Claims (20)
- カテーテルアセンブリ内の流体の流れを制御するためのシステムであって、
カテーテルアダプタおよび針ハブを有する静脈カテーテルアセンブリであって、前記カテーテルアダプタが内部ルーメンを有する静脈カテーテルアセンブリと、
前記内部ルーメンの一部分の内部に配設された隔壁と、
前記隔壁を通って形成されたスリットと、
前記隔壁の前記スリット内に配設されたパリレンコーティングであって、約0.00005から0.0005ミリメートルの厚さを有するパリレンコーティングと、
第1の端部および第2の端部を有する導入針であって、前記第1の端部が前記針ハブに連結され、前記第2の端部が前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部ルーメンを通って延び、前記導入針の中間部分が前記隔壁の一部分の内部に配置される導入針とを含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記パリレンコーティングの厚さが0.0001から0.0002ミリメートルであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁と前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部ルーメンの内面との間に挿置された通気路をさらに含み、前記通気路が空気および血液の少なくとも一方を所望の流量で通過させるように選択された表面積および外周を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記内部ルーメンの一部分の内部に前記隔壁に隣接して配設された隔壁作動部をさらに含み、前記隔壁作動部の遠位端が前記隔壁の近位面に接触し、前記隔壁作動部の近位端が前記カテーテルアダプタの開口に隣接して配置されており、前記隔壁作動部の前記近位端は、外部デバイスを前記カテーテルアダプタの前記開口へと挿入することによってアクセスされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁作動部を通る流体経路を形成するルーメンをさらに含み、前記ルーメンが前記導入針を通過させるように構成された内径を有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記隔壁作動部が、前記隔壁作動部および前記隔壁作動部と前記内部ルーメンの前記内面との間の隙間空間の少なくとも1つの内部における流体の循環を高めるように構成された、複数の通気口および分流器を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記導入針の外面と前記隔壁作動部ルーメンの内面との間に配設された流体通気口をさらに含み、前記流体通気口を通る流量は前記導入針の外径および前記隔壁作動部ルーメンの前記内径の少なくとも1つを調整することによって決定されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のシステム。
- カテーテルアセンブリ内の流体の流れを制御するための特徴を有するカテーテルアセンブリの製造方法であって、
カテーテルアダプタおよび針ハブを有する静脈カテーテルアセンブリであって、前記カテーテルアダプタが内部ルーメンを有する静脈カテーテルアセンブリを設けるステップと、
前記内部ルーメン内に、貫通するスリットを有する隔壁を配設するステップと、
前記隔壁および前記スリットを、約0.00005から0.0005ミリメートルの厚さを有するパリレンコーティングで被覆するステップと、
前記カテーテルアダプタ内に導入針を配置するステップとを含み、前記導入針の第1の端部が前記針ハブに連結され、前記導入針の第2の端部が前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部ルーメンを通って延び、前記導入針の中間部分が前記隔壁の一部分の内部に配置されることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記パリレンコーティングの厚さが0.0001から0.0002ミリメートルであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁と前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部ルーメンの内面との間に通気路を挿置して設けるステップをさらに含み、前記通気路が空気および血液の少なくとも一方を所望の流量で通過させるように選択された表面積および外周を有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記内部ルーメンの一部分の内部に前記隔壁に隣接して隔壁作動部を配設するステップをさらに含み、前記隔壁作動部の遠位端が前記隔壁の近位面に接触し、前記隔壁作動部の近位端が前記カテーテルアダプタの開口に隣接して配置されており、前記隔壁作動部の近位端は、外部デバイスを前記カテーテルアダプタの開口へと挿入することによってアクセスされることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁作動部を通る流体経路を形成するルーメンを設けるステップをさらに含み、前記ルーメンが前記導入針を通過させるように構成された内径を有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁作動部を、前記隔壁作動部および前記隔壁作動部と前記内部ルーメンの前記内面との間の隙間空間の少なくとも1つの内部における流体の循環を高めるように構成された、複数の通気口および分流器を含むように変更するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記導入針の外面と前記隔壁作動部ルーメンの内面との間に挿置された流体通気口を設けるステップをさらに含み、前記流体通気口を通る流量は前記導入針の外径および前記隔壁作動部ルーメンの前記直径の少なくとも1つを調整することによって決定されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 静脈カテーテルアセンブリであって、
内部ルーメンを有するカテーテルアダプタであって、近位端、遠位端および中間部分を有する内部ルーメンと、
前記内部ルーメンの前記中間部分を形成する凹部と、
前記凹部内に配設された隔壁であって、前記内部ルーメンの前記近位端と前記遠位端との間に打破可能なバリアを形成する隔壁と、
前記隔壁のスリット内に配設されたパリレンコーティングであって、約0.00005から0.0005ミリメートルの厚さを有するパリレンコーティングと、
前記内部ルーメン内に配置された導入針であって、前記針の一部分が前記内部ルーメンを通って延び、前記導入針の先端が前記カテーテルアダプタを超えて延び、前記導入針の一部分が前記隔壁を通って挿入される導入針と、
前記内部ルーメンの前記近位端の内部に配置された隔壁作動部であって、前記導入針が挿入される通路を有し、前記隔壁のスリットを開くよう付勢するための第1の端部、および接触面を有する第2の端部をさらに有する隔壁作動部と、
前記カテーテルアダプタの近位端を形成する開口であって、前記隔壁作動部の前記接触面に接触するように外部デバイスを前記開口に挿入し、それにより前記隔壁作動部の前記第1の端部を、前記隔壁の前記スリットを通って前進させる開口とを含むことを特徴とするアセンブリ。 - 前記パリレンコーティングの厚さが0.0001から0.0002ミリメートルであることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記隔壁と前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部ルーメンの内面との間に挿置された通気路をさらに含み、前記通気路が空気および血液の少なくとも一方を、前記内部ルーメンの前記近位端と前記遠位端との間に所望の流量で通過させるように選択された表面積および外周を有することを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記導入針の外面と前記隔壁作動部通路の内面との間に挿置された流体通気口をさらに含み、前記流体通気口を通る流量は前記導入針の外径および前記隔壁作動部通路の内径の少なくとも1つを調整することによって決定されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記隔壁作動部が、前記隔壁作動部通路および前記隔壁作動部と前記カテーテルアダプタの内部ルーメンの前記内面との間の隙間空間の少なくとも1つの内部における流体の循環を高めるように構成された、複数の通気口および分流器をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記隔壁の近位面が、前記隔壁作動部の遠位端を収容するためのキャビティをさらに含み、前記隔壁の遠位面がドーム形状であることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
