Description
これらのコーティングは、抵抗性の形態のバクテリアに対して効力が制限されて、有効な抗菌効果の非常に狭い領域を有している。一般に、これらのタイプのコーティングは、消毒よりもむしろバクテリアの表面接着を防ぐように設計されている。
前後のテキストが明らかに反対の意図を示さない限り、以下の定義が適用されるこことを意図する:
「細菌」は、すべてのタイプの微生物を意味し、たとえばバクテリア、ウイルス、菌類、ウイルス様体、プリオン、および同様のものを包含するが、これらに限定されない。
「抗菌剤」は1以上の細菌の数を90%(1 log)より多く低減する能力を有する物質を意味する。
「活性抗菌剤」は例えば細菌の細胞分裂のようなライフサイクルの活性の間のみ、またはその期間に主として有効な抗菌剤を意味する。
「バイオフィルム」は、細菌のコミュニティーを意味し、特にはバクテリアと菌類のコミュニティーを意味し、自己発生高分子マトリクス中にあるかまたはそれにより守られているコミュニティーメンバーにより表面に付着している。
「滞留時間」は、抗菌剤の細菌性バイオフィルムとの接触が許容されている時間を意味する。
「生物学的に適合している」は、哺乳類種の体表面または哺乳類種の体内における顕著な長期の有害な効果を示さないことを意味する。
「生物分解」は、酵素によるか、または化学的もしくは物理的な生体内のプロセスによる、より小さい化学種への変化を意味する。
「高分子電解質」は、水中で解離ができる電解質基を含む複数のモノマーからのポリマーを意味する。
「強高分子電解質」は電解質基が、3≦pH≦9で水中で完全に解離する高分子電解質をいう。
「弱高分子電解質」は、約2から約10までの解離定数を有する高分子電解質をいい、強高分子電解質の基が完全に解離される範囲内のpHで部分的に解離する。
「高分子両性電解質」は、いくらかのモノマーが陽イオン性電解質基を含み、他のモノマーが陰イオン性電解質基を含む高分子電解質である。
ここで一般に、それぞれが生物学的に適合していると認められる。
組成物のある態様は、活性な殺生物剤を含まない。これらおよび他の実施態様では、ポリマーと界面活性剤の特性、および固体材料からそれらが放出される濃度は、通常の使用の間に毒性限界を超えないと認められるようにされる。
高分子電解質がいったん選択されると、当業者は、適切な架橋機構を認識して、選択することができる。
1)固体材料に接触した水性液体の局所的(その中および/または非常に近傍の領域)pHとして7未満、望ましくは6未満を提供する能力;
2)ポリマーのネットワークは親水性であり、固体材料が少なくとも幾分かの時間非浸漬状態で使用されることが意図される場合には、おそらく吸湿性でさえある;
3)固体材料に接触した水性液体の局所的(その中および/または非常に近傍の領域)な浸透圧として少なくとも約0.1Osmのオスモル濃度を提供する能力;
4)固体材料に接触するか、または近くにあるバクテリアの細胞壁を破壊するに十分である1以上の界面活性剤の濃度;および
5)ポリマーネットワークの架橋密度は材料からの界面活性剤の損失の速度を大いに遅くするほど大きい。
Claims (10)
- 親水性の架橋されたポリマーネットワーク、および1種以上の同伴された界面活性剤を含む固体殺菌剤。
- 前記ポリマーネットワークが1種以上の高分子電解質を含む、請求項1記載の固体殺菌剤。
- 前記ポリマーネットワークが本質的には高分子電解質から成る、請求項1記載の固体殺菌剤。
- 前記固体が孔を有する、請求項1記載の固体殺菌剤。
- 前記1種以上の同伴された界面活性剤が少なくとも1つの陽イオン性界面活性剤を含む、請求項1記載の固体殺菌剤。
- 前記1種以上の同伴された界面活性剤が少なくとも1つの陰イオン性界面活性剤を含む、、請求項1記載の固体殺菌剤。
- 請求項1の固体殺菌剤を含む物品。
- 請求項1の固体殺菌剤を含むコーティング。
- 本質的には請求項1の固体殺菌剤から成るコーティング。
- 1種以上のタイプのバクテリアを含む水性液体を処理する方法であって、外水性液体を、請求項1の固体殺菌剤を含むフィルタの上、中または近くを通過させることを含む方法。
