Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- パルス溶接の方法であり:
パルス溶接法を実施するために溶接電極をワークピースへ向けて前進させるステップ;
前記パルス溶接法に対するパルス溶接波形を生成するステップであり、該パルス溶接波形は、前記電極が前記ワークピースから分離するときに開始するピーク電流及びバックグラウンド電流によって定義されるパルスを有する一連の連続的な波形を含む、ステップ;
前記電極と前記ワークピースとの間に短絡が生じるときを検出するステップ;
前記短絡をクリアするステップ;及び
前記短絡がクリアされた後にプラズマ・ブースト・パルスを生成するステップ;
を含み、
前記ピーク電流と前記バックグラウンド電流との比は、少なくとも6である、方法。 - 前記比は、6から9までの範囲又は6から8までの範囲にある、請求項1に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- コンタクトチップ・ワークピース間距離(CTWD)を1から2インチまでの範囲、又は1.25から1.85インチまでの範囲に維持するステップをさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- 前記ピーク電流の持続期間は、0.5から3msまでの範囲、0.5から2msまでの範囲、又は0.5から1.5msまでの範囲にある、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- 前記電極は、前記電極の重量で0.010から0.030%の範囲又は0.012から0.023%までの範囲における硫黄含有量を有する、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスは、5から20KWの範囲において調節されるパワー及び0.2から5msまでの持続期間を有する請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- 前記電極は、有心電極である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- 前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスに続いて制御されるバックグラウンド電流区分の生成をさらに含む、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- 前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスは、調節されたアーク電流である、請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- 前記電極と前記ワークピースとの間のアーク長を0.3インチ未満に維持するステップをさらに含む、請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のパルス溶接方法。
- パルス溶接法を実施する電気アーク溶接機であり:
前記パルス溶接法を実施するためにパルス溶接波形を生成し、前進する電極、特に有心電極とワークピースとの間において電圧駆動電流を供給する波形回路であり、前記パルス溶接法は、各々が、前記電極が前記ワークピースから分離されるときに開始するピーク電流及びバックグラウンド電流によって定義されるパルスを有する一連の連続的な波形を含む、波形回路;
前記電極と前記ワークピースとの間における短絡の検出において短絡信号を生成する短絡検出回路;
前記短絡信号に応答して、前記短絡をクリアするためのクリア回路;及び
前記短絡がクリアされた後に、プラズマ・ブースト・パルスを生成するためのブースト回路;
を含み、前記波形回路は、少なくとも6である前記ピーク電流と前記バックグラウンド電流との間の比を供給する、電気アーク溶接機。 - 請求項11に記載の電気アーク溶接機であり、前記波形回路は、6から9までの範囲、又は6から8までの範囲における前記ピーク電流と前記バックグラウンド電流との間の比を供給し;及び/又は、コンタクトチップ・ワークピース間距離(CTWD)は、1から2インチまでの範囲又は1.25から1.75インチまでの範囲にあり;及び/又は、前記ピーク電流の持続期間は、0.5から3ms、0.5から2ms又は0.5から1.5msまでの範囲にあり;及び/又は前記電極は、該電極の重量によって0.010から0.030%又は0.012から0.023%までの範囲における硫黄含有量を有する、電気アーク溶接機。
- 請求項11又は12に記載の電気アーク溶接機であり、ブースト回路は、5から20KWまでの範囲において調節されるパワー、及び0.2から5msの持続期間を有する前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスを生成するように動作可能であり;及び/又は前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスに続くバックグラウンド電流区分を生成するように動作可能である、電気アーク溶接機。
- 前記短絡の後及び前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスの前に前記電流を増加させるための回路をさらに含む、請求項11から13のいずれか1項に記載の電気アーク溶接機。
- 前記プラズマ・ブースト・パルスの間にアーク電圧を感知するための回路、及び前記の感知されたアーク電圧に基づいて前記バックグラウンド電流区分を調整するための回路をさらに含む、請求項11乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の電気アーク溶接機。
