Abstract
Description
Claims (3)
- 近位端と遠位端との間に延在する中央内腔を有して形成された長尺のカテーテルと、
その中に粒子が懸濁された流動媒体のソースであって、前記カテーテルの前記近位端と流体連通して接続されたソースと、
複数の互いに平行な内腔を有して形成された先端であって、該先端の各内腔を前記中央内腔と流体連通して個別に配置するように前記カテーテルの前記遠位端に固定され、各個々の内腔がその内部に粒子を連続的に受け入れるような寸法を有している、先端と、
粒子が懸濁された前記流動媒体を前記カテーテルの前記内腔内を通過させて、前記粒子を前記先端の個々の内腔内に配列させて更に通過させるようにするための手段と、
を備える注入システム。 - 前記カテーテルは、外面を有し、管状形状を有して軸線を画定し、
前記システムは、
前記先端に近接する位置で前記カテーテルを囲繞するように前記カテーテルの前記外面上に位置付けられた構成可能なバルブであって、前記カテーテルの前記軸線に略平行な遠位方向において前記開口内及び前記カテーテルの近傍を流体が軸方向移動するのを許容するように前記カテーテルの前記軸線周りに配置された複数の開口を有して形成されたバルブと、
前記バルブを選択的に構成して、前記開口を通る流体の流量を制御する手段と
を更に備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記バルブは、前記カテーテルの前記外面に適合する内径を有し前記軸線を中心とする円環として形成され、
前記バルブは、前記カテーテルの前記外面よりも所定の径方向距離に外径が確立されるベース構成に膨張可能であり、更に、前記バルブを追加膨張させると、前記外径は実質的に維持される一方、前記開口は徐々に収縮する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
