測定装置:レーザー回折/散乱式粒度分布測定装置LA−920(株式会社堀場製作所、京都府京都市)
解析ソフトウェア:LA−920 for Windows(登録商標)
砥粒量:150mg
分散媒:イオン交換水150mL
循環速度(水の撹拌速度):設定値15
超音波発振:あり(LA−920内蔵の超音波装置を使用)
測定温度:室温(25℃)
相対湿度:85%以下
He−Neレーザー光透過率:85%
タングステンランプ透過率:85%
相対屈折率:1.80に設定(ダイヤモンドの相対屈折率:1.81)
測定時間:20秒
データ取り込み数:10
粒径基準:体積
研削力試験によりブツ除去性能を評価した。手順は以下のとおりである。研磨材料の構造化表面の反対面から剥離ライナーを除去して感圧接着層を露出させ、回転試験機に固定する。被研磨物をポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)板(直径102mmの円形)とし、荷重5kgf(95gf/cm2)で研磨回数1000回毎に被研磨物の質量変化を測定し、合計で3000回研磨を行う。結果を表5に示す。質量変化が大きいことは研磨材料の研削力が高い、すなわちブツ除去性能に優れていることを示す。
2段階研磨試験により、ブツ除去後に荒れた表面の表面粗さ、及び粗研磨を行なわずにこの表面を仕上げ研磨で仕上げるのに必要な研磨回数を評価した。この試験に使用した試験機は、サンダーを固定保持するアーム及び塗装板を取り付けるためのステージを備えている。アームはサンダーに負荷を掛けた状態でサンダーを直線運動(一方向又は往復)させることができる。手順は以下のとおりである。塗装板として日本ペイント製HXをコーティングしたボンデ鋼板(縦25cm×横32cm)を用意し、塗装面を上にして試験機のステージに固定する。3125ブツ除去用サンダーに3125PSAパッドソフトを取り付け、その上に研磨材料1〜6、466LA A5、466LA A3、及び266LA A2のいずれかを取り付ける。3125サンダーの研磨面は自転運動せずに直径2mmの円上でオービタル運動する。3125サンダーを試験機のアームに取り付けてから研磨材料の研磨面(構造化表面)に霧吹きで水を供給し、供給空気圧0.4MPa、荷重1kgf、速度3cm/秒で20cmの長さを2回(1往復)通過させて塗装面を研削する。

Claims (4)
- 複数の三次元要素が配置された構造化表面を有する研磨層を含む研磨材料を用いて塗装表面のブツを除去して、仕上げ研磨に適した表面を提供することと、
該表面を仕上げ研磨することと
を含む、塗装表面の仕上げ方法であって、前記研磨層が、平均粒径0.5〜5μmのダイヤモンド砥粒と、エポキシ樹脂を含有するバインダーとを含む、塗装表面の仕上げ方法。 - 前記仕上げ研磨に適した表面のRzが0.5μm以下である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の三次元要素が、角錐、円錐、切頭角錐及び切頭円錐、並びにこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される形状を有する、請求項1又は2のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 複数の三次元要素が配置された構造化表面を有する研磨層を含む、塗装表面に使用される研磨材料であって、前記研磨層が、平均粒径0.5〜5μmのダイヤモンド砥粒と、エポキシ樹脂を含有するバインダーとを含む、研磨材料。
