Description
EDXの場合、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)で撮影する粒子を固定し、撮影箇所における元素の分布を測定できるため、表面の粒子形状に沿った元素の分布が得られる。得られた元素分布からフッ素原子の存在が確認できれば、母材粒子の表面にフッ化カーボン粒子が付着しているといえる。
ESCAの場合は複合化の前後で粒子表面のフッ素原子の増減を調べることでフッ素原子が表面に存在するかどうかがわかる。フッ素原子の存在が確認できれば、母材粒子の表面にフッ化カーボン粒子が付着しているといえる。
走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)を用いて観察を行い、SEM画像から任意の10粒子を選び、その直径を測定し、平均粒子径を算出した。
酸素フラスコ燃焼法により試料10mgを燃焼し、分解ガスを脱イオン水20mlに吸収させ、吸収液中のフッ素イオン濃度をフッ素選択電極法(フッ化物イオンメータ(オリオン社製:イオンアナライザ901))で測定することにより求めた。
フッ化カーボン粒子(フッ素含有量62重量%、平均粒子径20μm)を10g、二硫化モリブデン(MoS2)(Aldrich社製、平均粒子径40.0μm)を40g用いてノビルタ((株)ホソカワミクロン製)で5000回転で5分処理を行い、二硫化モリブデン表面にフッ化カーボン粒子を被覆させた複合化粒子を得た。
母材粒子の種類、フッ化カーボン粒子の種類及び重量を表1及び2に示すように変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして母材粒子表面にフッ化カーボン粒子を被覆させた複合化粒子を得た。

比較例1及び2では、二硫化モリブデン(Aldrich社製、平均粒子径40μm)、二硫化モリブデン(Aldrich社製、平均粒子径3.5μm)をそれぞれ用いた。
二硫化モリブデン粒子とフッ化カーボン粒子とをメカノケミカル法を用いずに混合したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、二硫化モリブデン粒子とフッ化カーボン粒子との混合物を得た。
市販の投射機を用いて、実施例1、2、5、12、13、15、17、19で得られた複合化粒子、比較例1、2の二硫化モリブデン、又は、比較例3で得られた混合物を被投射基材(アルミ板)に対して45°の角度になるように投射し、固体潤滑層を形成した。
得られた固体潤滑層における摩耗試験は、先端がR形状になったSKH51の焼入れ焼戻し材のブレード(硬度Hv750〜Hv850)が固定されたディスク状のホルダと、表面に固体潤滑層が形成されているディスク状の基材(外形Φ44mm、内径Φ32mm)とを用いて行った。なお、ブレードが固定されているホルダには、3つのブレード(先端がR6mm、幅4mm、奥行き5mm、長さ11mm)が、回転半径が19mmとなる位置にそれぞれ固定されている。
ポリイミド前駆体溶液(UワニスA、宇部興産(株)製、固形分20重量%溶液)に対して、実施例1、2、5、12、13、15、17、19で得られた複合化粒子、比較例1、2の二硫化モリブデン、又は、比較例3で得られた混合物を10重量%混合し、アルミ基材上に80μmの厚みで塗布し、120℃で20分乾燥した後、更に300℃で1時間加熱して、固体潤滑層を形成した。
得られた固体潤滑層において上記同様の摩耗試験を行った。結果を表4に示す。
Claims (6)
- 母材粒子の表面にフッ化カーボン粒子が付着していることを特徴とする固体粒子。
- 母材粒子は、二硫化モリブデン、窒化ホウ素、窒化アルミ、二硫化タングステン、アルミナ、チタンオキシド、シリカ、シリケート、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン、ポリイミド、及び、高密度ポリエチレンからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種からなる請求項1記載の固体粒子。
- フッ化カーボン粒子と母材粒子との質量比が60/40〜1/99である請求項1又は2記載の固体粒子。
- フッ化カーボン粒子がメカノケミカル法により母材粒子に付着させられた請求項1、2又は3記載の固体粒子。
- 請求項1、2、3又は4記載の固体粒子からなることを特徴とする固体潤滑剤。
- 表面に請求項1、2、3若しくは4記載の固体粒子、又は、請求項5記載の固体潤滑剤を有することを特徴とする金属部材。
