Description
(a)充放電が可能な電池セルを含む二つ以上の電池モジュールが側面方向に互いに接しながら上層と下層の2つの層構造で積層されているモジュールアセンブリ、
(b)前記上層モジュールアセンブリにおいて、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び前面上端を覆いながら装着されている第1の上層連結部材と、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び後面上端を覆いながら装着されている第2の上層連結部材、
(c)前記下層モジュールアセンブリにおいて、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び前面下端を覆いながら装着されている第1の下層連結部材と、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び後面下端を覆いながら装着されている第2の下層連結部材、
(d)前記上層と下層モジュールアセンブリの側面を同時に覆いながら上層連結部材と下層連結部材に結合されている一対の側面支持部材、
(e)前記上層と下層モジュールアセンブリの側面と側面支持部材との間の界面に装着される各絶縁部材、及び
(f)前記下層モジュールアセンブリの前面下端をそれぞれ支持しながら各側面支持部材に結合されている第1の下端支持部材と、下層モジュールアセンブリの後面下端をそれぞれ支持しながら各側面支持部材に結合されている第2の下端支持部材、

Claims (26)
- (a)充放電が可能な電池セルを含む二つ以上の電池モジュールが側面方向に互いに接しながら上層と下層の2つの層構造で積層されているモジュールアセンブリ、
(b)前記上層モジュールアセンブリにおいて、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び前面上端を覆いながら装着されている第1の上層連結部材と、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び後面上端を覆いながら装着されている第2の上層連結部材、
(c)前記下層モジュールアセンブリにおいて、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び前面下端を覆いながら装着されている第1の下層連結部材と、最外側の各電池モジュールの両側面の一部及び後面下端を覆いながら装着されている第2の下層連結部材、
(d)前記上層と下層モジュールアセンブリの側面を同時に覆いながら上層連結部材と下層連結部材に結合されている一対の側面支持部材、
(e)前記上層と下層モジュールアセンブリの側面と側面支持部材との間の界面に装着される各絶縁部材、及び
(f)前記下層モジュールアセンブリの前面下端をそれぞれ支持しながら各側面支持部材に結合されている第1の下端支持部材と、下層モジュールアセンブリの後面下端をそれぞれ支持しながら各側面支持部材に結合されている第2の下端支持部材、
を含んでいることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 前記電池モジュールは、二つ以上の電池セルまたは電池セルを含む二つ以上の単位モジュールが電気的に連結されてモジュールケースに内蔵されている構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記第1及び第2の上層連結部材は、モジュールアセンブリの両側面の一部及び前面上端または後面上端を同時に覆うように垂直断面上に「コ」字状であるフレーム本体と、前記側面支持部材に結合されるように前記フレーム本体の両側端部からそれぞれ延長されている結合部と、を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記第1及び第2の下層連結部材は、モジュールアセンブリの両側面の一部及び前面下端または後面下端を同時に覆うように垂直断面上に「コ」字状であるフレーム本体と、前記側面支持部材及び下端支持部材に結合されるように前記フレーム本体の両側端部からそれぞれ延長されている結合部と、を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記第1及び第2の上層連結部材と第1及び第2の下層連結部材において、結合部は、モジュールアセンブリのそれぞれの側面の上下長さを基準にして20%ないし80%のサイズに延長されていることを特徴とする、請求項3または4に記載の電池パック。
- 前記フレーム本体には、モジュールアセンブリに接する部位に冷媒の流出を防止するための密封用弾性部材がさらに装着されていることを特徴とする、請求項3または4に記載の電池パック。
- 前記側面支持部材は、モジュールアセンブリの側面に密着する板状本体と、第1または第2の下端支持部材に結合されるように折り曲げられている下端フレームと、を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記下端フレームには、締結部材によって第1または第2の下端支持部材に結合するための各貫通口が穿孔されていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の電池パック。
- 前記各側面支持部材のうち少なくとも一つには、電池セルの膨張によって電池モジュールの電気的連結部品が破裂するように、電池モジュールの電極端子連結部位に対応する部位が露出する開放部を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記各側面支持部材のうち少なくとも一つには、電池パックの作動を制御するBMS(Battery Management System)がさらに装着されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記絶縁部材には、電池セルの膨張によって電池モジュールの電気的連結部品が破裂するように、電池モジュールの電極端子連結部位に対応して「L」字状または「コ」字状の切断部が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記第1及び第2の下端支持部材は、下層モジュールアセンブリの下面を支持する下部固定リブと、前記側面支持部材に結合されるように前記下部固定リブの両側端部から延長された各結合部と、を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記各結合部のうち一つの結合部は下部固定リブから水平に延長されており、残りの結合部は下部固定リブから折り曲げられた状態で延長されていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の電池パック。
- 前記モジュールアセンブリは、各上層電池モジュールの各入出力端子と各下層電池モジュールの各入出力端子が隣接するように、各下層電池モジュールに対して各上層電池モジュールが倒立した状態で積層されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュールの各入出力端子が位置するモジュールアセンブリの一側外面には、PRA(Power Relay Assembly)が装着されていることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電池パック。
- 前記PRAが装着されるモジュールアセンブリの一側外面には、上層連結部材、下層連結部材、側面支持部材及び下端支持部材からなる群より選ばれる一つ以上の部位から延長された各PRA装着用締結具が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の電池パック。
- 前記上層モジュールアセンブリの上面コーナーに沿って装着される上端連結部材をさらに含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記上端連結部材は、平面上に四角形のフレーム構造からなっており、上層連結部材及び/または側面支持部材に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルはリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、金属層及び樹脂層を含むラミネートシートの電池ケースに電極組立体が内蔵されているパウチ型電池セルであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 単位モジュールは、各電極端子が直列に互いに連結されており、前記各電極端子の連結部が折り曲げられて積層構造をなしている二つ以上の電池セル、及び前記電極端子部位を除いて前記各電池セルの外面を覆うように互いに結合される一対のセルケースを含んで構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュールは、一つまたは二つ以上の単位モジュールを順次積層してモジュールケースに装着した構造からなっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュールは、上部から下部に垂直の冷媒流路が形成されるように、二つ以上の単位モジュールが垂直に積層されており、モジュールケースの上端面と下端面には各貫通口が穿孔されていることを特徴とする、請求項22に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュールは、上層電池モジュールと下層電池モジュールとの結合のために、上層電池モジュールと下層電池モジュールとの界面上に締結突起と締結溝がそれぞれ形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 請求項1による電池パックを電源として含むことを特徴とするデバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、または電力貯蔵装置であることを特徴とする、請求項25に記載の電池パック。
