Abstract
Description
ここで、Power(x)は頂点度数よりも高い度数上昇、xは中心からの半径方向距離、nは光学装置材料の屈折率、rは頂点(中心)の曲率半径、R(x)は以下の式2に示す関数xとしての曲率半径である。
ここで、z’(x)及びz”(x)は、それぞれ、度数の関数の形で以下の式3に示す関数z(x)の第1及び第2の導関数である。
ここで、Zは1〜100の範囲の値を有する形状係数である。
ここで、Sは形状係数であり、rは頂点半径であり、係数a、b、c等は、前述した通り、所望の本発明の機能を実行するレンズ形状及び対応する度数分布を提供するように実験的に決定することができる。数式4を前記数式1及び数式2に適用して、瞬間度数プロファイルを得ることができる。
近視及び近視の進行の治療における本方法及び装置の有効性を、ヒヨコの被験体を使用して実験により試験した。様々な公知の理由で、過去に、光学器具及び方法を試験し研究するために、ヒヨコの研究が他者により使用されており、その結果がヒトの結果の予測に関連するものとして受け入れられている。
Claims (14)
- 明瞭な遠見視力を可能にするステップと、
明瞭な遠見視力を維持しながら、回折効果を導入することなく、ヒトの眼の焦点深度を増加させるステップであって、それにより近見中に調節ストレスの軽減を可能にするステップと
を含む、ヒトの近視を抑制又は逆転する方法。 - 前記焦点深度を増加させるステップが、ヒトの中心窩上の像を取り囲む、焦点の合っていない光学的ぼやけを形成するステップを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 焦点深度の増加を可能にする光学面を設けるステップをさらに含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記焦点深度の増加が少なくとも+0.25ジオプタである請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記明瞭な視力を可能にするステップが、距離矯正度数と、前記距離矯正度数よりも大きい+1〜+100ジオプタの範囲のピーク屈折度数とを設けるステップを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- ヒトの肉眼焦点深度を測定するステップと、
使用時に前記ヒトの焦点深度を増加させるように構成された連続度数分布を有する治療レンズを画定するステップと
を含む、近視の進行を治療するための屈折レンズを設計する方法。 - 遠見視力矯正度数を有する頂点と、
前記頂点から、前記遠見視力矯正度数よりも正のピーク度数上昇へ、半径方向外側に平滑に増加する度数分布と
を有し、
前記度数分布が、前記視力矯正度数と前記ピーク度数上昇との間の設計点に第1の度数を有し、前記頂点と設計点との間の分布の度数が、距離矯正に寄与するように前記遠見視力矯正度数と十分に同様の度数であり、
前記第1の度数が、前記設計点の外側にぼやけを形成するのに十分であり、
前記設計点の外側の前記度数分布度数が、ユーザの中心窩上の像を取り囲むぼやけを形成するのに十分である

- 前記レンズが、ユーザの調節ラグを少なくとも0.25ジオプタ減少させるように構成されている請求項7に記載の眼科用レンズ。
- 前記レンズが眼内レンズである請求項7に記載の眼科用レンズ。
- 前記レンズがヒトの光学組織に形成される請求項7に記載の眼科用レンズ。
- 請求項6に記載のレンズを眼の中で使用するようにヒトに提供するステップを含む、ヒトの近視を抑制又は逆転する方法。
- ヒトの眼に光学面を形成するステップを含み、
前記光学面は、使用中にヒトの焦点深度を増加させるように構成されている、ヒトの近視を抑制又は逆転する方法。
