Abstract
【解決手段】導光部27と、導光部27に映像光を導入する光学系(24、25)と、導光部27内を伝播する映像光を伝播方向に亘って導光部27の表面から射出させる光束取出し部36と、を備える表示装置10において、導光部27の表面S9に接して光学系(24、25)の一部(25)を位置決めする位置決め部材51を備える。

Description
前記導光部の前記表面に接して前記光学系の一部又は前記導光部を位置決めする位置決め部材を備える、ことを特徴とするものである。
図1は、本発明の第1実施の形態に係る表示装置の斜視図である。図1に示す表示装置10は、映像投影光学系11及び瞳拡大光学系12を含んで構成される。本実施の形態において、映像投影光学系11の光軸に沿った方向をz方向、z方向に垂直且つ互いに垂直な2方向をx方向及びy方向とする。図1においては、上方向をx方向とする。また、図1において、瞳拡大光学系12近傍においては、右斜め下方をy方向、左斜め下方をz方向とする。
図13は、本発明の第2実施の形態に係る表示装置を説明するための図で、(a)は要部の概略構成図であり、(b)は(a)のA−A線断面図である。つまり、図13(a)は、図1を瞳拡大光学系12の投影領域PA側から見た概略図である。本実施の形態に係る表示装置60は、第1実施の形態に係る表示装置10において、第2の伝播光学系26の支持機構が異なるものである。以下、第1実施の形態と同じ部分は同一の参照符号を付して説明を省略し、第1実施の形態と異なる点について説明する。
図15は、本発明の第3実施の形態に係る表示装置の全体の光学系の構成を模式的に示す図である。本実施の形態に係る表示装置70は、上述した実施の形態において、瞳拡大光学系12が、偏光子23、1/2波長板25及び第2の伝播光学系26を省略した第1の伝播光学系24からなる。以下、上述した実施の形態と同じ部分は同一の参照符号を付して詳細な説明を省略し、上述した実施の形態と異なる点について説明する。なお、以下の説明では、第1の伝播光学系24を単に伝播光学系24と称する。同様に、伝播光学系24の構成要素についても、単に、導光部27、偏光ビームスプリット膜28、入力偏向部29、及び出力偏向部30と称する。
図17は、本発明の第4実施の形態に係る表示装置の要部の構成を模式的に示す図である。本実施の形態に係る表示装置71は、第3実施の形態に係る表示装置70において、伝播光学系24の光束取出し部の構成が異なるものである。以下、第3実施の形態と異なる点について説明する。

Claims (8)
- 導光部と、該導光部に映像光を導入する光学系と、前記導光部内を伝播する前記映像光を伝播方向に亘って前記導光部の表面から射出させる光束取出し部と、を備える表示装置において、
前記導光部の前記表面に接して前記光学系の一部又は前記導光部を位置決めする位置決め部材を備える、ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記位置決め部材は、前記表面に弾性的に押圧されて接する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記位置決め部材は、前記表面に点接触する、ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記位置決め部材は、前記表面に線接触する、ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記位置決め部材は、前記表面に接する面が粗面からなる、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記粗面は、面粗度Rvが0.6μm以上である、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置。
- 前記位置決め部材は金属からなる、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
- 前記位置決め部材はプラスチックからなる、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の表示装置。
