Abstract
【解決手段】シャフト1と、シャフトの外周に設けられた基層2と、を備えるローラである。基層のローラ軸方向両端部の端面に、基層を被覆する目止め層4が設けられており、かつ、目止め層が、JIS K 7127の引張試験に準拠して測定した破断歪みが120%以上であって、JIS K 7127の引張試験に準拠して測定した100%伸張時の引張応力が5〜30N/mm2である材料からなる。

Description
前記基層のローラ軸方向両端部の端面に、該基層を被覆する目止め層が設けられており、かつ、該目止め層が、JIS K 7127の引張試験に準拠して測定した破断歪みが120%以上であって、JIS K 7127の引張試験に準拠して測定した100%伸張時の引張応力が5〜30N/mm2である材料からなることを特徴とするものである。
図1に、本発明のローラの一例の長手方向断面図を示す。図示するローラ10は、シャフト1と、その外周に担持された基層2と、基層2の外周に被覆された1層の塗膜層3と、を備えている。
まず、シャフト(φ6mm、長さ260mm、材質:硫黄快削鋼)の外周に、メカニカルフロス法によりポリウレタンフォームを担持させた。このポリウレタンフォームの密度は、0.60g/cm3であった。
図3に示す装置を用いて、各供試ローラの目止め層が装置内で他部材と接触、衝突した場合における耐久性を評価した。具体的には、各供試ローラ30の目止め層が形成されたローラ本体部の端部30Eに対し、市販のプリンタ材質として一般的なポリアセタール(POM)樹脂製のリング状部材31(内径6mm,外径11.5mm)を1.5Nの荷重Fで押し付けた状態で、各供試ローラを200rpmで回転させて、経過時間に伴う目止め層の削れの発生の有無について評価した。図中の符号32はモータを示す。評価基準は以下の通りである。その結果を、下記の表中に示す。
○:目止め層も基材も無傷。
△:目止め層が取れ始めている。
×:基材が削れてカスが発生している。

Claims (7)
- シャフトと、該シャフトの外周に設けられた基層と、を備えるローラにおいて、
前記基層のローラ軸方向両端部の端面に、該基層を被覆する目止め層が設けられており、かつ、該目止め層が、JIS K 7127の引張試験に準拠して測定した破断歪みが120%以上であって、JIS K 7127の引張試験に準拠して測定した100%伸張時の引張応力が5〜30N/mm2である材料からなることを特徴とするローラ。 - 前記目止め層の材料が、水系ウレタン樹脂を含む請求項1記載のローラ。
- 前記目止め層の材料が、シリコーン系添加剤を含む請求項1または2記載のローラ。
- 前記目止め層の材料が、前記シリコーン系添加剤を5〜30質量%含有する請求項3記載のローラ。
- 前記目止め層の膜厚が、10〜100μmである請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項記載のローラ。
- 導電性ローラである請求項1〜5のうちいずれか一項記載のローラ。
- 請求項1〜6のうちいずれか一項記載のローラが搭載されていることを特徴とする画像形成装置。
