Abstract
Description
本出願は、2008年9月18日付出願の米国仮出願第61/098,159号の権利を主張する。
本発明の技術分野は、概して、高負荷のメディアコンテンツの自動検出および管理転送のためのシステムおよび方法に関する。本発明によって、ネットワークサービスプロバイダは、高負荷のメディアコンテンツのための適合された配信を促進することによって、サービスプロバイダが責任を有するデータ通信ネットワークの一部を保護することが可能になる。概して、適合された配信は、問題あるデータ転送をネットワーク使用のピーク期間を避けるように調整する。
Claims (20)
- 高負荷のメディアコンテンツの配布を検出および適合させるためのネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム(100)であって、
第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)と、
第2のコンピューティングデバイス(104a〜104c、108a〜108c)と、
前記ネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム(102)内の全コンピューティングデバイス(104a〜104c、106、108a〜108b、110、112、114、116、118、120、122、124、126)の間のデータ通信を促進するデータ通信ネットワーク(102)と、を備え、
前記第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)は、転送されるメディアコンテンツを示す、データ転送リクエストを生成し、前記データ転送リクエストに応答して、前記メディアコンテンツが転送される前記データ通信ネットワークの少なくとも一部に対して、前記メディアコンテンツが高負荷であるかどうかに関して、自動決定を行う、ネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム。 - 前記第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)と前記第2のコンピューティングデバイス(104a〜104c)との間の中継器として機能する第3のコンピューティングデバイス(104a〜104c)をさらに備え、高負荷のメディアコンテンツが、終端受信デバイス(108a〜108c)に転送される前に前記第3のコンピューティングデバイス(140a〜104c)に転送される、請求項1に記載のネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム。
- 前記第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)は、少なくとも前記第2のコンピューティングデバイス(104a〜104c)から前記第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)への前記高負荷のメディアコンテンツのダウンロードを適合させる、請求項1に記載のネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム。
- 前記第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)は、前記第1のコンピューティングデバイス(120)から少なくとも前記第2のコンピューティングデバイス(108a〜108c)への前記高負荷のメディアコンテンツのアップロードを適合させる、請求項1に記載のネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム。
- 前記メディアコンテンツが高負荷かどうかの前記自動決定は、使用可能なネットワークリソースの分析と、前記メディアコンテンツに関連する特徴の分析と、をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム
- 使用可能なネットワークリソースの前記分析は、過去のネットワークパフォーマンスに基づいて、個別の時間帯の間に使用可能なネットワーク帯域幅を予測することをさらに含む、請求項5に記載のネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム
- 前記メディアコンテンツに関連する前記特徴の前記分析は、転送される前記メディアコンテンツのサイズおよびタイプ、ならびに使用可能なデータ転送プロトコルの分析をさらに含む、請求項5に記載のネットワーク接続されたコンピューティングシステム
- コンピュータ実行可能命令でコード化されたコンピュータ可読媒体であって、実行時に、
転送されるメディアコンテンツを示すデータ転送リクエストを生成することと、
前記データ転送リクエストに応答して、それを経由して前記メディアコンテンツが転送されるデータ通信ネットワーク(102)の少なくとも一部に対して、前記メディアコンテンツが高負荷であるかどうかを自動的に決定することと、を含む、方法を実施する、コンピュータ可読媒体。 - 前記方法は、受信デバイス(108a〜108c)に転送される前に、送信デバイス(120)から中間媒体中継デバイス(104a〜104c)に高負荷のメディアコンテンツを転送することをさらに含む、請求項8に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 受信デバイス(108a〜c)は、少なくとも1つの送信デバイス(104a〜104c)から前記受信デバイス(108a〜108c)への前記高負荷のメディアコンテンツのダウンロードを適合させる、請求項8に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 送信デバイス(120)は、前記送信デバイス(120)から少なくとも1つの受信デバイス(108a〜108c)への前記高負荷のメディアコンテンツのアップロードを適合させる、請求項8に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記メディアコンテンツが高負荷であるかどうかの前記自動決定は、使用可能なネットワークリソースの分析および前記メディアコンテンツに関連する特徴の分析をさらに含む、請求項8に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 使用可能なネットワークリソースの前記分析は、過去のネットワークパフォーマンスに基づいて、個別の時間帯の間に使用可能なネットワーク帯域幅を予測することをさらに含む、請求項12に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記メディアコンテンツに関連する前記特徴の前記分析は、転送される前記メディアコンテンツのサイズおよびタイプ、ならびに使用可能なデータ転送プロトコルの分析をさらに含む、請求項12に記載のコンピュータ可読媒体。
- コンピュータにより実現される方法であって、
転送されるメディアコンテンツを示すデータ転送リクエストを生成することと、
前記データ転送リクエストに応答して、それを経由して前記メディアコンテンツが転送されるデータ通信ネットワーク(102)の少なくとも一部に対して、前記メディアコンテンツが高負荷であるかどうかを自動的に決定することと、を含む、コンピュータにより実現される方法。 - 前記方法は、受信デバイス(108a〜108c)に転送される前に、送信デバイス(120)から中間媒体中継器デバイス(104a〜104c)に高負荷のメディアコンテンツを転送することをさらに含む、請求項15に記載のコンピュータにより実現される方法。
- 受信デバイス(108a〜108c)は、少なくとも1つの送信デバイス(104a〜104c)から前記受信デバイス(108a〜108c)への前記高負荷のメディアコンテンツのダウンロードを適合させる、請求項15に記載のコンピュータにより実現される方法。
