Claims (22)
- 無線送受信ユニット(WTRU)におけるコンテンツスイッチングの方法であって、前記方法は、
複数のストリームとしてエンコードされたコンテンツセグメントに関する品質情報を受信するステップであって、前記コンテンツセグメントはコンテンツ期間の一部を形成する、受信するステップと、
前記コンテンツセグメントのストリームを、前記ストリームに関連付けられたそれぞれのビットレートおよび品質情報に応じて選択するステップと、
選択されたストリームを要求するステップと、
前記選択されたストリームを受信するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記コンテンツセグメントのストリームを選択するステップは、前記ストリームに関連付けられた最も低いビットレートおよび品質の少なくとも閾値レベルを有する、前記コンテンツセグメントのストリームを確定するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンテンツセグメントはビデオセグメントを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報はマニフェストファイルに記憶されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記マニフェストファイルは、マルチメディアプレゼンテーション記述(MPD)ファイルを含み、前記品質情報は、前記MPDファイルの1または複数のタグに含まれることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報はセグメントインデックスファイルに記憶されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記セグメントインデックスファイルは、MP4ファイルまたはMS4ファイルのうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記セグメントインデックスファイルは、少なくとも1つのボックスを含むISOBMFFベースのファイルコンテナを含み、前記ISOBMFFベースのファイルコンテナの前記少なくとも1つのボックス内に、セグメント品質パラメータが含まれることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記WTRUは、マルチメディアプレゼンテーション記述(MPD)ファイルにおけるフラグを介して、前記品質情報の存在に信号伝達されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報は、マルチメディアプレゼンテーション記述(MPD)ファイルに関連付けられたファイルに含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ファイルは、前記MPDファイルにおける適応セットに関連付けられることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 無線送受信ユニット(WTRU)におけるコンテンツスイッチングの方法であって、前記方法は、
複数のストリームとしてエンコードされたコンテンツサブセグメントに関する品質情報を受信するステップであって、前記コンテンツサブセグメントはコンテンツ期間の一部を形成するコンテンツセグメントの一部を形成する、受信するステップと、
前記コンテンツサブセグメントのストリームを、前記ストリームに関連付けられたそれぞれのビットレートおよび品質情報に応じて選択するステップと、
選択されたストリームに対する要求するステップと、
前記選択されたストリームを受信するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記コンテンツサブセグメントのストリームを選択するステップは、前記ストリームに関連付けられた最も低いビットレートおよび品質の少なくとも閾値レベルを有する、前記コンテンツサブセグメントのストリームを確定するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報はマニフェストファイルに記憶されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記マニフェストファイルは、マルチメディアプレゼンテーション記述(MPD)ファイルを含み、前記品質情報は、前記MPDファイルの1または複数のタグに含まれることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報はセグメントインデックスファイルに記憶されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記WTRUは、マルチメディアプレゼンテーション記述(MPD)ファイルにおけるフラグを介して、前記品質情報の存在に信号伝達されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報は、マルチメディアプレゼンテーション記述(MPD)ファイルに関連付けられたファイルに含まれることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ファイルは、前記MPDファイルにおける適応セットに関連付けられることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- 無線送受信ユニット(WTRU)における品質ドリブンスイッチングの方法であって、前記方法は、
第1のビットレートでコンテンツの第1のストリームを受信するステップであって、コンテンツの前記第1のストリームは品質の少なくとも閾値レベルを有する、受信するステップと、
コンテンツの前記第1のストリームの期間のセグメントに関する品質情報を受信するステップと、
受信された品質情報に基づいて、第2のビットレートでのコンテンツの第2のストリームを確定するステップであって、前記第2のビットレートは前記第1のビットレートよりも低く、コンテンツの前記第2のストリームは品質の少なくとも前記閾値レベルを有する、確定するステップと、
前記第2のビットレートでコンテンツの前記第2のストリームを受信するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - コンテンツの前記第1のストリームは、ビデオの第1のストリームであり、コンテンツの前記第2のストリームは、ビデオの第2のストリームであることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記品質情報は、前記セグメントのサブセグメントに関することを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
