Abstract
【解決手段】電気的負荷103に供給される入力電力Vの電圧をクランプするように形成された第1電圧クランピング装置109と、前記電気的負荷103に供給される電圧をクランプするように形成された第2電圧クランピング装置113を備える電圧保護装置の様々な具体例である。直列のインダクタンスLは、前記第1及び第2の電圧クランピング装置109、113を分離する。さらに、電気的負荷103への入力電力Vの直接接続を選択的に行うように用いられるスイッチング要素R1の動作を回路が制御するように用いられる。

Description
本出願は、2007年4月5日に提出された「過電圧による過度的な電圧サージサプレッサへのダメージを防止すること」と題された米国仮特許出願番号60/910,355の優先権を主張し、その全体を本明細書に参照として組み込むものである。

Claims (20)
- 電気的負荷(103)に供給される入力電力(V)の電圧をクランプするために形成される少なくとも一つの第1電圧クランピング装置(109)と、
前記電気的負荷(103)に供給される前記電圧をクランプするために形成される少なくとも一つの第2電圧クランピング装置(113)と、
前記第1及び第2電圧クランピング装置(109、113)を分離する直列のインダクタンス(L)と、
電気的負荷(103)に入力電力(V)の直接の接続を選択的に実現するために用いられるスイッチング要素(R1)と、
前記スイッチング要素(R1)の動作を制御する回路と
を備えるシステム。 - 前記少なくとも一つの第1電圧クランピング装置(109)はさらに金属酸化物バリスタを備える請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも一つの第2電圧クランピング装置(113)はさらに金属酸化物バリスタを備える請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記スイッチング要素(R1)は、さらにリレーを備える請求項1記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも一つの第1電圧クランピング装置(109)のクランピング電圧は、少なくとも一つの第2電圧クランピング装置(113)のクランピング電圧の少なくも2倍である請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記スイッチング要素(R1)は、さらに
前記スイッチング要素(R1)が入力電力(V)の前記電気的負荷(103)への直接の接続を実現する第1の状態と、
前記直接の接続を開放する第2の状態と
を備える請求項1記載のシステム。 - 前記スイッチング要素(R1)に並列に接続される直列のインピーダンス(R,C)であり、前記スイッチング要素(R1)が前記第1状態のときに前記スイッチング要素(R1)が前記直列のインピーダンスをバイパスする最小の抵抗経路をしめす請求項6記載のシステム。
- 前記スイッチング要素(R1)はさらに、前記第2の状態のときに前記電気的負荷(103)の両端に係る遮断抵抗を接続する請求項6記載のシステム。
- 前記電気的負荷(103)にインピーダンス(126)を付加するために形成されるインピーダンス切換スイッチング要素(R2)をさらに備え、前記制御回路はさらに前記インピーダンススイッチング要素(R2)の動作をさらに制御する請求項6記載のシステム。
- 前記スイッチング要素(R1)は前記インピーダンススイッチング要素(R2)に並列であり、前記電気的負荷(103)に付加されるときに前記スイッチング要素の両端の電圧を最小化するように前記インピーダンス(126)は構成され、
前記制御回路は、スパーキングにより前記スイッチング要素(R)への物理的損失の可能性を最小化するために直接結合を開放するべく前記スイッチング要素(R1)及び前記インピーダンススイッチング要素(R2)の操作を順番に行うように形成される請求項9記載のシステム。 - 電力電圧(V)を電気的負荷(103)に供給するステップと、
直列のインダクタンス(L)を用いて第1及び第2並列クランピング装置を分離することによって第1並列クランピング装置及び第2並列クランピング装置(113)の間の電力電圧(V)において経験される過電圧の消散を分配するステップと、
前記過電圧の大きさ及び期間が少なくとも一つの予め設定された電圧−時間閾値(166)より大きくない限り、前記電力電圧(V)の直接的接合を前記電気的負荷(103)に、実現するステップと
を備える方法。 - 前記少なくとも一つの予め設定された電圧−時間閾値(166)は複数の予め設定された電圧−時間閾値(166)をさらに備え、前記方法はさらに、
前記予め設定された電圧−時間閾値(166)をメモリ(406)に蓄積するステップと、
前記過電圧を識別するために前記電力電圧(V)をモニタするステップと、
前記過電圧の期間を計るステップと
を備える請求項11記載の方法。 - 前記過電圧の大きさ及び期間が少なくとも一つの予め設定された電圧−時間閾値(166)より大きくならない限り、前記電力電圧(V)の前記電気的負荷(103)への前記直接接続を行うステップは、前記第1状態から第2状態への絶縁リレー(R1)のスイッチングステップをさらに備え、前記リレーは前記第1の状態にて前記電気的負荷(103)に前記電力電圧を直接に接続し、さらに前記リレーは前記第2の状態にあって前記電気的負荷(103)の両端に遮断抵抗を課す、請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記絶縁リレー(R1)が前記第2の状態にあるとき、前記入力電力(V)から前記電気的負荷(103)を完全に絶縁するステップをさらに備える請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記電気的負荷(103)は、前記絶縁リレー(R1)が前記第2の状態にあるときに、前記入力電力(V)から部分的に絶縁される請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記電力電圧が前記電気的負荷(103)の安定状態動作の間、瞬時電圧降下を経験すると、インピーダンス(126)を前記電気的負荷(103)に加えるステップをさらに備える請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記インピーダンス(126)を除去するステップは、前記電力電圧(V)が、前記電力電圧が定格状態に達した後、前記電力電圧サイクルにて予め定義されたポイントに前記電力電圧(V)が達すると、前記電気的負荷(103)から前記インピーダンスを除去する請求項16記載の方法。
- 電気的負荷(103)に供給される電力電圧(V)を調整するためのシステムであって、
第1の並列クランピング装置(109)及び第2の並列クランピング装置(113)の間の電力電圧(V)にて経験される過電圧の消散を分配する手段と、
前記過電圧の大きさ及び期間が少なくとも一つの予め定義された電圧−時間閾値(166)よりも大きくならない限り、前記電気的負荷(103)への前記電力電圧(V)の直接の結合を行う手段と
を備えるシステム。 - 前記電力電圧が前記電気的負荷の安定状態動作の間に瞬時電圧降下を経験すると、前記電気的負荷(103)にインピーダンス(126)を付加するための手段をさらに備える請求項18記載のシステム。
- 前記電力電圧が定格状態に達した後に、前記電力電圧が前記電力電圧サイクルの予め定義されたポイントに達すると、前記電気的負荷(103)から前記インピーダンス(126)を除去する手段をさらに備える請求項19記載の4システム。
