Claims (13)
- 医療装置とともに使用するために構成されたバルブであって、
第1セグメントと第2セグメントを有するバルブ本体と、
前記バルブ本体を貫通して伸びるルーメンと、
を備え、
前記第1セグメントは前記第2セグメントと一体になっており、前記第2セグメントは、第1形態から第2形態へと弾性的に変形可能であり、
前記ルーメンは、前記第1セグメントを貫通して伸びる第1部分と前記第2セグメントを貫通して伸びる第2部分とを有し、前記第2部分は、閉鎖形態と開口形態の間を可動であり、(第2セグメントの)前記第1形態から前記第2形態への弾性的な変形によって、前記第2部分が前記閉鎖形態から前記開口形態となることになる、
バルブ。 - 前記第2セグメントが第1形態で楕円形の横断面を有し、第2形態で略円形の横断面を有する請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- 前記第1セグメントは、円形の横断面を有する近位端と楕円形の横断面を有する遠位端とを有する請求項2に記載のバルブ。
- 前記バルブ本体は細長い医療装置のルーメン内に配置するように構成され、第1セグメントは、前記細長い医療装置のルーメンの内表面とともに、シールを形成するように構成される請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- 前記バルブ本体は、シリコーンゴム、ラテックスゴム、ポリウレタン、アクリルポリマー、熱可塑性エラストマーからなるグループから選択された少なくとも1つの材料からなる請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- バルブ本体がバルーンカテーテルの膨張ルーメン内に嵌合するように構成された請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- 第1形態での第2セグメントは、約0.5mmから約3.5mmに及ぶ横断径と約0.25mmから約3.5mmに及ぶ共役直径を有する請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- 閉鎖形態の時には、前記ルーメンの第2部分はスリットとなり、第2セグメントの第1形態から第2形態への弾性的変形によって前記スリットが前記開口状態へとなる、請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- 前記第2セグメントが前記第1形態では、楕円筒形をした本体を有する請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- 前記第1セグメントが円錐台筒形をした本体を有する請求項1に記載のバルブ。
- バルーンカテーテルアセンブリであって、
近位端と、遠位端と、前記近位端から前記遠位端まで伸びる第1ルーメンと、前記遠位端に配置され、前記第1ルーメンと流体連結するバルーンを有するバルーンカテーテルと、
バルブ本体を備えるバルブであって、前記バルブ本体を通って延びる潰れた第2ルーメンを有し、該第2ルーメンは第1形態から第2形態へと前記バルブ本体を弾性的に変形することで開口するバルブと
前記バルブ本体を弾性的に変形することが可能なシールを備える取り外し可能なハブと、
を備えるバルーンカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記シールが、トーイボースト(Tuohy-Borst)シールである、請求項11に記載のバルーンカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 前記バルブは、前記バルブ本体より近位にあって前記バルブ本体と一体となっているシール部分を備え、前記シール部分はそこを貫通する第3ルーメンを有し、前記第2ルーメンと前記第3ルーメンは一列に並び、前記シール部分は、第1ルーメンの内表面と係合し、流体密封シールを形成する、請求項11に記載のバルーンカテーテルアセンブリ。
