Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance dewatering efficiency by efficiently ventilating a dewatering tub and promoting drying of clothing.SOLUTION: This two-tub washing machine comprises: a washing tub 1 for washing clothing therein; a dewatering tub 6 that performs dewatering of the clothing therein and has an opening part 8 at an upper part thereof; an inner cover 5 for opening and closing the opening part 8; and an outer cover 4 for covering the inner cover 5 from an upper side. Each of the inner cover 5 and the outer cover 4 is provided with a ventilating hole that connects an inner part and an outer part of the dewatering tub 6. Accordingly, the two-tub washing machine reduces humidity in the inner part of the dewatering tub, and thereby enhances dewatering efficiency by promoting drying of the clothing in addition to a dewatering operation using centrifugal force.
