Abstract
Description
(a)反応生成物中の他の反応剤のヒドロキシル(または酸水素)部分に対する化学量論的過剰量の少なくとも約1モルパーセントの有機ジイソシアネート部分と、
以下の(b)〜(e)の反応剤:

の2つの第一級ヒドロキシル基および少なくとも1つのアリルエーテル側基を有する不飽和ジオール;
(c)イソシアネートとの少なくとも2つの反応部位を有し、約450未満の分子量を有する鎖延長剤;
(d)約500〜約4,000の分子量を有する長鎖ポリオール;および
(e)遊離基開始反応によってハードセグメントにおける架橋構造を誘導する遊離基を生成することができるように十分な量の遊離基開始剤、
の混合物との反応から形成される反応生成物である。

の混合物との反応から形成される反応生成物である。次に、前駆体は、前駆体を硬化するように湿分で処理されて、ゴルフボール上に過剰インデックスの架橋熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマー外側カバー層が形成される。
A.圧縮変形:本明細書における圧縮変形は、力を受けたボール、または該ボールの任意の部分の変形量を示し、具体的には、力が、10kgから130kgになるように増大される場合、130kgの力を受けたボールまたはその部分の変形量を、10kgの力を受けたボールまたはその部分の変形量で引いた値が、ボールまたはその部分の圧縮変形値である。
B.硬度:ゴルフボール層の硬度は、一般に、ASTM D−2240に準拠して測定されるが、ただし、成形されたボールの曲面のランド領域において測定される。
C.CORの測定方法:試験用のゴルフボールが、40m/秒の初速でエアキャノン(空気砲)によって発射され、速度監視装置が、キャノンから0.6〜0.9メートルの距離に配置される。ゴルフボールは、エアキャノンから約1.2メートル離れて位置決めされた鋼板に当たり、速度監視装置を通って跳ね返る。戻り速度を初速で除算した値がCORである。
D.曲げ弾性率:ASTM D−790に準拠して測定される。
E.ビカット軟化温度:ASTM D−1525に準拠して測定される。
F.100%弾性率:M100としても知られており、ASTM D−412に準拠して測定される。
Claims (29)
- 外側カバー層以外の少なくとも1つの予め選択されたゴルフボール層を含むゴルフボール前駆体と、
前記ゴルフボール前駆体を実質的に囲む外側カバー層と、
を備えるゴルフボールであって、
前記外側カバー層が、
(1)少なくとも約1.01のNCOインデックスを有する過剰インデックスの熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマーの組成物を含み、
(2)約150kg/cm2未満の100%弾性率を有する、
ゴルフボール。 - 前記外側カバー層が、約1.06〜約1.18のNCOインデックスを有する、請求項1に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側カバー層が、約1,000psi未満の曲げ弾性率を有する、請求項1に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側カバー層が、約800psi未満の曲げ弾性率を有する、請求項3に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記ゴルフボール前駆体が、
少なくとも熱可塑性材料を含む内側コア層と、
前記内側コア層を実質的に囲み、熱硬化性ゴム組成物を含む外側コア層と、
前記外側コア層を実質的に囲み、少なくとも約60の表面ショアD硬度を有する内側カバー層と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のゴルフボール。 - 前記内側コア層の前記熱可塑性材料が、2つの高度に中和された酸ポリマーのブレンドを含む、請求項5に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記内側コア層が、約21mm〜約28mmの直径および約3.4mm〜約4.2mmの圧縮変形を有する、請求項6に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側コア層が、約5mm〜約9mmの厚さを有する、請求項7に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側コア層が、約50〜約60の表面ショアD硬度を有する、請求項8に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側コア層が、前記内側コア層の前記表面ショアD硬度よりも大きい表面ショアD硬度を有する、請求項9に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側コア層が、約0.80未満の反発係数を有する、請求項10に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記内側コア層が、前記外側コア層の前記反発係数よりも低い反発係数を有する、請求項11に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側カバー層が、約140kg/cm2未満の100%弾性率を有する、請求項1に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側カバー層が、約80kg/cm2〜約130kg/cm2の100%弾性率を有する、請求項13に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記内側カバー層が、約1.2mm未満の厚さを有する、請求項14に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側カバー層が、約53〜約57の表面ショアD硬度を有する、請求項15に記載のゴルフボール。
- 外側カバー層以外の少なくとも1つの予め選択されたゴルフボール層を含むゴルフボール前駆体と、
前記内側カバー層を実質的に囲む外側カバー層と、
を備えるゴルフボールであって、
前記外側カバー層が、
(1)アリルエーテル側基から形成された架橋を含む過剰インデックスの架橋熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマーの組成物を含み、前記架橋熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマーが、
(a)反応生成物中の他の反応剤のヒドロキシル(または酸水素)部分に対する化学量論的過剰量の少なくとも約1モルパーセントの有機ジイソシアネート部分と、
以下の(b)〜(e)の反応剤:

- 前記前駆体が、
少なくとも熱可塑性材料を含む内側コア層と、
前記内側コア層を実質的に囲み、熱硬化性ゴム組成物を含む外側コア層と、
前記外側コア層を実質的に囲み、少なくとも約60の表面ショアD硬度を有する内側カバー層と、
を含む、請求項17に記載のゴルフボール。 - 前記内側コア層の前記熱可塑性材料が、2つの高度に中和された酸ポリマーのブレンドを含む、請求項17に記載のゴルフボール。

- 約0.8未満の反発係数を有する、請求項25に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記外側カバー層が、約80kg/cm2〜約130kg/cm2の100%弾性率を有する、請求項17に記載のゴルフボール。
