Abstract
Description
Claims (25)
- 充放電可能な電池セル又は単位モジュール(「単位セル」)を含む電池パックであって、
前記単位セルが冷媒流動のための離隔距離を有しながら電池パックの幅方向(横方向)に直立配列された状態でパックケースに内蔵されている電池モジュールを一つ以上含む電池モジュール群と、
冷媒流入口から電池モジュール群に至る流動空間であって、パックケースの下端面と電池モジュール間の空間に連続して形成されている冷媒流入部と、
電池モジュール群から冷媒排出口に至る流動空間であって、パックケースの上端面と電池モジュール群間の空間に形成されている冷媒排出部と、
電池モジュール群の一側面に配置され、且つ前記冷媒排出部により形成される内部空間上に装着されている電装部材と、
前記冷媒流入部と冷媒排出部との間の冷媒流路であって、冷媒流入口から流入した冷媒がそれぞれの単位セルを通過しつつ冷却させ、単位セルを通過した冷媒の一部が渦流状となって電装部材を冷却させた後、冷媒排出口から排出されるようになっている冷媒流路と、
を備えることを特徴とする、電池パック。 - 前記冷媒流入部は、電池モジュール群の下部又は上部に配置されており、これに対応して前記冷媒排出部は電池モジュール群の上部又は下部に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒流入口と冷媒排出口は、パックケースにおいて同一面又は対向面に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒排出口は、パックケースの前方、後方、又は上方に向かって配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒排出口は、冷媒排出部からの冷媒が別途のダクト無しで外部に直接排出されるように、パックケース上に開口の形態で形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電装部材は、BMSであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電装部材を冷却させる冷媒は、単位時間当たり電池パック内に流入する冷媒量の5乃至50%の範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電装部材は、冷媒流入部から単位セルへの冷媒流入方向に対して20乃至70°の角度上に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電装部材と単位セルとの間には冷媒の移動のための一つ以上の連通口が形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュール群は、2つ以上の電池モジュールを含んでおり、それぞれの電池モジュールは電池パックの高さ方向に上下積層されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュール群の上面及び下面とパックケースの上面及び下面との間は、冷媒流路を形成できるように所定の幅で離隔されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記離隔されている幅は、電池モジュールの高さの5乃至50%の大きさであることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒流入部の高さは、冷媒排出部の高さの20乃至90%の大きさを有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒流入口には、冷媒の流動駆動力を提供できるように駆動ファンがさらに装着されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒流入口は、冷却された低温の空気が流入可能なように、車両のエアコンシステムに連結されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- パックケースの上面及び/又は下面は、2つ又はそれ以上の連続した傾斜面を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記パックケースの上面は、電池モジュール群の上面との距離が冷媒排出口の対向端部方向に減少するようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の電池パック。
- 前記パックケースの下面は、電池モジュール群の下面との距離が冷媒流入口の対向端部方向に減少するようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池モジュールは、8乃至24個の単位セルからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記単位セルは、単位セルの厚さの5乃至50%の間隔を置いて相互離隔されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記単位モジュールは、電極端子が直列に相互連結されている2つ以上の電池セル、及び前記電極端子部位を除いて前記電池セルの外面を取り囲むように相互結合される一対のセルカバーを備えていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルは、樹脂層と金属層を有するパウチ形ケースに電極組立体が内蔵された構造となっていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記電池セルはリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 前記冷媒は空気であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池パック。
- 請求項1乃至24のいずれかに記載の電池パックを電源として使用することを特徴とする、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグ−インハイブリッド電気自動車、又は電力貯蔵装置。
