Abstract

Description
本出願は、仮出願第61/027177号(2008年2月8日出願)の利益を主張する。
本発明は、セミ互貫入ポリマーネットワーク(セミIPN)を含むポリウレタン又はポリ尿素のテープ及びフィルム並びに、水並びに砂及びほこりなどの粒子による侵食から航空機表面を保護することを包含する表面保護におけるそれらの使用に関する。
フィルム押出成形は、58mm Davis Standard製、同時回転二軸スクリュー押出機上にて実施した。それは約84:1のL/D比を有し、66cm(26インチ)幅のダイを通して押し出す。フィルムは、オンライン式コロナ処理装置にてコロナ処理した。
ポリウレタンロールに、eビームを照射した。フィルム厚及びeビーム装置の電圧制限(最大260kV)ゆえに、サンプルをeビームに2回通過させて、サンプルを両面から照射するようにした。表3は、サンプルのeビーム条件についてまとめている。
サンプルは、0.076mm(3ミル)のコーティング厚さで、光開始剤を含む90/10のアクリル酸イソオクチル/アクリル酸モノマー混合物でコーティングし、続いてUV硬化して感圧性アクリル接着剤を形成した。
耐雨食性の試験に使用する装置の概略を図1に示す。本装置については、3Mの特許申請「METHOD OF TESTING LIQUID DROP IMPACT AND APPARATUS」(代理人整理番号62547US002、米国特許出願第11/680,784号(2007年3月1日出願))にて詳細に述べられている。
本実施例は、セミIPNポリウレタンが複合構造へと共硬化される能力を示す。これにより、感圧性接着剤を必要とせずに、複合材料内へとフィルムを付着することが可能となった。セミIPNポリウレタンと共に使用することが可能であるが、これは、架橋網状組織が硬化工程中のフィルムの溶融及び流動を防ぐためである。
Claims (9)
- 樹脂マトリックス及び樹脂マトリックスとは組成が異なる外側表面層を含む複合部材であって、前記外側表面は、架橋ポリウレタン、架橋ポリ尿素、及び架橋混合ポリウレタン/ポリ尿素ポリマーからなる群から選択される架橋ポリマーを含む少なくとも1つの層を含む、複合部材。
- 前記外側表面層が更に、架橋ポリマーと共にセミIPNを形成する非架橋架橋ポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の部材。
- 前記非架橋架橋ポリマーが、ポリウレタン、ポリ尿素、及び混合ポリウレタン/ポリ尿素ポリマーからなる群から選択される、請求項2に記載の部材。
- 前記架橋ポリマーが更に、アクリレート含有成分を含む、請求項1に記載の部材。
- 前記架橋ポリマーが更に、アクリレート含有成分を含む、請求項2に記載の部材。
- 前記架橋ポリマーが更に、アクリレート含有成分を含む、請求項3に記載の部材。
- a)セミIPNを含む少なくとも1つの層であって、前記セミIPNは、
i)ポリウレタン、ポリ尿素、及び混合ポリウレタン/ポリ尿素ポリマーからなる群から選択される、アクリレート含有成分を更に含む架橋ポリマーと、
ii)ポリウレタン、ポリ尿素、及び混合ポリウレタン/ポリ尿素ポリマーからなる群から選択される非架橋架橋ポリマーとのセミIPNである、少なくとも1つの層並びに、
b)接着層を含む、フィルム又はテープ。 - 前記接着層により金属部材の表面に結合せしめられた請求項7に記載のフィルム又はテープを含む、構造物。
- 前記接着層により複合部材の表面に結合せしめられた請求項7に記載のフィルム又はテープを含む、構造物。
