Claims (6)
- 排気管の途中に設置されたパティキュレートフィルタの下流側に、検出部にパティキュレートを堆積させて該パティキュレートの堆積量を出力するPMセンサを設置し、
前記パティキュレートフィルタが所定のパティキュレート捕集能力を有する基準状態にあると仮定する仮定条件を設定し、
該仮定条件のもとに、前記PMセンサにおけるパティキュレートの仮想堆積量に応じた仮想出力値を算出し、
該仮想出力値が所定の判定閾値に達した時点で、前記PMセンサの出力が前記判定閾値以上である場合に前記パティキュレートフィルタは故障していると判定すること
を特徴とするパティキュレートフィルタの故障診断方法。 - 前記判定閾値は、前記PMセンサの飽和出力値であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの故障診断方法。
- 前記PMセンサがパティキュレートの堆積量に応じた出力値を出力できる状態にある場合の出力値のみを採用して実行されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの故障診断方法。
- 排気管の途中に設置されたパティキュレートフィルタと、
該パティキュレートフィルタより下流側で検出部にパティキュレートを堆積させて排気中のパティキュレートを検出するPMセンサと、
前記パティキュレートフィルタが所定のパティキュレート捕集能力を有する基準状態にあると仮定する仮定条件を設定し、該仮定条件のもとに前記PMセンサにおけるパティキュレートの仮想堆積量に応じた仮想出力値を算出し、該仮想出力値が所定の判定閾値に達した時点で、前記PMセンサの出力が前記判定閾値以上である場合に前記パティキュレートフィルタは故障していると判定する制御装置と
を備えたことを特徴とするパティキュレートフィルタの故障診断装置。 - 前記判定閾値として、前記PMセンサの飽和出力値を用いるよう構成したことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの故障診断装置。
- 前記故障診断は、前記PMセンサがパティキュレートの堆積量に応じた出力値を出力できる状態にある場合の出力値のみを採用して実行されるよう構成されていることを特徴とする請求項4または5に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの故障診断装置。
