Claims (26)
- ルアー式カテーテル接続のための挿入体であって、
カテーテルのメス型ルアー継手内への摺動可能挿入のために構成される、オス型端と、
流体送達デバイスのオス型ルアーノズルを受容するように構成される、メス型端と、
前記メス型端および前記オス型端を接続する、流体路と、
前記流体路内に位置し、開存薬を保持し、さらに、流体が前記カートリッジを通過されるとき、前記開存薬を前記カテーテル内に放出するように構成される、カートリッジと
を備える、挿入体。 - 前記カテーテルのメス型ルアー継手と連結するために前記オス型端に対面する内部ネジ山と、前記流体送達デバイス上の係止カラーと連結するために前記メス型端に対面する外部ネジ山とを有する、ネジ山付きカラーをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の挿入体。
- 前記カートリッジ内に保持される前記開存薬をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の挿入体。
- 前記開存薬は、粒子形態において、前記カートリッジ内に保持される、請求項3に記載の挿入体。
- 前記開存薬は、前記カートリッジを含浸させる液体である、請求項3に記載の挿入体。
- 前記開存薬は、抗菌薬、抗ウイルス薬、抗真菌薬、および抗血栓薬のうちの1つを含む、請求項3に記載の挿入体。
- 前記カートリッジは、多孔性材料を含む、請求項1に記載の挿入体。
- 前記多孔性材料は、スポンジ材料である、請求項7に記載の挿入体。
- 前記多孔性材料は、セラミックである、請求項7に記載の挿入体。
- 前記カートリッジは、それを通して軸方向に延在する、軸方向チャネルを含む、請求項1に記載の挿入体。
- 前記カートリッジはさらに、前記軸方向チャネルと流体連通する、少なくとも1つの半径方向チャネルを含む、請求項10に記載の挿入体。
- 前記流体路は、前記オス型端に向かって延在する、内向きテーパを有する、請求項1に記載の挿入体。
- 前記内向きテーパは、約6%である、請求項12に記載の挿入体。
- 前記流体送達デバイスは、無針注射器である、請求項1に記載の挿入体。

- カテーテルを維持するための方法であって、
挿入体を内腔およびメス型ルアー継手を有するカテーテルに接続するステップであって、前記挿入体は、オス型端と、メス型端と、前記メス型端および前記オス型端を接続する流体路と、前記流体路内に位置し、開存薬をその中に保持する、カートリッジとを備え、前記接続ステップは、前記オス型端を前記ルアー継手に連結するステップを含む、ステップと、
維持流体を含有する流体送達デバイスを前記メス型端に連結するステップと、
前記開存薬が前記内腔内に送達されるように、前記維持流体を前記流体路を通して前記カテーテル内に流動させるステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記挿入体はさらに、前記カテーテルのメス型ルアー継手と連結するために前記オス型端に対面する内部ネジ山と、前記流体送達デバイス上の係止カラーと連結するために前記メス型端に対面する外部ネジ山とを有する、ネジ山付きカラーを備える、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記流体送達デバイスは、無針注射器である、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記開存薬は、抗菌薬、抗ウイルス薬、抗真菌薬、および抗血栓薬のうちの1つを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記開存薬は、粒子形態において、前記カートリッジ内に保持される、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記開存薬は、前記カートリッジを含浸させる液体である、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記カテーテルのその後のアクセスまで、前記挿入体を前記カテーテルに接続されたままにするステップをさらに含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記流体送達デバイスを前記挿入体から分断し、エンドキャップを前記メス型端に取り付けるステップをさらに含む、請求項24に記載の方法。
