Abstract

1.技術分野
この発明は、概略的には、細長い部材を保護するための繊維スリーブに関し、より具体的には、保護コーティングを有するニットのスリーブに関する。
自動車や飛行機、航空宇宙船等において、摩耗、液体および熱の影響からワイヤを保護するために、保護スリーブ内のワイヤおよびワイヤハーネスを被覆することが知られている。所望の保護を得るために、保護スリーブは、複数の層を有してもよく、いくつかの層が異なるタイプの保護のために特別に設けられてもよい。たとえば、ある層は、プラスチック材のシートのように耐水用に設けられてもよく、また別の層は、耐摩耗用に設けられてもよく、さらに別の層は、不織布層のように温度条件に対する保護用に設けられてもよい。残念ながら、上述の多層スリーブは、様々な外部の環境条件に対して適切な保護を与え得るけれども、それらは、保護される細長い部材の外面を摩耗させる可能性があり、そして、典型的には嵩高く、その結果、比較的重く、限定的な柔軟性を示すものとなる。このことは、いくつかの用途で問題となり得るものであり、特に、たとえば飛行機や航空宇宙等の用途のような、窮屈で曲がりくねった領域を通すことを必要とする用途や重量制限を有する用途において問題となり得る。さらに、多層スリーブは、個々の層の製造に必要とされる複雑かつ特別の要件が与えられて、典型的にはコスト上昇が生じる。
より詳細に図面を参照して、図1は、以下にスリーブ10と称され、本発明の一局面に従って構成される、コーティングされた繊維スリーブの概略側面図を示す。スリーブ10は、たとえばワイヤやワイヤハーネス14のような細長い部材の経路を定めるとともに、摩耗に対する露出、および液体への露出のようなその他の環境条件に対する露出からその細長い部材を保護するための、内側の細長い繊維の壁12(図2)を有する。細長い壁12は、長手方向の中心軸16に沿って延び、内側の空洞20と接する内面18を有し、その内面18は、保護される細長い部材14および外面に対して柔軟で衝撃を和らげる非研磨面を与えるように構成される。また、繊維の壁12は、それに接着されて壁12に液不浸透性を与える、不浸透性のエラストマーコーティング24が施された外面22を有し、それにより、スリーブ10の外部でコーティング24に接して存在し得る液状汚染物質に対して細長い部材14が保護される。これによって、繊維の壁12は、スリーブ10に強くて丈夫な特性を与え、一方でまた、細長い部材14に対してソフトで衝撃を和らげる内面18を与える。さらに、コーティング24は、液体に対して不浸透性の障壁をスリーブ10に与え、それによってスリーブ10の外部のあらゆる液体が空洞20に侵入するのを防ぎ、一方で同時に、経路を定める目的で必要とされ得るような柔軟性を壁12が維持または実質的に維持することを可能にする。

前記壁は、内面および外面を有し、
前記内面は、前記細長い部材が受容される略管状の空洞を与え、
前記内面は、少なくとも一部に、前記細長い部材との接触を緩和する非研磨面を与える、内側に敷設された糸を含み、さらに
前記内壁の前記外面上における不浸透性のエラストマーコーティングと、
前記細長い部材に接着された、少なくともいくらかの前記内側に敷設された糸とを備える、繊維スリーブ。 - 前記エラストマーコーティング上に配設される繊維の外壁をさらに含み、

前記管状の内壁の外面にエラストマーコーティングを塗布するステップとを含む、方法。 - 繊維の外壁を前記コーティング上に形成するステップをさらに含み、
