set-up needle is slidable up and down with respect to the set-up bed and biased downward. The height of the slidable set-up needle hook changes depending on the magnitude of the force applied from the set-up yarn to the set-up needle. The set-up bed can be moved up and down. When the set-up bed rises and holds the row of hooks of the set-up portion, descends with knitting, and the knitted fabric can be held by the lowering roller, the set-up needle is set up with the set-up yarn. Remove from the hook.

FIG. 1 schematically shows a main knitted fabric to be knitted, 2 is a front knitted fabric, 4 is a back knitted fabric, and the front knitted fabric 2 and the back knitted fabric 4 are connected in a cylindrical shape at both ends. Is extending downwards. When all the hooks of the set-up needles face one of the needle beds and the needle stem faces the other needle bed, it is preferable that the knitted fabric on the needle bed side to which the hooks are directed extends downward.

FIG. 2 shows a tubular knitted fabric 5 including a front knitting portion 6, a rear knitting portion 7, a front yarn removal portion 8, and a rear yarn removal portion 9, and a chain line indicates a connection relationship between the front knitted fabric and the rear knitted fabric. Show. The front knitting part 6 and the rear knitting part 7 have the same number of courses, for example, and the front yarn removal part 8 and the rear yarn removal part 9 have the same number of courses, for example. When the front yarn removal portion 8 and the rear yarn removal portion 9 are knitted, the knitting of the area 4a of the rear knitted fabric 4 protruding downward is started, then the knitting of the areas 4b, 4c and the areas 2b, 2c is started, and finally the upper The knitting of the area 2d of the front knitted fabric 2 that is moving backward is started. The front yarn removal portion 8 and the rear yarn removal portion 9 need not be knitted.

FIGS. 3 and 4 show the knitting from the front set-up portion 6 and the back set-up portion 7 to the front take-out yarn portion 8 and the back draw-out portion 9 in the embodiment, with some courses omitted. In 1), the first hook row 10 is knitted with the set-up yarn, and in 2) the second hook row 12 is knitted with the set-up yarn. The hook rows 10 and 12 are hook rows for setting up the back knitted fabric 4 and are hook rows of one set-up portion, and are knitted with a cycle of eight needles. The hook rows 10 and 12 cross the front and back needle beds B and F and intersect every four needles to form an intersection 18. In the hook rows 10 and 12, the position where the hook is formed is determined so that the set-up yarn does not pass through an intersection 19 between the hook rows 14 and 16, which will be described later. Further, the intersecting portion 18 is arranged so as to avoid a position through which the set-up yarns of the hook rows 14 and 16 pass.

In 3), the third hook row 14 is knitted with the set-up yarn, and in 4) the fourth hook row 16 is knitted with the set-up yarn. The hook rows 14 and 16 are hook rows for setting up the front knitted fabric 2 and are hook rows of the other set-up portion. The hook rows 14 and 16 are knitted with a cycle of eight needles, cross the front and back needle beds B and F, and the needle 4 The intersection 19 is formed by crossing every book. The intersecting portion 19 is arranged so as to avoid the position where the set-up yarns of the hook rows 10 and 12 pass. The intersecting portions 18 and 19 are alternately located, and the intersecting portions 18 and 19 are provided for every two needles as a whole, and at the position where the intersecting portion 19 for the front knitted fabric 2 is present, All the set-up yarns are arranged on the rear needle bed B side in the mouth. The set-up needle 20 is raised so as to hold the set-up portion at the position of the intersecting portions 18 and 19 (5 in FIG. 3)). The set-up yarns constituting the hook rows 10 to 16 are, for example, the same yarn, but a plurality of set-up yarns may be used.

At 6), the hooks on the rear needle bed B side are removed from the needles with respect to the hook rows 14 and 16 of the other set-up portion to form hook rows 15 and 17. At this time, since the hook rows 14 and 16 are knitted after the hook rows 10 and 12, when the hooks of the hook rows 14 and 16 are removed from the rear needle bed B, the set-up yarn moves over the set-up needle 20a. It can pass and move to the front needle bed F side.

In step 7), the hooks on the front needle bed F side are removed from the needles for the hook rows 10 and 12 of one set-up portion to form hook rows 11 and 13. Since the hook rows 10 and 12 are knitted before the hook rows 14 and 16, the hook rows 10 and 12 cannot pass over the set-up needle 20b holding the intersection 19 of the hook rows 15 and 17. However, since the set-up yarns of the hook rows 10 and 12 are all on the rear needle bed B side at the position of the intersection 19, the set-up yarn is set up when the hook on the front needle bed F side is removed from the needle in step 7). The needle 20 is not caught. When the paying operation of 6) and 7) is performed, the set-up needle 20 includes only the set-up needle 20a for holding the hook rows 11 and 13 for the rear knitted fabric 4 and the hook rows 15 and 17 for the front knitted fabric 2 only. The set-up needles 20a and 20b are alternately positioned.

In order to perform the paying operation of 6) and 7) more reliably, the step 5) ′ is performed between 5) and 6), and the stitch row 22 for the front knitted fabric 2 and the stitch row 24 for the back knitted fabric 4 are performed. And may be organized. In the embodiment, half of the stitches in the stitch row 22 are those obtained by performing a knit operation on the set-up yarn using a blank needle. The stitches of the stitch rows 22 and 24 are not knitted on all the stitches of the stitch rows 10, 12, 14, and 16, but are provided only at positions where the stitches are knitted as the front set-up portion 6 and the back set-up portion 7.

4), the stitch row 26 is knitted on the front needle bed F, whereby the hook rows 15 and 17 are removed from the front needle bed F. In 9), the stitch row 28 is knitted on the rear needle bed B, and the hook rows 11 and 13 are removed from the rear needle bed B. Since all the hooks are removed from the rear needle bed B, a place where three stitches are continuous in the stitch row 28 occurs. When 5) 'in FIG. 3 is performed, the stitch row 26 is knitted on the stitch row 22, and the stitch row 28 is knitted on the remaining stitches without being paid to the stitch row 24.

In 10), the stitch rows 27 and 29 are knitted on the stitch rows 26 and 28 by one to several courses. In 11), the center stitch of the stitches arranged in the third stitch is transferred to the stitch row 29 and overlapped with the other stitches, so that the stitch row 30 is arranged with every two needles. In 12) and 13), the stitch rows 32 and 34 of the yarn removal are knitted in one to several courses. Subsequent to the stitch rows 32 and 34 of the yarn removal, a main knitted fabric composed of the knitted fabrics 2 and 4 in FIG. 2 is knitted. In addition, it is preferable to use a knitting method such as interlock knitting at the knitting start location of the main knitted fabric.

The embodiment has the following characteristics.
1) The set-up needle 20a pulls down only the rear knitted fabric 4, and the set-up needle 20b pulls down only the front knitted fabric 2. In other words, the front set-up portion 6 and the back set-up portion 7 are not connected, and they are pulled down separately by the set-up needles 20a and 20b.
2) Therefore, even when one of the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4 extends downward from the other, the knitted fabrics 2 and 4 can be pulled down individually, and set-up becomes possible.
3) All of the set-up yarns in the hook rows 10 and 12 for the back knitted fabric 4 are located on the back needle bed B side at the position of the intersecting portion 19. For this reason, when the hook rows 10 and 12 are removed from the needle, the set-up yarn is not caught by the set-up needle 20b.
4) The set-up needle 20 is slidable up and down with respect to the set-up bed and is biased downward. For this reason, the set-up needle 20b is raised above the set-up needle 20a, the front knitted fabric 2 having a short length can be pulled down by the set-up needle 20b, and the rear knitted fabric 4 having a long length can be pulled down by the set-up needle 20a. Even when the set-up needle 20 is fixed to the set-up bed, it is possible to set up the knitted fabrics 2 and 4 having different lengths. In that case, for example, the number of courses of the front set-up portion 6 on the front knitted fabric 2 side having a short length is increased more than the number of courses of the rear set-up portion 7 on the back knitted fabric 4 side. It is preferable to perform a treatment such as using a set-up yarn having high elasticity.
5) The intersecting portions 18 and 19 of the set-up yarn are held by the set-up needle 20, and the pull-down force is applied to more hooks through the two set-up yarns with one set-up needle 20. A stronger pulling force can be applied to the knitted fabrics 2 and 4 without causing yarn breakage.

The embodiment further has the following characteristics.
6) Since the set-up part is open, the inside of the knitted fabric can be seen without removing the thread.
7) Since the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4 having different knitting start heights can be knitted, the degree of freedom in designing a tubular knitted fabric is increased.
8) When a set-up needle that is slidable up and down with respect to the set-up bed and is biased downward is used, the front set-up portion 6 and the back set-up portion 7 may have the same number of courses, The same number of courses may be used for the post-drawing portion 9.

The knitted fabric 5 to be knitted is not necessarily cylindrical. For example, in FIGS. 1 and 2, when the front knitted fabric 2 is divided into right and left along the length direction, a knitted fabric suitable for a cardigan or the like is obtained. Further, in FIG. 1, a knitted fabric in which one end of the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4 are connected to each other and the other end is separated may be knitted. Further, the knitted fabric 5 is a fabric in which two layers of front and rear layers are connected to each other, and three layers or four layers of knitted fabrics may be connected to each other. For example, a connecting fabric is filled between the knitted fabric of the first layer and the knitted fabric of the second layer by tack or the like to form a spacer fabric, and a third layer is provided in addition to the first layer and the second layer at both ends of the first layer and the second layer. When both ends of the three layers are connected, a tubular knitted fabric is obtained. This knitted fabric is a supporter having a protective surface on the spacer fabric side. Also in this case, if one set-up needle can be set up so that only one layer of the knitted fabric is pulled down, the set-up needle can be knitted even if the height of the start of knitting differs from layer to layer.

FIG. 5 shows a set-up method according to a modified example. In this modified example, each set-up needle 20 holds one set-up yarn instead of an intersection. In other respects, it is the same as the embodiment of FIGS. Knitting the row of stitches 40 of one set-up portion with the set-up yarn so as to cross the rear needle bed B and the front needle bed F, and then knitting the set-up row 42 of the other set-up portion with the set-up yarn in the same manner. Then, the set-up needle 20 is raised and the set-up yarn is held at a position across the front and back needle beds B and F. This state is shown in 1), and only one set-up yarn is held on one set-up needle 20. In 2), the hook of the stitch row 42 of the other set-up portion held on the rear needle bed B is removed from the needle, and the stitch row 43 is obtained. In 3), the hook held by the front needle bed F of the hook row 40 of one set-up portion is removed from the needle, and the hook row 41 is obtained. Unlike the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, in the modification shown in FIG. 5, the removed set-up yarn is not caught by the set-up needle when passing over the set-up needle. Therefore, the hook may be removed from the needle in the order of 2) → 3), or conversely, the hook may be removed from the needle in the order of 3) → 2).

In the state of 3), all the hook rows 41 of one set-up portion are held by the needles of the rear needle bed B, and all the hook rows 43 of the other set-up portion are held by the needles of the front needle bed F. The needle 20a pulls down only the hook row 41, and the set-up needle 20b pulls down only the hook row 43. That is, there is no set-up needle 20 that pulls down the row of stitches of both set-up portions, and the set-up needle 20 is divided into a set-up needle 20a and a set-up needle 20b. As a result, even if the knitting start height differs between the front knitted fabric 2 and the rear knitted fabric 4, the set-up can be performed. In the modification shown in FIG. 5, unlike the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, one set-up needle holds only one set-up thread, so the number of hooks that the set-up needle pulls down is small. The pulling force applied to the knitted fabric from the feeding needle is reduced.
